this flooding reminds of sharon stone's commet on earth quake in china...its all karma. What you guys doing in Iraq and Afgahnistan is bringing GOD's curse into your lands...haha.

Yeah, that's right. God dosen't like what's going on in Afganistan so he decided to flood Iowa!! You're brilliant!! If this were the case wouldn't God send some kind of plague to Washington D.C.? Sorry for attempting logic. I hope god dosen't punish me by flooding another country.

The thing I love most about this video is the delight and wonder in the chidlren's voices as they share this adventure with their dad.

And amen on the "victims" comment. My husband is an Iowan. Iowans just aren't whiners, in general.

Where's Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton complaining that Bush blew up the levees? Where are all the blacks looting, raping and stealing? Oh wait..these Iowans aren't "victims of da white man". by the way were the black people of Ames more affected in a negative way than the whites because I sure didn't see Shepard Smith or Anderson Cooper there.

Well, you wouldn't see them as there are probably about 5 black people in all of Ames Iowa.

The Iowa State basketball team resides there. Maybe they couldn't rob the Hardee's because of the flood water. You'll have to look up the reference to that from a few years ago, when the Hardee's was robbed and the cops inquired as to whom it might have been and the girl went over to the Iowa State poster on the wall and pointed out the robber.

is this what happens to a state when the residence are for seperating families by deproting them inorder to "support" american laws? AGain American...The Bible states "dont not oppress the stranger or the alien, and everytime the Bible talks about treatment of foreigners or aliens it is always bad news for my opponents...Stop deporting them..it is against the law!!! AGAINST GODS LAW!

Great footage! I'm from Ames but I left for Poland a couple of days before the flooding =D It looks pretty bad especially down by the skatepark, possibly worse than '93?
