  • Genius

  • 2:42 - Seven second moshpit!

  • This live set-up gives me orgasms.

  • I saw them at a small club with a ground level stage. Great show.

  • i was there.....

  • @AHAMPSHIRELAD Me too, they were selling t shirts and shit in that lounge downstairs I remember lol. And the guitarist broke a string on Travolta. :(

  • Way better than the album version.

  • great!

  • What he does with that mic about half way through was a divine turn on for me. Screw porn when there is Mr. Bungle.

  • @angiepippi He was trying to recreate the Miles Davis "Bitches Brew" B side sans orchestra.

  • @njbroker81 Mr. Davis is equally exciting to me...same tickle, different part of the the brain. That is the great thing about the genera bending abilities of Mr. Bungle...so many parts of the brain tickled in a single song, one's brain but can't help but explode.

  • Amazing solo...

  • I saw 2 shows from this tour. At the one in Petaluma Mike says, "how about some applause, Trey's parents are here tonight... and my parents can suck a nut!"

  • must be one hell of a feat to rehearse a 10 minute long song with, what is it, 8 band members all playing different instruments, some changing multiple times.

  • Thank you SO much for putting this up. The combined talent of this band, especially Patton, is fkn intoxicating.

  • That's exactly the view I have in my memory of that gig, was I standing next to the cameraman?

  • Was so born in the wrong place and wrong era. If just 15 years earlier. :|

  • hola buen video. .. xD puta que se ve ricOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :)

  • What's going on with Trevor's bass? Looks like he's having some TECHNO-d'ALLAH'ficulties. Yes, I said it!

  • DESERT SEARCH FOR TECHNO ALLAH

  • Dunn outfit is sweet!

  • How the hell is he able to write, compose this stuff?? Sr Bunglez es un genio

  • LULZ. Makes me laugh how some people think Mike is gay because he is quite 'intimate' with his microphones.

  • 6.06 onwards... Wow

  • sick song!

  • He is SO...FUCKING...CUTE!!! MMMmmm

  • it begin at 6:06

  • pre hairgel stage

  • I want to marry this band

  • This is what happens when a bunch of genii get together, take copious amounts of mind-altering substances, and create music.

    Pure brilliance.

  • @corskie1111 lol actually they didn't do any drugs, tho I still wonder...

  • i put this on the jukebox at work, saturday night and then some asshole played pearl jam after it.

  • i love this song! please make a tour!!

  • If Mike Patton were gay, then 3 of my 4 top vocalist would be gay (Mercury, Halford, Patton, Dio)

  • @rms0612 what the hell?Ronnie James Dio wasn't gay

  • @Crackerkiller5 "if Mike Patton were gay"

  • @Crackerkiller5 "if Mike Patton were gay" Patton would be the third.

  • @rms0612 Dio was married to Loretta and Wendy...I guess he wasn't gay. Well however he is dearly missed!!!

  • You do realize he was married?

If you watch The Godfather you'll see where he got his look from......the Mafia.

  • Damn good recording.

  • if was gonna see this band i would make sure i was fucked up during the show lol

  • The Directors Cut shows were outstanding , one of my favorite gigs ever .

  • Why does he mention Bloodhound gang? did they support them on this show or something?

  • @SecretAgent068 - It's also really sad to think they'll never be a show at the Astoria again. I saw Fantomas playing the whole of The Director's Cut there in December 2008, and it was easily the best gig I've ever been to. It wasn't just seeing Patton, or seeing a great album, but the venue itself was brilliant. And they've gone and demolished it for a railway that no one needs. Typical.

  • I was at that same gig. So great. I'm glad i got to go before it got knocked down

  • Amazing!! thanks! great quality!

  • i've seen them live in Vienna, Austria in the end of the 90ies (disco volante-tour). their show was un-be-liev-ab-le fantastic.

  • FUCK!!!!! I would pay good money to have a vid of this entire show. It's really sad to think that there will probably NEVER be a professional shot DVD released from this tour or ANY Bungle tour for that matter. It's sickening when you think of all the fucking garbage out there.

Bungle = Greatest band of all time...period!

  • @SecretAgent068 I was at this gig and it was absolutely mindblowing! Went to see them the next day in Nottingham! I've got the full concert on video too which was great to watch. I also have a video of their set at a festival in Germany on their 'California' tour, and this is pro shot, although the sound mix is not great. There are usually some DVDs knocking around on ebay. I absolutely agree with you: Mr Bungle are the best band ever! Nobody even comes close!

  • @SecretAgent068

hellz yea, my name is blazinphatties so I would know too!

