Remember that just because the supra is putting down more rwhp, the EVO has to get its power to all 4 wheels making the awhp less. I'm not a mathematician or engineer but the EVO might have more HP at the crank

@mannbeastt101 All cars make more crank hp than to the wheels, the power loss varies between cars. Autos and cars with 4wd tend to take a greater power loss than those with manuals.

This was definitely a tough race for a supra on those types of tires at that power level.

Supra in general is usually a slower car off the start. Built for that endurance not so much that 0-60 time.

I'd take the evo if it was gutted, skid plate and all the other goodies you can find on a Rally Car, lol. Wouldn't be street legal then.

the supra is automatic, of course that shits not gonna win. the evo just downshifts and gets in his power band and is gone everytime. Dont get me wrong, im sure this supra would def win on the stretch. There are some fast auto cars out there and can be better for drag, but not this set up in this type of race.

2wd car will never get jump on 4wd from a stop. Those Evos, I hear when gutted they can get down to 2600lbs. 4wd and light weight = fast. Supras are just too heavy. strong motor but heavy. Traction issues probably due to uneven weight distribution.  Still would rather have the Supra. U dont see too many around. Older car that looks like it just came out of the dealership.

thats a very untrue statement. I own a mustang so i'll use those as an examble. with the right tire/suspension combo you can get 1.4 60's. I've never seen an evo/sti get that low. a PROPERLY set up rwd combo will outlaunch pretty much anything. however it just takes a bit of money and some know how to do it.

Seemed like shitty tired on the Supra... Supras aren't really "heavy" anymore when you compare it to other cars such as the GT-R, etc. It's just not light. Weight distribution for the Supra stock is 53% front, 47% rear.. Really shitty? Right?
