I love you use the same language I do (I think I commented that before). you can only find discernment with the greeks as diakrisis (the early monks' top virtue), or with the yogis as the word viveka.

@aglorincz Yes, discrimination is a key component to every contemplative tradition. viveka and diakrisis are just some of those terms.
