Sweetest movie. Ever. The story of a young cello player who must sell his cello and move back to his childhood home when the owner has to disband the orchestra. He finds a job with a coffinator, one who prepares bodies for the coffin. He is met with opposition, but he loves the beautiful ritual--with tender ministrations to the body, w/ the family in attendance. Many basic tenets of Japanese culture are shown. Movie is humorus-tender-sad w/ Joe Hisaishi's glorious music providing foundation.