  • @blazinphatties LOL...I did my share back in the day. As the late great Bill Hicks said "I had some good times on drugs, now where's my commercial?" Just in case you haven't heard of Estradasphere or Secret Chiefs 3; they both have DVD's out that are really well done and definitely worth owning. Those are the two main bands I can think of that can be mentioned in the same sentence as Bungle.

  • @SecretAgent068 actually you can find the bizarre fest germany video of this tour on torrent, but it's rather a short gig sadly.

  • @SecretAgent068 next to bieber and the jonas bro of course.

  • @SecretAgent068 check dimeadozen i got it from there a while back. Great show!

  • @SecretAgent068 Dude, they are good and all, but they are no Nickleback.

  • @leachables LOL That has to be be one of the top 3 funniest things someone has ever said to me.

  • @SecretAgent068 awesome, lol

  • Possibly the greatest song title ever!

  • Possibly the greatest song title ever!

  • I bet that microfone is having a really good time!!! :D

It just recieved the bj of its life!!

  • It's funny to look at this and think "wow there's 9 people playing on stage". And think about Slipkorn who have 9 people but 4 of them are doing the same thing....

  • someone told me one day regarding a local band here "it´s terrible to be 8 on stage and sound like 4" (something like that, can´t remember the real quantity of people either but the fact is esence of the phrase haha, like what you say...

  • @TheBungle

slipknorn LMAO its slipknot, but i think theyre pretty overated and suck too

  • This is the 1st song I heard from Bungle.

I was on lsd and it was awesome.

  • I bet it was :P

  • qijamat, qijamat a tawel (8)

  • Great performance.

  • Unlike any band I have ever heard. This is a good thing! I'm afraid they will never get the props they deserve.

  • what did patton say in the beginning

  • "We've got one more song. This is dedicated to the people upstairs. Unfortunately we had to lock them in coz they're all a bunch of Bloodhound Gang fans"

  • Lol Mr. Bungle hating on BG :L

  • LOL. I actually do like Bloodhound Gang but it's still funny

  • Lol same here :D

  • I cried when they played this

  • 4:37 como chupa la japi patton eh! jajajajaja blow job by patton lolol

  • Mindblowing!! I began to love this :)

  • this is so relevant. eternal performance..

im from Jordan, a desert country striving for modernity....

  • don't be silly. if you modernise the deserts we'll have no where to seek refuge. travel to where you feel comfortable, but dont wish for your land to be like other lands.

  • take it easy papillon.

  • :) thanks

  • Can see where Battels are coming from.

  • fuck yea.. blows my mind everytime I see these guys. Mike Patton is a fucking genius!

  • @mikemarsh24 you are right i think everyone give to much credit to mike,i know he is amazing, but what about trey spruance,he compose all alone marry go bye bye for example,it just it really piss me when everybody say patton and patton when this band was trey with patton ,patton is a genious but its not right to say it here since without trey existence disco volante wouldnt exist, and merry go bye bye in my opinion it might be the best song on the album, the lyrics are the best ones on earth

  • I wish I got to see them before they broke up

  • this was one of the best gigs i've ever been to and the best birthday prezzie ever.

  • I don't care how diverse your range is, that is a vocal solo above the gods.

  • No, he's not gay. I thought he looked abit more like Orlando Bloom

  • @arstyfairie08

You know, it's funny. I made that comment two years ago, and reading it now it sounds totally idiotic.

But yea, now that you mention it, absolutely orlando bloom look going on here.

  • I was lucky enough to be at this gig. Smoked some heavy hash and had an awesome night. I love Mike Patton. He is a crazy mother fucka

  • Any chance the person who put this up could send me the full set from this night. Would love to get my hands on it. Cheers

  • What other way is there to see Mr. Bungle?

  • strange opinion... so, every handsome man must be gay in your opinion? I actually think that MP is very very manly, jugding by many other performances and interviews.

  • what i meant to say was that he was a handsome, theatrical man. reading back my comment your right. im not sure what i was saying.

regardless, he kicks ass. so there.

  • @BentNeatly haha im sure you thinking he is goodlooking makes you gay lol. How could you thinking he`s goodlooking make HIM gay ROFL! u sound confused pal

  • @wez85 you crack me up. So true.

  • @BentNeatly I think that's more of a sign that you're gay than he is.

  • @BentNeatly I think that Mike like more guys than girls :S

  • @BentNeatly What? Just because a man is good looking does not mean he is gay, what kind of logic is that

  • @BentNeatly Mike is married with an italian woman... I don't think he's gay.

