i would like to know what's the size of 1 hour video filmed with this kind of camera and what kind of computer u use to manage it. i mean, a 2 hour DVD movie video file size could be around 4gb or more but which could be the size of a studio movie like The Dark Night with all the original quality?
Too bad these cameras aren't available to anyone you have to rent it to use one the one that is available is worth about $80k, how much will this cost? 16k? xD
@Dailybabble Sony does sell their professional cameras in the Cinealta line. These are quite pricey though and with I believe the F65 now they are more.
so beautiful.... if i had to choose between having sex with a fine girl or making a movie with this camera, id pick the camera... no offense to the girls. i love you all, but i gotta set my priorities straight ;)
@dehBix: The F23 is still a great camera for high end footage on green screen ... But alongside Sony's F23 and F35 there are much cheaper solutions on the present market ... RED ONE is excellent if you got the right workflow for postproduction on your side ...If you have a little more budget I would choose the ARRI ALEXA ... it has a great workflow with the ProRes 4444 codec on SxS-Cards, smart/fast handling and brilliant image quality and by the way it's a perfectly ingeneered work tool ...
@ simpleton7: I can recommend a 'S two OB1' digital recorder for a tapeless workflow. We've used this recorder unit with the Sony F35 as well and it's a very light and smart solution. Using with Steadycam is possible and with 3D (dual streams). It captures uncompressed 4:4:4 RGB over four HD-SDI inputs on changeable Solidstate flash mags.

I wonder if you connect an SR deck to the f3 you'd get the same quality as the f23.
