  • @rukkee22 hey how much psi did get with the superchips tuner when you got everything tuned on your ss/tc? More then 22? Just wondering. I'm getting the gms1 and a superchips tuner.

  • @N3CROKiLLA33 just put trifecta in your car. you ll get the selection. 15psi/22psi by pushing a button

  • i live in wisconsin and me and my buddy drove my ss sc to ZZp's shop and we saw and heard the twin charged car ! they even had a chevy cruise on their dyno tht they were toying with. Ryan and the rest of the guys are ZZP are top notch. The turbo kit is very much worth it. My buddy loves the kit from ZZP !

  • @cutegumbygurl nonononnon we all love zzp

  • @huckernage lol im not saying anythig bad about other companys i just really like zzp good quality parts.

  • No LSJ can break into the low 12's on GM stg 3 and bolt-ons whereas A SIMPLE tune on the LNF will run mid 12's... game over LNF for the win......It takes far more to get a LSJ to equal the LNF in terms of upgradeds and parts ... FAR MORE.... A twin charged LSJ doesnt count... unless you twinturbo a LNF... The we'll race... The LNF will always be faster because it comes with far more hp/tq to begin with... Nuff said.....

  • @08turboSS

You do realize GM stage 3 could include a 50shot right? That would put it over 300 wheel with a better powerband than a tuned TC. I agree it does take a lot more for an LSJ to make the power an LNF can with a tune but there aren't many "tune only" lnf's running mid 12's . high 12's .... there are some but it usually take some bolt on's and suspension mod's to run mid to low 12's . Most tune only TC's run low 13's. I've owned both .... but a turbo swapped LSJ is king right now.

  • The fastest M62 only LSJ is a redline. 12.2@119mph. Not bad for using a heaten. To the dumb-asses who think I'm jealous. I now own a 07 Mustang GT. Mustang potential>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>piddley little Cobalts.;p

  • Hint: Someone in the Cobaltss.net forum reached 291 whp with a 2.7" pulley and E85 and the same mods than me. E85 isn't available here so... Hint: Using a richer mixture of methanol... why not 100% if my IAT2s are already good ;)

  • With a meth kit, I would have kept up easily if not more. I can't wait next year I'll have one! :) Now I don't know what will be the outcome against the same guy he's now at more than 20 PSI. Nonetheless, this costs more for us LSJ people to have as much power as the LNF guys but we have a price to pay in order to stay unique! :) My goal is to be the nearest possible 300 whp with the stock Eaton and I'm sure I can achieve it with a meth kit with the right mixture (not 50/50 like so many)

  • Either way it's impressive for the LSJ that its still within a length through 3rd and well into 4th.

  • @Doctors2Advocate

Yep ..... thats a good running LSJ.

Wow...... there are some clueless SS/TC owners .... "cant believe he lost stock " lol .... seriously? Must not have a clue about the SS/SC cause there are a ton of LSJ's out there that will smoke stock and modded SS/TC's. A stock SS/TC ='s a stage II SS/SC , it's a drivers race .

    BTW I own a tuned SS/TC ..... I just hate ignorance .

  • @rukkee22 it depends what stage 2 we're talking about. with the gm stage 2 you're only in the 250 range so the tc will still take it 99.9% of the time

  • @OilersFan2354

I had an 06 SS/SC with GM stage 2 and a few bolt on's and that car was faster than my SS/TC stock . I honestly had buyers remorse after trading in my SS/SC ...... they are so unique with the blower compared to the average turbo car.....I still miss the whine .

It took a superchips tune to wake my car up .... and now a trifecta 24 psi tune.... I went 13.4 @ 106 with just the superchips tune.... havent ran yet with trifecta and downpipe .

  • @OilersFan2354 wrong. a GMS2 ss/sc's superior powerband out pulls stock tc's.

