Grapple Beam trick? you mean the one where you grapple the exposed electricity and it kills the boss? This is Super Metroid Redesign and the redesign makes it much, much harder to land that maneuver. The only time I ever landed it, was this run and... you saw what happened. Is there another trick?

Also, you can google it. It's not too hard to find and there are instructions on the site where it is offered.

That sounds like a TSA speed-running trick. These are first-runs which are just me playing through the game as normal. That and although I respect the methodology for glitching and occasionally abuse them myself, I just like winging it. I beat him after without issue. Also I tend to play a little stupidly just to ad a little tension.

EASY DRAYGON VICTORY: Destroy all of the turrets and let him pick you up. When he's holding you and flies by a broken turret, use the grapple beam to latch onto the electrical mess. Hurts you a bit, but hurts him more. ^^

That works in the normal Super Metroid, but in Redesign the electrical mess will hurt you more, basically you'll die before killing Draygon.

Also if you knew you should notice that the room is changed/ theres no save room before dray/what ever. and the visor is blue not green like should

just try it with charged Spazer Beam against him when he comes out from the sides. If you want, i can make a small video how to show i beat him maybe that helps you out. A small tip at the end when he graps you just press all the buttons to run etc. like up down left and right and you should got off from draygon.

But as a hardcore 2D Metroid fan I have to finish this of to!!

2 Missile tanks

1 energy tank

Killed sporespawn

High Jump boots (or wall jump boots, lol)

But it sucks to play with keyboard =/

you'll get used to the keyboard though, I actually prefer it now! Only 2d fighters like street fighter bother me, because motioning fireballs is so hard on a keyboard with only primary directions.

btw, get the map. You're gonna hit the wall if you don't and believe me, it's hard enough with the map at parts. Just finding new areas takes a while.

Honestly, it took me a while. Some things are really well hidden. Make sure to look for the map online. Some will say that's cheating, but honestly, finding the chozo statues is downright painful sometimes.

I'm also impatient and having better things to do than roam areas forever until infinity. :D.

The games awesome though, Hells Run is sweet and having a new twist on a brilliant game is awesome.

It took me like 20 hours, maybe longer. I also tried not to use the map at parts. (bad idea).

Super metroid redesign is a hack you lace onto the rom file. It's not too hard to find.

Yeah that was the only time I ever managed to connect after 15-20 grabs over the course of three or four runs, which is also why I screwed it up so bad. I'd basically given up at the end haha.

The same trick also works on the original Super Metroid.Saves lots of time.

You could of easily escaped Draygon when he caught you if you had just moved and shoot like a maniac. Trust me it works, and you dont have to take any damage at all.....

Anyways good play, I wish I had those skills when it comes to action sci-fi games, except Star Wars.
