@Yaledmot I could be wrong, but I don't think either the Erato or Venezia originally had swell shades. I think they were added by the museum staff, like on the Philipps model 10 Pianella in other videos posted by this Youtube enthusiast.
The two Eratos I know of are this one (with a standard Erato case design) in Wilhelmsbau at the Technik-Museum Speyer; and the other (which is built into a Venezia #2 case) in the Black Forest Museum in Triberg, I believe. The only known Venezia (case design #1) is located in the US, currently unrestored and for sale.
Fascinating orchestrion! I love the musical arrangements too! As far as I know, Weber only made two orchestrions which play the Erato roll: the Erato (piano, reiterating mandolin, xylophone, drums, cymbal triangle), and the Venezia (same instrumentation as Erato minus the xylophone). Each was made in about 3 case designs. I know of two Eratos and one Venezia in existence. The rolls must be very rare.
Can anybody tell me the song title?

I assume the original swell shades were wood?

The other known Erato (the one in the Venezia #2 case) has a really beautiful case design and can be seen at about 6:46 in the video
"Im Schwarzwaldmuseum Triberg (2)"
although it does not play in this video. It would be nice to see and hear it play.

the music sounds almost like something
that could be used in a cartoon.
