  • There is so much wind in that room.

  • flash throwing rocks looooooooooooooooool i thought the fight would be a little bit more intersting then that

  • They obviously had to tone down Supes in the Justice League cartoon

He's so insanely powerful that it would be a shit cartoon if he was how he is supposed to be

  • @TheManOfRash they had to tone down every character

  • but where does this wind come from all of a sudden?

  • Evidently Flash is more than just fast - he HAS to have some sort of extremely high durability to even withstand a little kick like that from Superman...a normal human would be a mist of blood after receiving a kick that could topple a building. That, and how do his bones not break when he punches really fast? He has to have high strength too, to even propel his body forward the way he does. Just, obviously, nowhere near as strong or durable as Supes.

  • wow, So power disrupters are now on the list of ways to kill superman, Other than red sun radiation,Kryptonite, Magic, No yellow sun light, Equal strength. lol

  • uncle clarks want you.

  • In the old days I am sure Superman would have been proud to hole the flag... in modern times Superman must feel ashamed of what orders come from the White House :((((((((

  • ...Did Lex Luthor just try and threaten Batman with a gun that removes super powers?

He really didn't think that plan through did he.

  • @Wecomeforyoutonight He was threatening Superman, not so much Batman. He would probably be fine with taking Superman's powers then letting Batman beat the crap out of him. Because he knows Batman wouldn't kill him and he could just recuperate in prison. Then when he breaks back out, Superman will no longer be there to stop him and if he builds a big armor suit, Batman wouldn't be able to beat him.

But Lex has a miniscule amount of "good" in him, so he didn't take Superman's powers.

  • @LazerJet27

lex is what is called "lawful evil"

no amount of rightness compelled him not to shoot supes. it was, as he said, because he "gave his word"

  • Anybody else notice how far flash tossed Superman?

  • Really surprised Luthor didn't do it. Then again, Batman and Flash were also there. Batman doesn't have any powers, and that was Luthor's only weapon, so he'd be screwed. Flash would be too fast to get hit by it, and he knew others were coming.

Also, some small part of him was probably happy that he actually DID get to shoot the rampaging Kryptonian who was trying to take over America (Justice Lord Superman pretty much embodies all of the propaganda Lex says about Superman).

  • I bet Luthor would have shot Superman if Bats wasn't there. Seeing as how Batman doesn't have any superpowers to begin with he could have easily subdued the baldy.

  • @Darkstarfoxx If it was so easy for Luthor to whip up such a device, he could have removed Superman's powers before--- IF HE WANTED TO. But I don't think he wants to.

  • @GoblinXXX No it just a plot device due to bad and lazy writting

  • Superman prime broke the speed force. If flash has never even displayed a fraction of his speed, then I can't imagine prime's speed.....

  • Yes, flash is faster than superman. But he isn't as fast as superman prime.

  • how did the flash die in the Justice Lords time?

  • @suckle lex blew his brains out with a shotgun

  • That doesn't make any sense.

Though, I didn't watch the whole episode.

But, a power disruptor? How would that even work?

For one thing, pretty much all the heroes have gotten their powers through different means. Like, they don't all have powers for the same reason.

How could you make a magic ray gun that universally disrupts super powers?

  • @cswurt Nobody implied that it would work on non-Kryptonians.

  • @cswurt Well, in the DC Universe, super-powered beings are meant to have a Metagene in their biological makeup, which grants them their superpowers. However:

    1. I'm not sure how that works with aliens like Superman and the Martian Manhunter

    2. Devices like the power disruptor still shouldn't work on Green Lantern, considering his powers come from the ring and not his D.N.A.

  • At 1:55, superman doesn't give a shit because the fastest man alive is standing right the fuck next to lex.

  • that picture of Superman holding the American flag...it's a old image, but for some reason it's still powerful to this day.

  • @03fazfai altou barry created the speed force Wally is faster... Barry explained tht Wally has an unusual connection to it as seen were all speedsters were cut off from the speed force ( yes even Barry) and only wally was able to maintain a connection to it (if u dont believe me google wally or jus read a comic ; )

  • @03fazfai he may created it but wally is faster..... Barry pointed out tht wally has an unusual connection with the speed force tht cannot b broken as seen were every one (even Barry) lost his speed and only Wally was able retain a connection with the speed force

  • i dont get it, why is there two supermans?

