Vreid is very cool too (Windir's new band after Valfar died), though it is nowhere near as atmospheric; rather it is more on the thrashy side of black metal. They call it "Black and Roll".

Mayhem, Gorgoroth and Burzum. The only reason why many knows about them (referring to people that generally doesn't listen to bm) is because the crazy things that has been in the papers about them. So, finally a band that I can say I listen to without having people judging me lol not that I care that much. Taake is known for their good music, not satanism, blood drinking and murders. I'm not saying that all of what the media wrote is true or that they don't play good music tho.

Alright. The picture you see is the personification of the black death, which struck Norway in 1349. She was portrayed, as you see, as an old woman carrying either a besom broom or a rake. If she came to your house with a besom broom, all in your house would die. If she came to your house with a rake, some would survive.

You can actually also see the same image on Burzum's "Svarte Dauen," which is a bootleg, but on the cover you can see t his exact same figure walking up to a house, and the title "Svarte Dauen" means Black Death.
