Additionally, that interviewer at the end deserved to be fired, on the spot, for the harrassing, abusive and reprehensible way he treated Nicky. Whatever happened to professionalism and basic respect???
I feel disgusted and sad that people can treat other human beings like this - especially those in the media, who have the potential to genuinely improve the world IF THEY WANT TO. Of course, sensationalism and stigmatising sell news.
When will people just accept that people are people - that we're all different, all unique and that if someone's different to you, it does NOT mean they're less worthy of respect, rights, support and love.
That news guy on the eyewitness section of the show is obviously just trying to show her up and cause unnecessary embarrassment. I would like to see him fired from his position. At a basic level he isn't even treating her as a human being.
I hate this. I hate watching it, I hate reliving the insults. When I can walk down the street without getting stared at, when i can use the right bathroom, when I can marry the woman or man that I fall in love with without discrimination, I will know that I live in the country the us is trying to be.
Okay, this was indeed very moving. While I am pro gender mainstreaming (in language, documents etc.), until now I was not quite open to even THINK about the need to address transgender persons accordingly, i.e., in a different way than when dealing with persons of clear (i.e., mainstream-comprehensible) assortment of physique, mind and spirit.
This video helped me to understand, what gross and humiliating a thing all those exploitation shows are. Thx for the eye-opener!
The way the news anchor treated the poor woman he was interviewing was sickening! It makes me want to send an angry letter, but alas, like how she was quieted and not listened to, I would be just the same. :(
Abuse them forget they're people. they're not breathing or bleeding or anything.. till you abuse, and beat them down. then it's just what?? The Media Loves not caring. how can you even tell the media you hate what they do? they just ignore the emails, tweets, and phone calls. Why even try to be Christian, Catholic, One GOD respecting individuals. Makes me ashamed that priests can do anything they want to children , but people who want to love in a Binary as preached to us from birth. Bless TGs
Yup, this is what we trans folk have to endure; kids and adults alike. The nasty comments, being the butt of jokes, discrimination overt and hidden and outright cruelty from allegedly intelligent, civilized and educated human beings. (although I have serious doubts about whether that applies to ANYONE at Fox News...) It's the truth. The truth can be pretty ugly when you look at it in the light.
Think about this: when a trans person dies, we lose a resource. We can't afford to lose resources.
I can't decide whether to like or dislike this... I like the ultimate message it sends but the intermediate harassment and exploitation sickens me. LGBT people are PEOPLE too!
this is discusting they should treat us trans people with respect this makes me sick

Brilliant video, which makes a much-needed point.

Eyewitness news guy (7:44). What he was doing had absolutely nothing to do with the matter at hand.

There are no words. Nobody should be treated like this...but I've come to expect such utter dismissal for the feelings of others from Fox News.