  • It's too bad we never heard from the Justice Lords again. That just get carted off into obscurity. lol

  • If Flash knew kung fu I don't know who could beat him accept the martian manhunter.

  • superman has superspeed too?

  • this is a message to the American government from superman....stop being so gay and go back the old days!

  • BEAST!!!

  • I like the idea that Superman was the only one to respect the flag. It suggests that he is very different from his darker counterpart and more able to keep from making the same decisions/mistakes.

  • @00Black00Rose00 Exactly, it was a lesson to ALL that the TRUE american, and not even american but HUMAN BEING in GENERAL stands for what's TRUE, JUST, and RIGHT and LOVING above all, and NOT for destruction and tyranny and brutality and injustice, so yeah def. :)

  • this just proves that all the league are equal ;D

  • "because I felt the same temptations he has..."

Don't we all sometimes feel the urge to punch Wally West in the face?

  • this is wally west?????

  • Lex's gay ass pedophile voice pisses me off.

  • Wait can't lex just make another one of those guns at a later day. I mean shit, probably even a better one(drain flashes speed, make batman braindead, cripple WW, and sap GLs rings). Nope lets just parden him for his crimes(40 stolen cakes) and let him stroll back to the lab. Now dont worry about him just killing flash. Its cool though we got to see superman pose with the gun(that he should shoot at darkseid) and the flag.

  • @mercenary848 You forgot his other, most absolutely evil crime. He did not wash his hands.

  • Wait couldn't lex luthor just build ones of those and use it at a later day. Then he could kill flash and then take supermans powers and kill him. Didn't think this through guys.

  • 1:17 oh yes....

    hasta la vista, baby.

  • It makes no sence that a "power disrupter" takes away supermans powers. I mean, he doesn't actually have power. He is like this BY DEFAULT!

  • @peronkop Ya you got a point

  • @peronkop He gets his powers from yellow sunlight radiation stored in his body. If that was somehow cut off or disrupted, he'd lose his powers and drop to the level of a normal earthling.

  • @Igarappappa In the comics, Superman doesn't lose all of his powers at once, more like a couple of days. He can also lose his powers through magic. In one of those instances, he married Lois, in the Wedding Album. She convinced him too get his powers back later on.

  • @peronkop Technically Kryptonians get their powers from the sun..

  • @1Fireycat Then he would just get his powers back eventually... unless they keep him locked in that redsun cell that the thanigarians used.

  • @peronkop

You clealry don't know anything about SCIIIIIEEEEENCE!

  • @peronkop you are possibly the first to say that.

  • @peronkop technically it could work, because superman's powers manifest from him solar energy from a yellow sun, so the disruptor could disrupt that energy from being converted into use for his super powers, but I could be wrong

  • @SgtAces707 where can i get there epic storylines withgeneral zod doomsday and darkseid please

  • @SgtAces707 especially the choices he has to make, like having to let Lex go after helping him take down the Justice Lords.

  • As soon as Superman threw that giant ass piece of re-enforced concrete, that should have been it. Flash is not super strong, or invulnerable. He is a man who is EXTREMELY fast, and thats it. He would have been smashed like a bug.

  • @rvngexisntxjstce funny, that re-enforced concrete looked remarkably like a shelving unit

  • @rvngexisntxjstce don't you think he physically trains his body for scenarios such as that. true he is just a man, but he's been thrown around his fair share of times to be able to take the pain and move on

  • @rvngexisntxjstce Flash's connection to the speed force allows him to dull the inertia of a moving object. There was a comic where he got shot, but survived because he was able to steal the inertia/momentum of the bullet as it struck him. Speed force is waaay powerful super speed is just the tip of the iceberg

  • @rvngexisntxjstce flash is invulnerable in his own way he can take the momentum of an object .

  • HA! at the end when Superman raises the flag. Smallville fans will know that every final scene of a Smallville episode ends with an American flag in the shot. nice.

  • Yeah Flash, throw rocks at him. That will work.

  • great scott what two supermans the other one looks like jor-el

  • Huh, I thought that Superman was as fast as Flash. Guess they need to balance it so that everyone seems interesting since he's a genius like Bats as well etc.

