its simple all you have to do is buy an action reply dsi insert your r4i in the place where the game goes then format all the cheats in it (beacause all the games on it would be all the games that are on it and the cheats on the games on the r4i wouldnt work) create a game called r4i start your r4i (im gonna post a video of how to if this didnt make sense)

the only problem is that your dsi's version en your r4's vesion are different i have the same problem too

i have the same problem with the new dsi i just bought. I emailed the r4i tech support and they told me that i need to downlaod the newest version and config - update on the old version of the dsi and it should work

Your r4 card is a old version I think 1.4.1 you need a new R4 card with a new version

the group of jerks (sometimes) updatedthe dsi, thus disabling thr use of r4i. i would just recomend using a ds lite

hi .

i had this problem, did you update it via wif, or have you pulled the chip out without switching off your ds first.

what you need to do is , first copy all your games to your computer, then format your micro card as i did then go to firm wear site and down load film wear for your micro chip and then put games back on, iffffff you pulled the block out with out switching off you will need another card.

check the firmware (your r4i has a star wars icon because its r4i v1.4) have you upgraded your dsi or firmware higher than 1.4 if so then thats the cause Nintendo has blocked flashcarts but i know i have an acekard 2i and it works great

the reason is u turened it off while it was updating the firmware

i know the reason . cuz ur r4i card's version lower than ur dsi version . check the setting at the bottom of top screen . u will see what version of ur dsi . if ur version is 1.4.2E/U u should buy a flashcard R4i 3DS n download firmware 1.38b + update version. '' if u wanna update ur card u should use a DS lite to update '' u cant update by dsi with highest version.

No matter what you do, r4i's no longer work in that dsi it basically bricks your dsi,i rang Nintendo and was told that is why the update is there to stop you from using R4i's,gutted really as i have updated 2 of my kids who are not happy,but the r4i cards work in the other 2 kids,so beware DON'T UPDATED YOUR DSI

ok if yo you look on the r4 there will be a web go on it and download the newest update then put it on the r4 and put it in a ds lite and open the .nds file and follow the instusion on the screeen and then when it has stop updating turn the ds lite off and put in your dsi and i will work

Ok that happen to me too but the reason y ur r4i isnot being read by your ndsi is because you have updated your ndsi to a higher version which your r4i wont be able to play so WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS THIS GET YOU MICRO DS CARD AND PLUG IT IN YOUR COMPUTER AND GO TO THE WEBSITE WERE R41 GAMECARD SAYS AND WHEN YOU GET THERE DOWNLOAD THE LATEST UPDATE FOR YOU R41 AND YOU WILL HAVE TO FORMAT YOU MICRO SD AND WHEN YOUR DONE EXTRACT THE FILES YOU JUST DOWNLOADED AND DRAG THEM TO YOUR MICRO SD FOLDER

u need to upgrade ur r4i firmware via r4i-u . c o m then use a ds lite to upgrade it.
