  • Thanks to Zepman for posting this!

  • Awesome ! Thanks to whomever posted this. It's like a dream come true to have acces to all these LZ recordings. I had worn out the albums, but my LZ fandom has been Reborn. Love the '77 shows!

  • I wish I could put this version of this song in my pocket and carry it around for the rest of my days, and pull it out at will...

  • 77' Zep rocked socks, i don't care what anyone says

  • it's hard to say when zep was at their peak, some would suggest 73 or 75 but they always re-created themselves and just kept amazing us. it's 2009 and this music is absolutely priceless and incomparable

  • I never hear anyone say 1980 but the stuff I heard from that era I thought was great.

  • Actually I think more like 71 or 72 when they made their two best albums and put on their most consistent live shows.

  • plant pre '73, page '73, bonzo '79, jpj always great

  • It's there a video of this.

I remember getting it from an unofficial Zeppelin site years ago.

  • EDIT: *Isn't* there a video of this?

I think I downloaded a 77 version this off the Achille's Last Stand website years ago.

  • nah man, the houston show from 77 is rumored to have some footage stowed away god knows where, but as far as we know, right now, there is none available.

  • soo sick, thes guys just rock out, and i keep thinkin how impossible it is for 3 musicians to be able to jam like this and just improv, its crazy

  • Bonzo was the engine, JPJ was the cylinders.

All the rest were chrome and burning rubber.

    Long live Zeppelin.

  • simply the best version of no quarter :)!

  • On this version as well as the LTTE version, what's so neat is the call and response back and forth musical communication between JPJ, Bonzo and Page. They really are so locked together and play as though they are in some way almost psychicly rotating around each other. Love this shit.

  • I love the seattle version of no quarter 77, just amazing, even though the audio isnt that great

  • Yeah, the LTTE live version is awesome as well, and while that one if my particular fave, after hearing just these first 2 parts of this one, I'm beginning to change my mind. I always tend to listen to Bonzo's drumming because I'm a drummer, but in total, JPJ and Bonzo both are fantastic on this. JPJ doesn't quite get the credit he so richly deserves for his input into the Zep repetroire.

  • the no quarters in 1977 were my favorite types Zep would often hit 30 min of nonstop jamming!!!!!!

  • wow this is mmy fav version of no quarter

  • fresh zep post....mmm...must be my birthday..