Still, I'm not exactly happy how they solved this: instead of making Supes fight at normal speed, they should've made him and Flash both fight at VERY high superspeed. I know the episode has limited time, but would like a 2-3 minute fight while doing several laps around the world running as fast as they did in "Speed Demon" be awesome ?

  • The American flag has special powers so only it will billow in the wind (notice how supermans cape doesn't). ;)

  • america

  • I'm baffled... Lex is a man of... HONOR.

  • @worldistrouble I'm sure Lex either built a duplicate or kept duplicate schematics of it. Honor had little to do with that.

  • You know with all the other Justice Lords powerless wouldn't Lorder Bats be the most powerful guy in thier universe? Able to do what he wanted, when he wanted with an army of Superman robots at his beck and call? Sound like a plan came together. After all it was he who built the demensional portal, he who found the leagues universe and he who was split off from the team at the time. Who's to say he wasn't lying to Leaguer Bats about turning over a new leaf?

  • @Fenris30 He wasn't... his mind was changed when Justice League Batman implied that their parents wouldn't be proud of what he'd done. He could no more continue on a path that would make his parents ashamed than Batman could.

  • @changeableak He could use it against them also:) They were at the same direction.

  • I call bullshit on the rocks hurting Superman

  • 2:47

Superman, with the the Star-Spangled Banner in one hand and a doomsday gun in the other hand

Why not send him to fight terrorism?

  • @xbox644

That would be an interesting Elseworlds story with Superman fighting the middle east. I'd read that.

  • @xbox644 Because that's why the made Captain America XD

  • @xbox644 Lol! That scene was pretty symbolic and patriotic. I'll be leaving for the Navy in a little over a month and watching this just reassured me that I'm making a good choice. God bless America.

  • @xbox644

Because the flag only has 40 stars.

  • Same flag, same written principles, but each individual sees it differently. Justice Lord Superman obviously value the justice doctrine too ardently, while our Superman value the freedom symbolizes in the flag more.

Personally I cannot condemn Justice Lords for wanting a more unified world, but they forgot that Law is like cooling water, human minds remain the unquenchable fire. Without compassion and understanding, no amount of law can bring peace to the world.

    Warmongers take note.

  • @Cyberium Big words, you earn my respect :D

  • 2:40 ironic that he will be renouncing his us citizen ship years later

  • WOW

  • When Superman picks up the american flag at the end and sets it back up right he didnt quite do what he was SOPPOSED to do according to the rules, lol. I really dont care about american flags that much, they are just a piece of cloth we hang on a pole, but Superman is a goody two shoes. According to his character he shouldv burned the flag (With his heat ray) cause it was touching the ground. I personaly wouldnt burn a flag cause it touched the ground, but its something Superman would do, lol

  • @WinnerClyde wtf are you talking about? why would superman burn the flag? Just shut up.

  • The flash dodging made so much sense. If he would have just kept moving he would have had the advantage but then those are the breaks when you can't read minds. lol

  • I wonder, can that power disruptor gun work on Darkseid as well? Also what happened to the Justice Lords, did they go back to their world with or without their powers?

  • Lex Luther you fucking faggot your only chance and you blow it....

  • There's something that I don't get... Isn't Superman suppose to be just as fast as the Flash? Superman fights always seem to be slow and bulky. Not that I'm complaining because I love Superman but it confuses me a little.

  • @leonnasagawa In this series, Superman is still pretty fast, but Flash is faster.

  • @leonnasagawa cartoons, anime, comics, manga, ect. always ignore logic, science, and rationale. If superman could do everything they say he could do, he would be invincible all the time, at any given time. His speed would be so fast, he would KO bad guys in less than time itself.Thats why the writers are always changing superman's power. If the hero is to strong u need an even stronger villian to have a plot.

  • You gotta admit the ending was very very very cheesy.

  • We'll speed wise I believe Flash is faster..I mean..it's his main power after all and He most likely could hurt Clark by using his own momentum against Him. As was seen here

  • I love how Lex sounds almost like he's orgasming when he pulls the trigger. XD

  • LoL at the end.

Superman 4 President, and he approves this message.

