  • I hope someday there will be no need for any form of government at all. That someday the only kind of society has no currency system, just helps people because it is good to do so. Noone in power, noone in poverty, everyone living to support eachother and thrive together. I believe that we can advance much more quickly that way. I believe it will help all living things the most.

  • this is coming to the us soon S1867 be warned all! do the research on what this song is about,1 world gov't and were gonna smash it down!Spread the word all this shit is real!

  • This is a song that is really about YOU. Throughout History, tens of thousands of good men have risen to power to rule - all but a few have turned to a darker side, an enemy that must be destroyed.

Humans - especially men - are genetically designed to kill and destroy in order to rule. Only your brain allows you to decide if it is right or wrong. Without that ability it is just survival.

No one reading this is not part of the problem.

"We all have a dark side...to say the least...

  • One world ...

  • Anthem of the jews

  • @Teph87 Did you actually listen to the lyrics? That's so far off, on so many levels.

  • @ClassicRockNerd this song makes me think of evil jews, maybe if u knew more about their tribe you would too

  • @Teph87 godwin at work again...

  • @Teph87 wow fucking hitler...

  • Only the Good die young? Think again. There is no such thing as Good on the Field of Combat. You Live or you Die. Those who Live...Well, were we quite so Lucky? Think about it.

  • this song is way off but its not that bad

  • I looked up worst pink floyd song of all time, and this is what I get?

Man, this band must be EPIC!

  • @lronPriest0fMetal, you have much to learn :)

  • For some reason, I find this song extremely sexy.

  • The "Dogs Of War" are corrupt politicians who who use their military might. It is Probably a reference to United States president Ronald Reagan, who was dealing in covert war with countries like Nicaragua contras and others.

  • @streetcat93 Over 6000 years of written history shows that 90% of all years involve a war, somewhere, between two peoples, for some reason. I think your scope is far too narrow. If I were to say what 'normal' is for human kind, I could not conclude peace to be normal... rather I could only conclude war to be our natural state.

I doubt the group (PF) is referring to one country, but rather a general state of mankind supported by historic facts.

    Regards,

  • is it wrong that im13 and LOVE Pink Floyd

  • "What's gonna happen to the arms industry when we realize that we're all one?"-bill hicks

  • wow u really must have no life all u seem to do is reply to people on a pinkfloyd video...

  • @XDawn117, Whoever you said that to, they obviously have a life...just not a very meaningful or productive one. :D

  • everyone thinks it is ok while they are doing good , but eventually the group that profits gets greedier and thus smaller , and the very ones who helped them to rise to power get cast aside

  • 4 people have no idea what music is.

  • @supra90turbo Well...quite a lot of Floyd fans agree that this is Pink Floyd's worst song. I myself don't much care for this song...but every now and then I get in the mood to listen to it. I go through little half-hour phases, so to speak.

  • Every day you wake to a new outlook, songs such as these fuel the fire.

today I feel love, and am not here, tomorrow this is the only place to be

  • who's sound is this? gilmour's?

  • Floyd music IS sooo In! everybodys doin' it!! Its sooo future isticTastic!!! Grooovy.!! MonEy!!!! Get Away!!!!

  • @kissmyconverse100 Get the fuck out.

  • @TheFacelessActivist Never would I say people are not entitled to their own opinions, every persons paradigm and it's praxis comes from a unique place of culture and experiences. Do you get it? Their structures of perception and paradigm, funny how they can blind us.. Would you want someone you love killed because of their perception of and the the way they relate to the world? It's foolish when people fight and/or kill one another over such things. I think you grossly misunderstood what I said.

  • uh yes i do...

if you think this is a pink floyd classic, you're deluded

  • this song dosnt suk how could u say that its a classic srry u dont know music

  • I love this song, Every line makes a point! "You can knock at any door, But wherever you go, you know they've been there before. Well winners can lose and things can get strained. But whatever you change, you know the dogs remain."

  • Good song and I am not a pink floyd fan

  • I'm a big pink floyd fan, but this song is terrible >_>

  • @Whiteyy191 r u crazy ??? jeeeeeez !

  • Dislike buttons should be disabled for pink floyd vidoes.

  • @pinkvintage007 - I lol'd. Completely agreed.

