  • nice video, i just found a good teacher to my canary. thanks.

  • MPRABOOOOOOOOO

  • if a female canary is singing rather than chirping then it is not a female - rather a male. Canaries will cease singing from the begining of their moult 2nd week of Jan in the southern hemisphere and start again after the winter equinox (21 June) If your canary is not singing and seems to be constantly in moult - make sure he is getting a normal natural light cycle NO artificial light. Also remove all plastic containers - they leach into food and cause production of female hormones in males.

  • @TheCosmos1980 My canary is definitly female and she sings just like Sid.

I've got the same problem as @aguilonmontenegro.. I found a lost canary at my door, so I brought him home.. I new he was male because of the singing.. He used to sing like this..Since June I haven't heard a single noice.. I went to a shop and bought him some special food and some stuff to add to the water, been reading about cares to have and so.. Got a cat at home and birds are just not my style.. However I'm keeping him.. Btw.. Don't know his age.. :\

  • very funny. i tried to made my kanari male nobert start to sing. what happend nobert looks scared and my kanari female start to sing.....

  • ?WOW!Are you sure you female is female?By saying your female sings you mean tweeting?Maybe it needs mating, and your male is very young. But it is good to hear mine or others because it becomes ready for mating. :)

  • @sidcanary i had a male canary once and i bought a female one for mating and for him to have some company. What happened was that my male never sing again :(

  • @sidcanary Oh yes it's possible :-) Our bird was mistaken for a male at birth and grew up together with the male canaries, so she also sings :-) We found out that she was a she when she started laying (empty) eggs one time.. (it was april 1st so everybody thought it was a practical joke) Than we had to change 'Philip' to 'Pippa' :-)

  • my little 'Inch' our canary who used to sing all the time .for some reason this healthy bird stopped for 2 years then again he started singing heavily at the age of 9!!! he can still keep up with the best. dont know how to post a video but i would if i could he is fantastic.

  • SO ur from greece.Mine is 2yrs old and 6 months. How old is urs?Does is still sing like this today?

  • @sidcanary ,haha 2 yrs and 6mos..no canary ever lived 21yrs..anyways,he's experiencing a soft moult.I tried correcting d lighting timers but still:-(..I remember mine singing as vigor as urs.He just lost it.Plannin' to give him out.

  • sounds just like on of my own canaries, Freddie :) same loud singing that makes your ears hurt.

  • Sono esemplari Bellissimi e degni di nota...

  • wow that thing is bloody insane!! what a great song.

My red factor sings but very softly, he also hates other birds male or female. He is really agro.

I have a white varigated that hurts my ears he is so loud and a green that sings from 530am till 1030pm, in Australia its bloody dark then, he has issues with his singing, ill post him on here shortly.

  • nice:))

  • I've been enjoying Sid every morning for weeks now. He's the best singer on Youtube. I hope my new male will follow suite once fall begins here in Texas. Sid makes my day.

  • WOW!Really lot of thanks!Happy to make you happy!

  • Hello!

I bought a red factor canary (male) about a week ago. All he manages to do is make a chipmonk like noise. He never quite sings. Any tips?

  • He might be really young. Try putting him in a cage where he can hear other male canaries sing - even if it is only on YouTube or a CD. Also male canaries don't sing all year around - in the Southern Hemisphere they only sing in the Breeding season from August to January. Hope this helps

    cheers

  • Stella covered me :)

exactly! And also try to get him used to the place and background. And be sure it's a male

  • 2 thumbs up

  • mirror are not for canary.

  • Beautiful singer. Hope he has some toys and a mirror somewhere.

  • Awesome...what did you do to make your canary sing like this,

I had one a couple of years ago and now i'm thingking to have one just like this canaru

  • Lot of contact(with me) and sounds for hours arround him.And everyday feeding!

  • BEAUTIFUL.............

  • Hi it may be young..or new bought?

Or if you have a female with it it will stop, like mine now....:( trying to recall it....

  • wait a sec, u mean if a male and a female canary are together they will stop singing cuz im getting a female canary for my male canary

  • @minivaly123

    that is correct.

  • @Kihustle but why?

  • @minivaly123

    search it up :)

I'm guessing, when they have kids or stay together, they will love eachother so much that , they wont even sing, they probably would think they are mature.

and are mature enough to have kids ?

    lol.

  • Hallo Sid...you're beautiful and you are a really singer too...compliments!

  • Thank you!!!

  • my red factor males are singin their hearts out to this

  • I was think about getting a canary but now seeing how noisey it is I dont think I want one ?

  • hehehe if you buy one and buy a female also it won't sing like this...tested :)but double trouble!

  • Thank you for posting this! I've been trying to find a looped canary song for ages! My canary is singing with yours. :)