  • supes uses heat vision a lot more in the comics

  • Lex was SOOO ready to press that button @ the Non-Corrupt Superman.

  • i liked the evil superman's costume better.

  • I believe Superman can turn back time just like in the movie you know. He go flying around the earth so fast that it turns back time. So he can go back and kill flash when he was a baby any time he wants.

  • @melbertmartin well if thats d case flash could do the same by running...superman fan by d way just making a valid point i think

  • 1.17 LMAO LEX

  • i hate that they cancel the show.. i don't undertand why they start losing views?? i love that show an i never miss any episode from the series. i guess some ppl start watching live show instead...what going on in this world...

  • @MarkuPro the show did'nt got cancel it ended after 2 seasons

  • @SponTavious right when they let all the villains go that when they end series 2 but if they had more views they would had the chance to make series 3.

  • somwhere along the way, USA lost the right to have any copyright over 2:47 - 2:50. In spirit at least, legally is a different matter.

  • great to watch but really really fucking dumb, giving luthor a weapon that can permanently take away supermans powers?? and then leaving it in his hands and chatting to Alternate superman? i love this show but come on, i cant be the only comic book fan who thinks this is the most retarded ending to a great episode!!! why didn't they just have the alternate heroes regain a sense of right and wrong, superman about to slaughter flash would have been the best place to starrt

  • @TheLydianRocks are you forgeting that Lex Luthor was the one who discovered that superman's weaknesses was kryptonite? the guy comes up with any crazy idea and it actually works he's one of supermans most smartest villians he could've destroyed superman along time if he was really into it but he was looking forward into becoming the president first

  • It makes no sense, why didn't Luthor build that gun ages ago?

  • @CurseCreep He had to wait for this episode.

  • i really believe flash would be a perfect match. flash has super speed and super vibration. Flash can scramble someone's brains with a touch. He can blow a wall up in a few seconds with vibrations. He can vibrate through stuff. When fighting Luthor-Braniac he showed he can outspeed lasers and throw a million punches in one. Superman gets one hit on flash and he wins. flash gets one super vibrated touch to superman's head then he wins. I think it's all about whoever gets the first hit.

  • @Kusemonobakademon2 i would of thought supermans brain is invulnerable like the rest of him

  • @Kusemonobakademon2 Flash would'nt be able to scramble superman's brains that easily with a touch to his head, superman skin is steel like but develops soft tissue molecules

  • @SponTavious , So you think Flash cannot vibrate through steel? Obviously this would never happen. Ability to do so? Sure.

  • @Zach979 Wally West powers has increased. He can move at any speed now. And he cant be removed from the speed force unlike the others.

  • Lol, Luthor surrounded by Flash and Batman acting big before backing down

  • If flash threw those rocks at me I would have cried

  • @Fdthemaster1 Lol true

  • @Fdthemaster1 lmfao

  • thats how they should've fought on Smallville.

  • from what i hear is flash can break the speed force barrier, superman cant.

flash breaking the barrier is what lead him to single handedly defeat lex/braniac

  • if flash was serious and not joking around like he always do, then i think he could be stronger if not as strong as superman

  • @NightmareZ3Z

He's faster, but that's about it. Flash has mild superhuman strength and durability required to move as fast as he can, but nowhere near enough to fight Superman equally. He could possibly kill him by ripping him apart at the molecular level like he did to Luthor-Braniac, but that would require getting in close, and if Superman manages throughout the pain to hit him just once, Flash is down and out. He might be able to win, but the deck is staked against him.

  • The flash is like robin with super speed but he has that one super power that he does so well everyone would hate to fight him.

  • Question: Considering that Barry and Wally (the Flash's) got their power from electrically-charged chemicals...yet, the speed force is a mystical extra-dimensional energy force that all speedsters draw from (a sort of Vahalla for speedsters)...would you consider the Flash's to be altered mutants (e.g., Fantastic Four), human-alien symbiote, powered (e.g., green lantern), magical, or something else?

  • I long while ago Sups and Flash had a race around the world.. Flash beat beat sups by a fraction of a mili second. Flash holds the title of of being the fastest being on the planet

  • I wish they did a follow up to this episode. All they did is allude to it as being the reason Cadmus or whatever it's called being afraid of the JLA. I think a grudge match would be a good start for JLU.

