I used "blu Job" on my aftermarket V&H pipes it the product did absolutely very little to get rid of the blueing. In my opinion waste of money and time...
One feels the name to be slightly pornographic in nature as the name in question sounds like BL** Job .
This may be down to the american accent used and as one is English it is indeed funny.
One will go forth and seek out this Pipe embellisher hence forth and ones trusty steed will once more shine like the knight upon its structure.(PS can i have my Tea back) LOL.
Part 1 ....Another easy and safe way to remove a burnt plastic bag, tar, old stickers, pretty much anything that isn't cut or gouged into the surface of pipes or any other items. It's called, "Goof Off," & it's basically designed to remove any oil based or latex paint, even certain poxy paint and fillers from most any surface, even if its already been dried for years. However, unlike the Easy Off method, which is a good idea, you want to approach it a tad different. Continued...above as Part 2
Part 2 .... Buy Goof Off at walmart, HD, etc ..it's in a yellow can. IMPORTANT: You do not clean your pipes with GO while they are still hot. W/the pipes cool, apply the GO to a clean cloth & try it in a hidden area first, to test it on the finish. The GO will melt/breakdown the bag & you may have to flip the cloth & apply more GO until all of it is gone, then clean w/ windex to get the GO residue off. I actually had a walmart bag blow up & melt to my pipes & this is how I cleaned them off.
Thx to the guy who presented the Easy Off idea. I can clearly see how it would be a good choice for that application cause it activates and accelerates the cleaning properties in EF. It would probably work fairly well in detailing certain bikes. Definitely with the cooling fins. And best of all you wouldn't have to worry about cleaners like the purple stuff eating into the softer metals, like aluminum/cast. It would also require less pressure washing time and less PW force, means less painting.
its all down to air fuel mixture. Had a full staintune exhuast thought it was normal but the mixture is to lean. So way to hot, Its a simply carby setting but does require someone with knowlege to adjust and tune.
Im not getting paid to say this. My pipes were yellow and blue. I was going to pay for new pipes(700+down the drain) Til i say this video. My pipes are chromed out again, no lie. It takes a little elbow rubbing but im happy with the results. 10 in my book a must have, no question
I'm a pro bike detailer. Swear by bluejob. This rich dude from Sta Monica comes in my shop with his totally rusted all chrome chopper covered 3 years at the beach. It took me 6 hours to cherry it out, I called him a week later, told him it took a lot of work, charged the dentist 4 grand! he was happy. I threw in a free can of bluejob. aint I nice?
This stuff really works, but you have to rub hard. I like to use an orbital finishing sander rather than by hand, really a lot faster.