  • @brenticus83 not wrong. gms2 puts you in the low 14s, high 13s depending on the driver. stock ss/tc run high 13s to mid 13s depending on the driver(as low as 13 flat with a proffesional driver). the lnf is underrated. plus with the nls it doesn't loose boost and with launch control it hooks better... the ss/tc IS a faster car

  • @OilersFan2354 stock for stock, yes it is. but i would like to know where you are getting these numbers? what sources are you using? i've driven both, i like both, neither are massively different. driver's race with a slight edge to tc if both are stock.

  • what the hell is kpa?

  • @mustang2005 Boost in Canada... 110 kpa = 16 psi, 140 kpa = 20 psi

  • you all are complete idiots. anyways a tune really opens the tc up! but sc ftw

  • tune opens it big time for only 300$. SC has to ionvest 3000$ to be competitive

  • @huckernage trueee and not truee... ive invested about a grand tops and im very very competitve. 13.5 at 108 isnt the best but its not to shabby

  • the SS/SC have better response and the SS/TC are better at top end

  • Comment removed

  • OMFG! Twin turbo? How many TC's have that set-up? None? At least the ZZP car actually exsists!

  • You TC guys are idiots. The fastest street balt is a twincharged LSJ. It's a ZZP car. Check out. 11.0 1/4 mile. The LSJ is king, for now.

  • hahaha twincharged. everybody knows that. first it a pro shop car. secondo. twin turbo on a LNF will toast that ZZP car. BUt i m a N/A so SC or TC i dont care.

  • lol

I'd like to see a twin turbo LNF...

    bahahahahahahahahha

  • zzp did one and sell a kit

  • No, they don't.

You don't put a twin turbo setup on an inline four, its just not efficient.

ZZP sells a twincharge kit that allows the supercharged cars to add a turbo and hover around the 450hp mark..

  • my body run 11,25 in a turbo cavalier.

  • @STG2BALT yeah and they have an lnf that ran 11.4...... and it is still in the tuning process..... o and did i mention that it traps higher than the lsj?

  • @STG2BALT There's 11 second LNF's on stock turbo, I don't think there's 11 second LSJ's on stock superchargers without nos are there? Go to ZZP's website they list the LSJ's and LNF's fastest times.

With that said, I own a LNF and personally I wish I kept my LSJ, I would have no car payment and going balt to balt was stupid

  • SC are balls slow. A tc alone with a simple down pipe and tune will but out 340 / 350 type numbers. List the mods it would take to get that out of an lsj? You would have to lose the heaton....... then lets take them both to a road course. The sc has shit brakes, shit steering and the sc will heatsoak. LNF is the king, scs are shite

  • they are both good cars. i used to put fucking buses on tuned/bolt-on ss/tc's. and just a downpipe and tune will not make 350whp, they are more in the 320-330whp @25psi. you need turbo back exhaust along with an efficient FMIC to keep heatsoak down(yes ss/tc's do heat soak on stock FMIC). the highest hp stock turbo car is currently 363whp and 392wtq

  • You SS/TC guys and your dyno happy cars. Take your fucking cars to the track is see if these "330" hp dynos actually translate. 330 hp in these cars should be good for low 12s but they are only good for high 12s. The TCs are spiking 330 for split second. Big deal! Fucking roll ricers!!

  • you are jealous

  • Of what? That I have a car that runs mid 13s like I planned? No need for me to be dumping money into an econo-box. One that just about everybody in the world points at and laughs.

  • @STG2BALT jealousy is a killer

  • Maybe 14.6 in the 1/8. And I know I heard the sc. I didn't say it was stock. I have a friend with a ss/sc and he is pretty damn quick. I know how ss/sc and ss/tc's run. I'm not dumb. And safer tune? 22psi is safe. Running a unlimited tune isn't safe (30psi). My buddy has a 27psi tune by trifecta and he hasn't has any problems with his. He has 6k miles since he put it on to. And if the car fucks up, use the warrenty.

  • 14,6 was on quarter mile. now i m at 14,25 94mph. it the customer who decide witch level of boost he wanted. 20psi is just enough.

