For the benefit of muggles, I offer the following explanation: Using my digital camera, I shot a fireball against a black backdrop, then shot a 'clean plate' of myself and the candlestick without the flame effect. I then combined the two shots using Adobe AfterEffects.
However, if you happen to be a wizard, then you know this explanation is a gigantic load of hogwash. A simple 'Inflamare' or 'Incendio' will do the trick.
(Note: This spell should not be performed without adult supervision!)