  • Really flash is faster i didnt know, i though it was stated that they always get interupted and dont actually know which one of them is faster, i think they are draw though maybe for superman fatigue sets in early as flash runs all the time lol

  • Super means just that, super, not supreme. Flash is faster. Pre-crisis, superman agreed, but supes, to be frank was getting boring. All the juicy plots marvel comics came up with in the 80's forced dc to redefine and down scale superman. Seriously, who can relate to a guy that could not be hurt and push planets around with a smile on his face?

  • The reason he chickened out was batman was their... none of those "super powers" needed to beat down an average person haha. (batterang and kick to the face)

  • Certain incarnations of the Flash were slower than Superman. In the JL cartoon, they use Wally West, who was the first Flash to reach the speed force (basically just past speed of light) and return. Wally was by far the fast being around until some character way in the future in the comic books (can't think of his name).

  • @boiler6460 his names Professor Zoom or Zolamon Zoom the Reverse Flash which so happen to be Wally West's Future Self.

  • @Deadman20101000 Professor Zoom is not Wally West's future self, he is Eobard Thawne. Who time traveled back to when Wally was Flash and Barry Allen was dead. Thawne idolized Barry so much he actually believed he was Barry, and went insane.

  • I really believe the writers had to make Superman number 2 at something, so they chose speed. The truth is, if the writers wrote Superman so he actually used all of his powers expertly, he would be invincible. Super-hearing, x-ray vision, heat vision, super strength, super speed, invulnerability...the writers had to really work hard to make anyone seem like a challenge for Superman.

  • @trounds2

    Well said. Couldn't agree more.

  • @SupermanPRlME Yep - and the really frightening thing (well, if you're a bad guy, anyway), is that this is animated Superman. Compared to the Modern Age Comic Superman or especially the maddened Superboy/Superman-Prime (who I'm sure you're familiar with given your user name) or the Silver Age Superman (Kal-L), who could fly at warp speed and crush planets with his bare hands, this Superman isn't nearly as powerful as he could be!

  • @trounds2

well, even in the comic book, Superman says Flash (whichever version) is probably faster than he is.

  • @trounds2 True that. I wish the comics would give all his powers back and let him kick some ass.

  • @trounds2 Flash is still faster than Superman though. Yes Superman is one of the fastest beings in the universe but The Flash has always been faster. But ya they really powered him down in the animated series.

  • @trounds2 Not invulnerability, he's just incredibly tough.

Doctor Light might be able to, if she can siphon energy off him. Flash would if he went all out (infinite mass trumps durability), anyone with kryptonite and a lead box. Supergirl (it'd be like Ali vs Tyson, but it'd be a fight he could lose)

  • @trounds2 it could be one of those justifications where since superman has all of these powers, he does not have the time to individually master all of them. while he still makes use of all of his powers, he specializes more in using them in cadence. so when it comes to a specific power, like speed, the flash is superior because that's his ONLY power, and the one thing that he is more experienced in using, making him better than superman in speed.

  • @trounds2 In the comic book they just rewrote his origin, which in turn made him weaker.

  • @trounds2 After Crisis on Infinite Earths, The Flash was always faster than Superman. Always. This wasn't invented by the writers of the Justice League cartoon.

  • @trounds2 Which has been Superman's biggest problem over the years. He's God...and its rather hard to care or believe anyone can beat him if he's moving planets and flying through black holes.

I believe Sups and Flash are equal in speed. At least until Flash starts using the Speed force. Then he pulls ahead.

  • @MaxxCoyote Wally west is mainlined with the speed force. after the crisis superman isnt that powerful anymore. in one of the comics i forgot the name Barry allen and superman are running and this is the conversation.

Barry: you cant stop me clark

Superman: ive raced you before barry ive even won some of those races

Barry: those were for charity clark.

    and barry zooms away.

    Wally > barry

superman = couple times speed of light

wally = over 14 times the speed of light.

  • @Kusemonobakademon2 someone worked out the math from one of wally's comics where he saved a city, and he would have to be travelling at a couple of trillion times the speed of light its insane, also you seem to know a lot about the flash, got any recommendations on what to read?

