That is a harmonic. Basically touch the strig lightly on the 5th fret then pick and lift your finger simultaneously

i've been playing since september and started practicing this in late april, for like, half an hour a day. if i can get the solo, anyone can get it :P doesn't even take much practice, the hardest part for me is probably going from the palm mute bars to the screaming part in the song, but i'll get that eventually too. thanks for the vid, should definately make more like this one ^^

Sorry dude but when you pay the triplets at the start of the solo (part 6) u play it wrong. And then when u show the slow down with the tabs u play it right. When u play it fast ur missing notes. Not sure if u realise ur doing this but watch over and see wat i mean :) On a good note, the quality of the video and the additional tabs are good!

@letsjamify lol,yes. The 1st string of the guitar is tuned to the normal d scale,which makes the standard tuning EADGBE(6-5-4-3-2-1 strings respectively) each two steps lower to CGFAD tuning. Which is what you'd call a dropped c tuning. I have a weird way of saying it..
