Well my boyfriend went to this show and played this song over the phone for me while he was recording it with the zoom h2 and unfort.. he didnt get it recorded so thanks for posting this video by the way nice groove right in the pocket
He told me "Billie Jean" was the hardest track he ever recorded, because Quincy made him play with the metronome, like a drum machine, and if you listen to the track he had to play perfectly straight without speed or slow,
Quincy worked him like a town mule
At least thats what he said, and he also said, " Keep your chops tight , because someone is always waiting to replace you in the recording session
jeff is on beat it, him and lukather did most of that track, hes also on the slower stuff like the girl is mine and human nature... etc. jeff was the king of the groove and everyone wanted him on the slower stuff cus hes amazing at holding things back timewise. thick. im glad people dork out on credits like i do! maybe someday there will be college classes where you can learn about who was on what :)

This comment has received too many negative votes show
actually, the drummer for billy jean was John j.r. robinson. he recorded most if not all the drum tracks for the off the wall record.

actually, i don't think that's correct. John Robinson did most of Michael Jackson's stuff, but Ndugu recorded Billie Jean. Check the track credits.

I worked with N'dugu many times,
on the old General Caine stuff,
