@soundwavefreak6659 The Air Force actually doesn't have it's own school of music. Musicians report directly to the band upon completion of boot camp, just like the musicians that get accepted to the DC or Academy bands for all branches (except Marines, musicians accepted into the President's Own don't have to go to boot camp). This is part of the reason their entrance standards are higher than the other branches.
I really would like to join the army band. Is it difficult to pass through the auditions? I'm not that good in sight reading. Please reply. Oh, BTW i play the clarinet
Please forgive me...The United States of America's Armed Forces have no business playing this song...I am an extremely patriotic U.S. citizen, and I love "Three Dog Night"....I can't clearly explain, but it's like...smoking weed with your grandmother!!!
I got there in June of that year as a D&B student. I dont recognize the cats on trumpet at all. I think one of my sight singing instructors is playing alto sax (Navy). Sgt. Hayes (Marine Corps) was my initial instructor for D&B.
I graduated with honors from the AFSOM. That was a great training school. I have often wondered what happened to Sgt Andy Chahoski. He was the piano teacher when I was a student there. He supported me when others wanted to fail me. I have since gone on to a distinguished career as a church musician and public school music teacher.
