  • great cover! where did you get the tabs.. i get some tabs but i want yours! if you dont mind! thanks!! man :)

  • @heybulldog98 I meant the tennesean Rose

  • The g5120 and the g5122 are Harrison like models I have the g5120 which is like the tenneaseab

  • I recently purchased a Gretsch G5122 DC. I am in my 60's. This is by far the best electric guitar I have ever owned! I love everything about it!

  • where is this guitar made?

  • Which guitar is better? G5122 or G5120

  • @WeslieJJ94 I am not 100% sure but I think that the only difference is that the 22 has duble cutaway and the 20 has single cutaway wich is the shape of the guitar at it's neck.

    Hope it helped!

  • I' ve got the G6122DC :) (good song too)

  • is that harrison guitar in the beatles

  • @aryowailangitoyo97 Almost. George had a Gretsch G6122 and this is the G5122. The G6122 is more than twice the price but also a little bit more efort put on it when they made it.

  • I want that Gretsch! Amazing sound !!!

  • where did you get the tab for this?

  • That was really good

  • I'm in love with your guitar! I'm seriously thinking about getting one now.

  • is like most covers here is for George, play some Johns parts, Pauls bass parts.

  • Put a video teaching to playing it, always I have wanted to learn george's part and have not could :S

  • One thing I like about Gretsch Guitars is that they have thin frets. Love to have these thin frets on 58' Les Paul Standard. Would have the feel of fretlessness.

  • very good cover i love the gretsch and i have a rickenbacker 325 (john lennon)

  • Well Played..

  • I wish i could play this, good job man! do you have a cover of Octopus' garden?

  • tabs please man

  • this is not the real tabs/chords. is a invented cover

  • TABS???? where did u find em??

  • WHERE can I find tabs for the Lead part???

  • how do you get that ryhthem sound out of your strat? what settings?

  • im pretty sure thats not a strat

  • i know thats not a strat, read the description

  • @TheThebeatles1994 , i can get close tones with pickup changer switch set so that the neck and middle pickups are playing. through marshal amp with slight reverb and distortion

  • oh my bad haha

  • excellent :) a reli nice job of this brilliant song. one question tho, im thinkin of gettin the Gretsch G5122DC like yours, but cant decide between it and an Epiphone Casino, what do u reckon?

  • Fantastic job. On behalf of all the guitarist out there, I want to thank you so much.

  • I would like you to do a cover of I Saw Her Standing There, I hope and would always see good comments

  • guitar gretsch?

  • @gretsch1971 Yeah, a Gretsch G5122DC

  • beatiful guitar.

  • Some of the single notes are questionable...but kudos to you for learning this. Few realize how much overdubbing of guitar the Beatles did, even with just 2 and 4 track equipment. I'm still trying to figure out how Lennon got that 'quacky' sound when he hit the B7 chord. He must have been beating the crap out of the strings...

  • Fab! :) 5/5 x

  • You nailed it again and this time I like the personal touches you put in. You're just too damn good. You have a bright future ahead of you as a musician....if you're not already playing professionally. You look young (I wish I were your age again, trust me) but have great talent and a great "feel" for those songs that you can't learn from someone else. You put your heart and soul into them and truly make them your own. Keep it up...can't get enough of your stuff!!!!

  • you rock you should be a musition on day!

  • Haha thanks very much.

  • awesome cover. i wish i had half of your guitar skills

  • Thanks. It comes with practice, trust.

  • How would you describe this guitar ? Im thinking of buying one myself ?? :)

  • Easy to play. Sometimes difficult to keep in tune. Light. Sounds great.

  • PLZ plz make a lesson on this!!!

i am desperate to learn this song!!!

    lol

  • Which would be more helpful, Rhythm lesson or Lead lesson? Or both of course.

  • for me, it would be better if you make lead lesson

  • When are you ganna make the lesson?

  • When I have time. A levels have practically all my time at the moment. You'll notice I haven't posted a vid since feb... For the same reason :-\

  • Hey man, i think you nailed it :)

Very nice sounding Gretsch, can't believe it's the cheaper model, did you upgrade it or is it stock?

  • it's stock. It's such a great guitar, doesn't need any upgrades!

  • plzplz plz do a lesson

  • Awesome!

  • You know what? I see so many who make negative comments about playing a simple song as this and its rediculous. Im not a great guitar player, playing nearly 20 years and only open chords not really learning to bar. But my point is that every cover of this song is played differently from which fret to bar to this string or that string and they all sound okay.

