  • @jillatay Thank-you, Jill, yes common sense is something few people bring to religion; however, I have found common sense is precisely what we need to lead a contemplative life

  • I love you use the same language I do (I think I commented that before). you can only find discernment with the greeks as diakrisis (the early monks' top virtue), or with the yogis as the word viveka.

  • @aglorincz Yes, discrimination is a key component to every contemplative tradition. viveka and diakrisis are just some of those terms.
