Kind of sounds repetitive but I grew up with a Chow Chow as well, and his name was Keiko. That dog was the most amazing dog I had, he loved to play with me and although he ate the remotes and my barbies, he was the best to have lay on your feet and keep them warm in the winter.
We had to put him to sleep in 2007 (After I graduated high school) but we had him for close to 13 years, so that would put it at 1995. Watching these videos makes me smile but also makes me sad because I miss him.
@DizzyDarlin29 I know what you mean about missing him. I miss Boo everyday---and it's been a little more than 2 years now since he passed away. Geez, i miss him bad.
OMG my dog's name was Boo-Boo and she was part Chow and Akita mix but she past away when I was like 13 years ago and she was 14 years old when she pass away :(
She had cancer...But very cute chow you got there :D
@Armedrainbow My Boo Boo (or just Boo for short) was a rescue. I think he was full chow, but he may have been part something else. He passed away in December. I'm NOT sure how old Boo was, but it was estimiated by the vet that he was betweeen 16 and 18 years old. He was such a sweet boy--my best friend. ehh my roomates have a chow and can I just say... shes pretty but thats about it!!! she is bad!!! and she is basically obsessed with chewing on everything and trying to kill the world!!! however, shes soft and she really can be very affectionate.
@sn2727 Your roommates chow sounds different than Boo was. Boo never chewed. He never begged for food. He rarely barked--unless someone was at the door. He was very affectionate, very intuitive, very loyal and loved his walks.