  • that's a very good cover man! you made the song your own but still in a beatley way! nice!

  • your song is like a gift from God, you're awesome and your gretsch is precious!

  • Solala... many fail But it´s good man! 4/5

  • Ooohhh that... You're absolutely right. I'm playing

    g - 2

    d - 2

    instead of

    g - 0

    d - 2

    You have my profuse apologies.

  • but it doesn't sound too bad... I don't feel it warrents a re-record :-\

  • oooope, you're playing an A there. You're looking for

    e-2

    b-3

    g-2

    d-0

    a-x

    e-x

  • In the intro.. you aren't playing a D. I don't know what chord you think it is. But it is not a D. Your backing track is right, but whatever you're playing in the video for that part, you're wrong. It doesn't even sound right.

  • I've removed the comments posted here. I felt they weren't constructive in any way at all ever. ESPECIALLY seeing as the individual in question had posted none of his own material to speak of.

  • nice Gretsch you got there

Chet Atkins Country Gentleman if i'm not mistaken

George played them a hell of a lot

  • Thanks. I'm afraid it's not a country gent although I'd love it if it were. It's a newer model, a G5122 double cutaway. One of the reasons I bought it is because it resembles the Country Gent so closely.

  • oh really?

    nevertheless it's a beautiful guitar

  • It is, glad you think so.

  • Sick guitar, man! i totally liked it!

    cheers! good work, mate!

  • Thank you very much. I'm really please you liked it.

  • wrong chords in the beginning and and the chorus. check mine out.

  • With respect, I can assure you that here I've used the right chords. Both of the chords that you say are wrong are C and D. They're most definitely C and D in the intro and chorus.

My references to this being the track itself, the complete Beatles scores and the official chord songbook. Plus it sounds right.

  • are the f holes cut in or are they painted on like the country gent?

  • They're cut in.

  • hey..I was wondering..does that guitar work fine with distortion?

  • Yeah it does. I prefer to use a telecaster for distortion over this though.

  • nice guitar

  • ah man, thats just a badass cover. fantastic!!

  • why won't you show your face in the videos or the pictures? are you camera shy? because if you are than it is OK!!

  • Haha! I do show my face in a couple of videos (I feel fine and the shadows cover I did...). I just think it's a bit better to see what my hands are doing, rather than seeing what my face is doing :-)

  • I would like to see you make a ''from me to you'' cover

  • So would I actually. I'll have a go at that in the summer.

  • yeah but i think you play great

  • which chords do you do in 12 sec?

  • I play G three times then D (all barred) then do the bend.

is that what you wanted to know or...?

  • Cool. This is such a Great song.

  • sick. check out my vids man

  • dude what software do you use for background music or you made it your self

    thx

  • I'm using a program called drumsite. I imported a guitar pro MIDI file in as the drums and bass to that program and saved it as a wav. I played over it.

  • is it free or i have to pay anhthing?

  • You can get a free demo. Look it up on google. If you try hard enough I'm sure you could get it free.

  • one last question after that im not gonna disturb you

is that software hard to use ???

  • Hmm, I don't really "use" it per sey. I just import MIDI files in and save it as a wav, and that's all easy. I do all of my editing in guitar pro.

  • DUDE I NEED YOUR HELP ASAP

i have the exact same guitar

    1. what strings do u use?

    2. do they have a special gauge? for the bisgby?

    3. are they speciall strings? i need to change mine so if you could reply ASAP that would be great thanks dude!

  • I'm glad you've got the same guitar, it's excellent.

    1. Elixir Nanoweb strings .10 guage

    2. They're standard .10-.46 strings. Nothing special for the bigsby. Same strings I use on my strat and telecaster.

    3. Again, nothing special. They have some kind of coating on them so they stay sounding better and last longer.

  • tabs please

  • Sorry, I don't have any tabs. I can say that the rhythm is a pretty standard "shuffle" around G D Em then B7 for the verses. For the chorus play barred C, D, G then open Em then C,D and back to the verse chords. The middle is Dm, G, C, Am twice. Hope that helps a little bit. Can't really advise on the lead.

  • dude you took the scratch plate off! you should keep it on!

  • Really good job.Keep them great Beatle tunes alive!!!

  • Excellent my friend.

  • i am big fan and your cover is very good
