  • That is an amazing collection! But how do you cook with a kitchen full of recorders? :)

    Seriously though, Sweet Machines!

  • Easy, make the house bigger! since this video was made, I have had 2 house extensions and now I am looking for buy a second house.

  • I have a Dolby 361 pair and a 363 unit though I dont use them, the machines I listen to dont need them.

  • Which is your favourite deck?

  • Hmmm, thats a difficult one, don't think I have a favourite one as such, the ones I like most are the EMI's and Leevers Rich monster machines.

  • Great Collection !

  • Hi I have a telefunken magnetophon m5 too. I see this mashine in this video but my mashine don't turn play and record. Do you have scheme to this mashine??.

  • Hello, sorry but I dont have the diagram for the M5 however I have found the capstan does lock up on it, open the recorder and turn the flywheel by hand, free it up a little then try again running the recorder in it's slowest speed first (Little like first gear in a car) give it a try and see what happens.

  • hey i would buy the telfunken!

  • i simply love your tape recorders!good job!

  • Cheers!

  • I have like... 35 machines. But this is incredible.

Must be hard living there, but it's sure a lot of fun :D

  • I had up to 400 at one time but I think I am down to about 100 now, there are a few more on the way but with the house being so small, I need to sell some more.

  • damn what a collection. it looks like a 1970's hifi store.

  • Cheers!

  • Nice collection. What I liked the most were the Type C VTR's.

  • I loved the BVH-2000 recorders but sadly the heads were short lived, I have a friend who wants to off load 4 onto me but I just don't have the space for them.

  • You are VERY fortunate to own SO MANY, COOOL recorders!!! Really! WHERE DO YOU GET ALL THOSE????????? WOWOW! SOO MANY! And all those pro portables! WHEW! WOW! You are very fortunate!

  • Cheers, cash helps too though, I have been collecting for over 17 years now.

  • 17 years now makes since. I been collecting since 2004-2005 area.

  • I have a reVox collection of abot 20 mascines and i thought that i was fool but now i think not to be alone!!!Congratulations for your collection!Kind regards.Michele.

  • Cheers! love collecting these recorders but I have had to cut down.

  • Is that a Beocord 2000 I spotted in the background - or is it it's predecessor the Stereomaster?

  • At 1:56 yes, there is a Beocord 2000 next to the Ferrograph Logic seven.

  • Do I see 2 Ampex C format video recorders?

  • Type C yes but these are Sony BVH-2000 machines, I did have a BVH-500 as well (Portable)

  • this is SOME??? I don't have that many REELS of tape that I see.....NICE!

  • Tapes? god knows how many I have of those, there are several boxes in my lockup, another load in the loft and loads around the house, I do admit though I have cut right back, having up to 6 of the same machine was too much.

  • Here's a question-what do you record your reels from? PC? Somehow get the master tapes, really clean vinyl...what do you use?

  • A mix, PC, CD, DAT, DCC, Mic (Vocal and guitar), keyboard, another reel to reel, vinyl, cassettes, even the nicam VHS machine, for a try I have also recorded from U-matic, 1" type-C video recorders and oscillators. The only way you can tell what really sounds better in my book is a live recording with a good mic, CD -> R2R you are going to lose something but Mic to one of the big machines, it wins over digital in my personal opinion

  • whats in the oven ?

  • Sorry to disappoint but no tape recorders :-P

  • Absolutely awesome you have certainly got the reel to reel bug I am surprised you have any room left in the house.

Keep the vids coming there excellent. The Revox F36 video you posted what's the track that's been recorded ?

  • Cheers! the track used on the ReVox is from the Lemon Jelly album, I dont know the correct spelling but it's called king rah.

    More vids to come :-)