  • If you have beaten 3 TC's, IF, then put a vid up of it. My ss/tc will walk all over this ss/tc and ss/sc with the stock tune. There is no way you have beaten a ss/tc with a NA ion. Especially with 150hp. My moms prius is faster than that. I'm dynod at 259whp/271wtq bone stock. With the tune, 332whp/364wtq. And that's just tune and side dump 3" exhaust. Your ion won't beat that, neither will the 3tcs you beat and the ss/tc that was in this vid.

  • Hahahahahaha!!! Oh... my.... god...!! You said: "dude. how do you get beat by a sc? even with the stock tune?" OMFG you never raced many SS/SC did you? Or they were ALL STOCK? Man, I'm crying so much I laugh!! Listen... the ss/sc you saw on the video is actually my car. It is really NOT stock at all, I'm more than stage 2. And if you raced enough SS/SC, u would know that stage 2 ss/sc with bolt-ons really keeps well against an SS/SC.

  • just check my 14,6 sec video and you will see a tc on the third sequence.

  • Haha streets different from track man. And tc has alot more top end then sc. You holdin 22?

  • its not my car. i own a saturn ion NA. this ion beat 3 TC. i have just 150hp but 14,24.

on track it way diferent. with your name, i can see you hate cobalt soooooooooo.....

  • dude. how do you get beat by a sc? even with the stock tune? you should be able to beat it easily. my stock tune looks like your other tune. when i cut my trifecta tune on, its even worse. you should beat him no matter what. get it retuned by someone who knows how to do it. and if they do know how to do it, you cant drive worth shit.

  • ahaha you know your business shut up this SC has 280 whp 13,2 at 1/4. it way faster that a stock TC

  • SUPERCHARGED FTMFW

  • I'm more impressed that the SS/SC was able to hang with a tuned TC . And destroy a stock one . That SS/SC has to be close to 280 WHP i would guess, with a M62 thats getting up there. I know the SS/SC's gearing helps some but their power curve is awesome aswell.

My SS/TC is peaky compared to my old SS/SC , which would keep pulling to 7K. After 58-5900 my TC falls off pretty quick , it's almost better to short shift @ 6K .

  • is the gear ratio are the same. you have to admit that 300$ compare to a 2000$ for is SC is good.

  • Actually the SS/SC has a 4.05 final and the SS/TC has a 3.82 final drive . I know all about the money difference , I've had 06 ss/SC and now have a tuned 09 SS/TC. It's amazing what a tune will do for a turbo cobalt.

  • who has tuned yours

  • I have the Superchips tune , I haven't dyno'ed mine but others are seeing 288 Whp and 310 wtq. I have a catless downpipe aswell thats good for a few hp.

  • kewl! that sc is pretty quik and the blower sounds nice

  • what other mods does the sc cobalt have besides a tune? i wouldnt think that a sc cobalt could pull that hard on a tc with only a tune!!

  • That SS/SC is my car. It has a 2.7" pulley with 60 lbs/h injectors, OTTP tune, heat exchanger, dual pass endplate, stu mod (cooling mod), CTI race header, 3" CTI downpipe. I'm waiting for my catback, actually mine is stock. I'm gonna gain even more with it! The reason why I may looks like more powerfull than many other SS/SCs is probably because of all my 3 cooling mods. The supercharger is almost not heatsoaking at all, my IAT2s stay cool at 120-125F, 130F during hotter days after long pulls.

  • So many SS/SC cars don't have enough cooling mods or they think that cooling mods are useless. So many choose to go with a 2.8" pulley directly without cooling mods. But I can tell you, do your cooling mods before doing anything else. Heat is the worst enemey of a supercharged car. That is easy on a 2.7 or 2.8" pulley to get 160F of intake manifold temperature. After around 145-148F, our ECU remove timing and you directly loose hp.

  • I thing you get all infos on need. FEU DE MOUTACHE is quick to reply my vids when he is involed in. lol

  • cool
