Was watching this for comparison reasons as i'm a big fan of the original 'Steptoe and Son' so was interested to see what the american adaptation was like, but this particular episode is a direct adaptation of one of the originals which is called 'Robbery with violence' look it up. I probably do have a biased opinion being from the UK and do prefer the original, but would be interesting to hear what some of you think.

@barson113 I only saw one or two episodes of Steptoe, and don't remember much, but Redd Foxx is just absolutely funny and a natural comedian, making it about the funniest show I like, along with Three's Company ...of course, both are based on British shows! Once I saw all episodes of Are You Being Served, last year, I realized how excellent many English shows are.
