All these people think this song is about a girl screwing a guy over. I dont see that at all. I see it as a man feels like he can't give her what she needs. He is warning her not to fall in love with him cause he is a wondering man and can't be tied down. Its a beautiful song.
The worst part..I am going through this as I am typing this. I don't know what to do.....can't walk way....can't stay....hurt like never ever been before...defeated like looser...crying with no tears, I can't even feel I am breathing....disappointed...lonely even when she is beside me in bed....I can only stay watching her like a dream dying just before the dawn..

@RussellG1992 You're definitely right, i don't see this as a girl screwing things over for the guy at all. I think its definitely about the guy leaving for both their own goods. (you can tell because of the last 15 lines or so, that he says that "all of her seekings done...blah blah, that i was better as a memory..etc" ) Although this is my opinion and my own perspective, this is opinionated because its all about how you interpret the song with your life, could go 50/50
