Just started using qt creator to make apps for phone. Some classes lack compared to the std lib counterparts(string::substr()), you can't find examples for many functions(ex. sorting vector), the debugger wouldn't start the process(Process could not be started, Side-by-side configuration incorrect), had to add win debug tools, had to rebuild sth, it failed because it couldn't load windows.h and i couldn't figure out where to set its directory(have win sdk in unusual path). Dunno what to think.
How much time are you looking to invest into this? Qt is not intended for non-programmers, but you could pick up some basics along the way.
First thing would be to make sure it is possible at all. I assume you want the sounds to be played into the call stream, not into the speaker? If so, you better figure out whether your smartphone provides an device driver for that. Whether applications can be invoked during a phonecall. Whether any similar applications exist already.
Can't believe all the whinging on here - it's a great little IDE. Snappy, easy to use and functional - well done Nokia.
I'd love to see Nokia buy up Riverbank, bring PyQt into the fold as a first class member of the Qt and S60 LGPL suite, and enhance Qt Creator to function as a PyQt IDE too.
That would be my cross platform toolset of choice for desktops and devices for the next 10 years.
For intermediate user, it is easier to create such form without Designer, programming by hand. However, when form contains many objects, Designer helps greatly. I am currently working at some projects using this IDE. Go Opensource and cross-platform! (Two reasons why I dislike C#)
Nice Nice Video. I really loved your video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed, check out this site called tubeviews [dot net] It has really done wonders for me, I have built 3 Channels up with videos at top in position and this is my forth channel i'm going to working on.

How do we integrate unit tests using QTestLib? I can't find a tutorial or article. I can't even create a folder/dir for the tests ugh!

I think you should "chain" the videos all toegether putting one as a reply to the previous. Interesting stuff though.
