I saw Fantomas playing the whole of The Director's Cut there in December 2008, and it was easily the best gig I've ever been to. It wasn't just seeing Patton, or seeing a great album, but the venue itself was brilliant. And they've gone and demolished it for a railway that no one needs. Typical.

@SecretAgent068 I was at this gig and it was absolutely mindblowing! Went to see them the next day in Nottingham! I've got the full concert on video too which was great to watch. I also have a video of their set at a festival in Germany on their 'California' tour, and this is pro shot, although the sound mix is not great. There are usually some DVDs knocking around on ebay. I absolutely agree with you: Mr Bungle are the best band ever! Nobody even comes close!

Just in case you haven't heard of Estradasphere or Secret Chiefs 3; they both have DVD's out that are really well done and definitely worth owning. Those are the two main bands I can think of that can be mentioned in the same sentence as Bungle.

I cannot begin to explain the genius behind Secret Chiefs. One song has a Persian sound, the next Mediterranean, then a metal song. It's amazing.
