  • Have u built/used those speakers?!

  • I real wish I could build them but all I have are the speakers. I bought these at a flea market and the cabinets where not there, darn.

  • Very interesting. Thanks for this video. Do you know who owns the Heathkit trademark these days?

  • The latest owner I can find is DESA International. Thanks.

  • Rick,

I'm a big fan of Heathkits as evidenced by my sig. gen. and tracer. When younger, I remember a couple of friends building Heathkit color TVs. It was quite a chore, but when done the sets played well. My current quest is to find a good Heathkit VTVM. Almost had one last week, but got outbid. It would be great to find one unbuilt, but chances are slim to none.

Thanks for showing the speakers. Very cool indeed.

You're a man of many surprises.

    Regards,

    John

  • Hey John,

What can I say, I get bored. I hope you find a Heath Kit VTVM that would be cool. I was amazed at finding anything of HK that was not built already. Even if just a partial kit like these speakers. I think I did get the best part though. It would be interesting to know how this partial kit came to be.

    Regards,

    Rick

  • Me too!!!! i have a transister radio

  • Great vid... A friend of mine built a Heath Kit oscilloscope when I was in high school. It took weeks and when we plugged it in we were amazed that it actually worked! I bet those speakers would sound great. They just don't make like that anymore.

  • Thanks. I built a Heath Kit Scope also, point to point wiring, tube type. I was also amazed that it worked the first time. Thanks again!

  • Very nice presentation.

    Thanks! ~Cindy! :)

    ..

  • Thanks

  • They don't make kits like that anymore.

  • No, and it is a real shame too.

  • Nice score!

I sure those speakesr would have great sound if it was built into a cabinet and hooked to a tube amp.

I some of my gear has CTS components in them. The EIA code for CTS is 137 then the date code.

  • Thanks. I have not seen an un-built Heath Kit of any kind for years. It's too bad that the cabinets were missing, but that's probably why they are still in the box. I was surprised that both boxes are complete and they have the same serial number. Thanks for the data code information.

  • HOT DAWG ! I have some CTS speakers.