  • @Kusemonobakademon2 barry allen is faster then wally west barry is the source of the speed force

  • @03fazfai altou barry created the speed force Wally is faster... Barry explained tht Wally has an unusual connection to it as seen were every was cut off from the speed force in ( yes even Barry) and only wally was able to maintain a connection to it (if u dont believe me google wally or jus read a comic ; )

  • @trounds2 Even writers have agreed that if they used all of the flashes powers which i posted he would be absolutely too overpowered. there are even writers that dont like writing about the flash because hes just to powerful. Comicvine did a battle between flash and superman and like 90% of them said flash. alot of people agree that flash is the most powerful postcrisis jla member.

  • @Kusemonobakademon2 Flash only known power is super speed what other powers do he have? enlighten me

last time i checked flash went past his speed limit (speed force) and almost wounded up in another dimension, you sames like a flash number 1 fan but face the facts flash is not the most powerfulest thats dumb, superman IS!

  • @SponTavious actually....he has a point, wally at full power in the comics is ridiculously powerful that is why they nerf him down all the time, search "why the flash is the best superhero" on google and select the top answer, gives an amusing but accurate description of why (also gives some praise to superman and batman)

  • @DrNaviii wow i looked up that thing on google and it was amazing!!!

  • @SponTavious , Think about why super speed. How its generated. What can be accomplished with control of kinetic energy down to molecular level. The effects on gravity & time. Perception of this from the point of view when stuff is at a stand still. That throw from 0:22 was not with super strength. Superman however, is the most balanced powered ALIEN hero with human likeness. So much in fact that many ppl forgets easily his body is not human.

  • i agree with you.flash is a kick ass superhero and so is superman but i think superman is a lot faster than they potrayed him in this scene.superman and flash are around the same speed(flash is faster tho)and well superman was a like a turtle.if i was a writer i would have made it so that superman was going near full speed and flash at least had to work a bit to dodge the punches.but thank god that wasnt the real superman tho.

  • @trounds2 Thankfully Superman, like all superheroes, wanted control more than he wanted power. Poor guy would've been commited to Arkham before high school if he didn't learn to control his superhearing, and THAT'S a passive power! Imagine what would've happened if he never learned to control one of his ACTIVE powers :0

  • @trounds2 Superman is number two when it comes to speed. Possibly number three or even lower. Flash is faster than the fastest fast. He IS fast itself. Depending on canon, Captain Marvel is even faster than Superman because he is empowered by a divinity. Superman isn't even the most powerful character in DC, he's just the most resourceful and most determined on his level of power. Even Morrison, who has a long standing love affair with Supes, has shown that.

  • @trounds2 Same for Flash. His Speed Force rampage in the finale of JLU season 1 isn't even a fraction of what he can really do.

  • @CosmicScare Agreed, Wally West is the fastest being in the DC universe by far. If you read the comics you see some of the absolutely insane things he can do once he become. Essentially he can move at any speed he thinks possible. It's a shame he doesn't get the respect he deserves.

  • @spyda0058 So true. He could be actual the strongest superhero in dc universe. But batman and superman got all love from fans.

  • @CosmicScare

I'm pretty sure running around the earth in a tenth of a second and single handedly kicking the shit out of brainiac should count as a fraction.

  • @CosmicScare Didn't he almost kill himself doing that?

  • @HiIeric117 yes the other fraction of what he can do is die.

  • @trounds2 He's number 2 at a lot of things. Darkseid is stronger than him for example. There's lots of people who found workarounds to his invulnerability too such as magic users or Parasite.

  • @trounds2 As well as being something the writers had to do, there was also Supe's fear of his powers. In the last episode of JLU he talks about his fears of using his powers to their full extent, something he rarely does because he could potential tear a planet apart.

  • @trounds2 And also they make him number 2 at Smarts/Wits

  • @trounds2 I couldnt agree more either

  • @trounds2 you forgot ice breath

  • @trounds2 didn't superman lose a foot race to flash in the comics once?

and a flying race to green lantern?

    i can't remember.

    i see your point though

  • why superman have that weird clothes?

  • The ending always reminds me of Superman 2.

  • that kick from superman should have put a hole through him..flash has no super strength

  • lol flash was playing with the superman, imagine if he knew superman wasnt knocked out he might've put up a fight
