Technically, he did create it. If it wasn't for him drifting there would have never been a series of it. The only drifting we would only be exposed to would have been rally. So, he played a role in the creation of the drift in the anime.

People who race on the street and have an outstanding pedigree will no doubt keep it a secret. To fool opponents, to keep them and their vehicles safe from the law, and last but not least (which is why a majority of the most recent racers have arisen) for money. Of course money isn't everything when it comes to racing, but you get some out of doing something you truly love... it's pretty awesome!

hahaha, In BC we went sliding every day on the way to school, at school and after school in the winter. Then years later were out of school and realize with a powerful car (not a $900 truck with bald tires) you can essentually slide just as easy on pavement as snow you just need to go fast enough for the pavement to feel like snow and you can drive arround town like that (no e-brake just clutch kick or hard weight transfer.)