  • @pinkvintage007

i agree man. i was gonna say how are their 4 dislikes. thats absurd. i know someone always has to point that out but its unacceptable for pink floyd

  • @1Canadahockey1 I'm a girl actually haha. Some people just have no taste in music. I don't actually believe these people actually dislike this though. Because you cant be a Britney fan and know this song....so they wouldn't be able to navigate here. I just think people go around all day with no lives and click dislike. If they unmuted their volume, no way anyone could dislike this.

  • One of my top fav from PF

  • Someone answer for me please ... did pink floyd smoke weed as well or is it just the listeners? Cos i've heard many different things about this and im not sure what's true :P

  • @uptheironsfromlondon What bands from the 60's and 70's DIDN'T smoke pot/take other drugs?... I'm almost positive Floyd was no different from their musical peers =)

  • @uptheironsfromlondon

who cares. will that change your opinion of them?

  • @1Canadahockey1 Hell no, im totally for marijuana i was just wondering cos someone said to me 'all musical geniuses have taken a mind altering substance', so i was just testing the theory.

  • such an amazing album!!

  • A couple different meanings to dogs of war Hell hounds Flesh tearers liars and decievers dogs of war revolution animals dogs battlefield yelpers sheep terrorisors killer collies mega mutts one word one of pink floyd's best songs (:
  • One word!!!

  • music,,,, pushing the boundries of truth, perception and art ,,,, who would have thought,,,

  • the sax solo is fucking beast. I remember my brother and I were hot boxing, and we were listening to this song, and we just thought this sax solo was soo fucking awesome. I laugh every time i hear it now. Pink Floyd is the shit. I Bump them like I bump Wu-Tang!

  • @fonzen75 this song will scare the hell out of hoods possibly more than wu-tang. cause they might not know where it comes from, but any idiot can hear this is bad ass

  • The sax solo is funky!!!!

  • I don't care what anyone says, this is one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs. It also has probably the most badass lyric ever. "We all have a dark side, to say the least. But dealing in death is the nature of the beast."

  • Adorable, but it still leaves a great deal to be desired!!!

  • epic!

  • I just gave LDN15 the thumbs up. I tried 4 times, but it never registered. I guess he just aint politically correct enough for youtube

  • Underrated Pink Floyd album. I had my doubts before hearing it many years ago but the first time I played it in my car one early morning, I was pleasently surprised. It also got even better with every listen as well. This song is one of the best songs on the album. One of them.

  • I just Listened to planet rock on my sky box and i heard this song. First time to. Its preety good.

  • Great song. Would be awesome to have video by Storm Thorgerson. Thanks just the same.

  • 3 justin beiber fags were on this page.

  • The unofficial anthem of the Anglophone Legionnaires.

One world, it's a battleground. one world, we're gonna smash it down

Vive la morte, vive la guerre, vive la Legion Etrangere.

The world is fucked, long live those who know how to profit from it!

  • By far one of their best songs.

  • david gilmore is pure awesome.

  • Thanks for the post. Have to admit that I was somewhat apprehensive at the time about a Waters-less Pink Floyd, but I eventually gave this a chance. Glad I did.

  • @galaxyuno1 Same here. Before hearing this album many years ago it had two things going against it in my mind. No Roger Waters and the other reason was that it was released in 1987. (In my opinion, the late 80's had a lot of lame music even by those bands who were previously great before the late 80's.) I put the CD in my car one morning years ago and I was pleasently surprised how good it was.

  • dogs of war=planes in teh war

  • These lyrics are a poem that is timeless. And the heavy sound feels like I'm being marched on.

  • saw these guys live in 1987 at B.C Place stadium in British Columbia, Canada. What a show, i've never been so moved by anything in all my life. Roger Waters is a lyrical genius and David Gilmour has the most awsome guitar playing ability in the world bar none !! but look up Mateus Schaffer, he plays the best gilmour covers I've ever heard.........RIP Syd Barrett.......long live Floyd

  • A beautifully made song Pink Floyd never fails

  • cool song PF song

  • This is the song that got me listening to Pink Floyd.

  • the begining of the song looks like at he war of the world when the tripods attack the town with tom cruise !

  • @lilstol Tom Cruise's version of War Of the Worlds destroyed the story it was based on. If ever you've heard the Jeff Wayne musical, seen the 1952 Hollywood version, or read the unabridged H.G. Wells novel, you'd understand how much it was destroyed. Flashy special effects don't compensate for screwing with the heart of it.