  • @BentNeatly Okay then every good looking guy is gay now. Your a dueshce

  • @BentNeatly Well, you saw him and you were sexually attracted by him, and you are still wondering who´s the gay?

  • @BentNeatly

I could see the Johnny Depp look, but anyways! Mike Patton's not gay. He just has a very interesting and complicated relationship with his microphone. XP And it works for shock value. =/ And lastly, I think it's hilarious that youtube asks if you want to see the post because it has too many negative votes. XP Hilarious...

  • @BentNeatly what the FUCK does one have to do with the other?? one of the dumbest, most ass-backwards statements i've ever heard

  • #3.00

  • Woooooooooooooooooo!!! So pushful!!! I love Mr.Bungle.

  • BUNGLE WOOOOOO!!!

I miss the Astoria :( bloody trains!

  • heifetz is the man

  • Que temazo me gusta mucho este video!

  • I'd do all sorts of things to Mr. Patton.

  • Amazing.

  • 3:30 - 5:05 patton is full of man.

  • patton is always full of man

  • It's true. I wish he would serenade me with animal sounds.

  • OMFG!!! I loved this song before seeing this vid........... Now Im totally keen on it!!! yeeeeeeeeeah!!!

  • oi! you managed to sneak a video camera into the astoria?! and cameras were big back then!

  • No, I didn't tape this.. lol...

  • Was this the gig where he pissed on the crowd?

I've seen him in the astoria, but i missed this show, i only wish!

  • He did that when he was with Tomahawk, and it was the Astoria, just not this night and with this band.

  • Ah right, i figured it wasn't with Bungle alright, I was front row for Peeping Tom in Astoria, hoping to christ he wouldn't repeat the incident XD

  • Cool, I was front row right there for Peeping Tom also in Cleveland, Ohio, and awfully glad he didn't have the urge to piss on anyone either..haha...

  • you still in cleveland?

  • I don't live in Cleveland, I just go there for concerts.

  • trevor dunn LMAO, classic

  • Musicdomination!

  • Lol, I love this song. Wow, so greasy! HOT!

  • pattons the only guy that can pull off that lesbian haircut

  • LOL!! cloudy! where you been!

  • Don`t forget Bobby Jarzombek.

  • Love the groove 2:41.

This whole track i a "lovesong".

  • very cool vid from my favorite bungle track, thanks for the astoria uploads

  • he looks like hes trying to eat the mic at 4:03!

  • It's a Mike-eat-mike world out there.

  • His shirt said D.R.I. Hehehehe

  • This makes me so sad... b/c they SPLIT. :'(

  • Love this song so much.

Definitely hints ALOT toward Trey's future with Secret Chiefs.

  • Secret Chiefs fuckin' rule. Killer band live.

    Trey's a cool motherfucker too.

  • Yeah man, I love SC3.

They're like a more organized (Not saying that's a better trait) version of Bungle without Patton.

Have you ever listened to Weird Little Boy?

  • Nah, who's in the line-up for Weird Little Boy.

I dig The Chiefs cause I'm half iranian and love the traditional dark persian classical tones they emulate in their sound.

  • Weird Little Boy is the only time (I'm aware of) that Mike Patton and Trey Spruance worked together, it's composed by John Zorn, so it's amazing.

I cannot begin to explain the genius behind Secret Chiefs. One song has a Persian sound, the next Mediterranean, then a metal song. It's amazing.

  • I agree, SC3 is like the more constructive side of Bungle.

  • Yeah.

It's pretty much Bungle with Patton.

Not necessarily a bad thing, I love them as you can tell, but Patton always brings an element into everything he does that completely changes the atmosphere.

So yeah, it's Bungle with organization, haha.

  • Patton is not in SC3...

  • My bad, I meant to say SC3 is like Bungle WITHOUT Patton.

  • Right on... though I think that Bungle is pretty organized. SC3 may be more "normal" or "easier to understand", but I dont know I've never really listened to them. I'll download their shit tonight

  • Yeah, it's not loose and not very improvisational -Like a normal band- while Bungle is much more loose, and that's one of the reasons I love Bungle, and Disco Volante in particular, so very much.

  • I think you overstate the "looseness" of Bungle. A record like DV doesn't work without huge planning. California may be the most planned album in history.

  • Secret Chiefs dominate!!

  • Did they actually support bloodhound gang?

  • No they're slaggin' The Bloodhound Gang.

  • wow I was there, awesome gig

  • fuck yes! that was freegin phenomenal! i saw bungle that year n they played that song n i nearly malfunctioned from the delight.i f'n love that song!

  • From sand to gem.
