Seaside in Oregon has a long sweet beach like this, also a bit north at Del Ray, and not many people most of the time. The catch is the water is cold. But the climate out side the water can be 70 degrees F even in the winter. Summer time is mild too. At low tide the sand just goes on and on out into the water, and its so clean and fresh. If you want to surf wear a wet suit.

Unlike our normal Waves DVDs, which have shots that average 2-3 mins each, with "Caribbean Beaches with 6 loopable scenes", we shot six 10 minute long shots that can be looped all day. It's hard just to shoot 2 minutes without planes, boats, cars, people, etc disturbing the shot - 10 minutes was truly a challenge. Enjoy.

Where can I go on my honeymoon for a nice ocean/beach without having to have millions of people near by?

@foch41 - Empty beaches are very hard to find... and tend to be far from the big hotels. However, the best hotels tend to have the best beaches followed by public parks, etc.

My picks for nearly empty beaches is Caneel Bay on St. John in the US Virgin Islands. They have 6 beaches for a few hundred guests.. Also, the cays in the outer islands of the Bahamas... like Turtle Cay, and Treasure cay have long beaches with few people.

@foch41 i know a place were you can find lot's of desert beachs AÇORES!!! I live there, it's 9 island in the midle of atlantic ocean. search on google for some more information. I live in the island S. Miguel. If you want more information i can send you photos or help you in something. Greats

@foch41 HAWAII! In Maui, Makena Alanui Road, South Maui in Makena. It's further out than Kihei.  There are hotels near there as well.

@ygoofyg - this is Turtle Cay off Abaco on the outer islands of the Bahamas. You take a water taxi out, rent a golf cart, drive over the hill, park and walk on your own empty beach!

I've shot Panama Beach away from the high rises on my Florida DVD. Search for my Beaches Ocean Waves #42. I looked at St. Augustine but the brownish red sand didn't make the cut.
