I have always wondered about the 'latina' quality of this song by a Swedish group, and recently I read in a Che biography that one of Ernesto Guevara's many nicknames was Fernando.
The river (Rio Grand) has, since 1848, marked the boundary between Mexico and the United States from the twin cities of El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, to the Gulf of Mexico. As such, it was across this river that Texan slaves fled when seeking their freedom, aided by Mexico's liberal colonization policies and abolitionist stance.
Simply the sound of this song, a little bit "latinoamerican" and my love for abba, gael and che... I don't think that videos about this film must have only the original music... it's art everything is allowed!
Could you tell me, what's name the song from your other video? (Gael Garcia Bernal "My dream". It's really nice song. Thank's for posting this:) I'm from Poland and I really like Gael <3
Sorry but I don't understand spanish very well... what does "pinta" mean? I lile this Abba's song but I understand that a southamerican music could be better!
pensé que la canción sería del soundtrack de diarios de motocicleta, difinitivamente no le viene, no me gusta, no tiene nada que ver una cosa con la otra
I totally respect your opinion, but I chose this song because I first heard it in a panpipes collection, only music and it had a southamerican sound and second because it's a song about two old comrades from some guerrilla war in Mexico sitting in the porch and reminiscing about what happened to them back then and this is what it is all about... In any case I love also the OST and maybe I'll make another video with that.

This song talks about this:
The river (Rio Grand) has, since 1848, marked the boundary between Mexico and the United States from the twin cities of El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, to the Gulf of Mexico. As such, it was across this river that Texan slaves fled when seeking their freedom, aided by Mexico's liberal colonization policies and abolitionist stance.

I don't think so. I think it is about Che Guevara. In any case, it is a strange song from a Swedish group.

So where is the connection between Abba and Gael or Che? Maybe because Fernando is a latino name? So what?