  • @Mechknight73 sure it can, just look at ratings. flashy usually sells

  • @atheistnarutofan Maybe, but it doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. A certain Roman emperor introduced sending Christians to the lions to quote "give my people waht they want."

  • @Mechknight73 yeah, and it is still something taked about today. i think they succeeded in making it popular

  • This was the first Pink Floyd song I have ever heard.

  • @groovyhippyman ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i remeber my first PF song....another brick in the wall.........kind of obvious but who cares?

  • Watch old world secrets the omega project coded now and wake up before it is too late.

  • Calm down Atlas. By the way, happy Thursday gentlemen. I just flagged myself as spam... uh oh. Funny!

  • Why are you guys bickering over ideology? Kinda Ironic given the nature of this song. lol. Your both human, your bodies are made of the earth & what grows upon it, you both bleed & have the same basic needs & desires. Set your silly dichotomy creating ideas aside & recognize your relation to one another & treat one another with the respect you desire yourself & help one another out if you can... You both came to this page because of music, So who cares if you 2 see the world differently? MUSIC!!

  • too bad. hes the one who came in here and took an unmerited cheapshot on my faith by clumping Christianity in with all other religions like somehow they are all the same, than shedding a tear cause them "nasty religious wars" while failing to mention that athiests have killed more people in under a century than all religious wars combined via communism, nazism, and secularized government/education sytems

  • @AcceptablePsychosis Amen, Brother.

  • @Aractophragnus I second that!!!

  • @AcceptablePsychosis ya like he said quit ya bitchin

  • @AcceptablePsychosis

So... Your suggestion is that people shouldn't be entitled to their opinions?

Well... Gee... Something tells me you might be a muslim, or a socialist, or some other evil bastard, like the people who invented crappy customer support to keep people from fixing a product rather than just buying a new one... Which, means you have quite the unacceptable psychosis...

  • @TheFacelessActivist just because someone is muslim or socialist doesnt make them evil

  • @RogerWaters95

You're right, they could simply be plain stupid.

Not like mentally handicapped kind of stupid, I'm talking about a worse kind of stupid, the kind of flamboyant idiocy that congress always sports, the dogmatic, insane, mandate-waving, volunteer dumbassery that makes this world just about as bitter as the sweat on a dead man's balls. That kind of stupidity that rests within the margin on equivalence so that it lies as a mere opposition to evil!

    ...Still, could be that...

  • @WithTheFury

Thank you, you're a living example that makes my point so much more clear. Your rash prejudgment might make the world a worse place, but at least it brings contrast.

  • @TheFacelessActivist shut up dude ur a very ignorant person and therefore deserve no life so.... die

  • @TheFacelessActivist "Your rash prejudgment" make u a moron you yourself are a person who shouldnt even exist because u judge people of other religions and creeds for the meer fact that they are different so.... die... the world doesn't want people like you

  • @WithTheFury

All you respond with is senseless hatred. I got little to add to that. Hatred is, after all; for losers.

You have my sympathies, and over-optimistic as it may be. I do hope you get well.

    Sincerely.

  • @TheFacelessActivist ur bashing religions and ur saying that hes the one responding with hatred hahahaha ur a dummy i agree with the other dude go die

  • @XDawn117

Interesting, you remind me of my ancestors. But in their defense, they said it during the 1300's.

  • They do ot because it is their destiny, You cannot change what is, you can only spew words, but look inside and you will find the dog of war.

  • @AcceptablePsychosis All I wanna say is: EXCELLENT!

  • besser als jede live-performance des Stückes. einfach nur geil.

  • great song from a even greater album. it came out when i was a teenager, had it on tape first-wore it out then later got the cd, never cared much for there earlier stuff

  • actually this song is not that bad.. the album A Momentary lapse Of Reason is just.. TERRIBLE but this song and Sorrow are pretty good, actually.

  • From a PF standard, I find this to be one of their worst. However, if I were to generalize the standard and I had never heard their stuff before, I would say this track is pretty kick-ass! xD

  • ripnrobert needs to study history. Ego is the villain of history, not coin or faith.

  • what a bunch of geeks its good music thats it .............goof balls

  • "Ever heard 'The Dogs of War' ... on SHROOMS, man?" ;)

  • thats kindof a bleak outlook of floyd

  • I think this is one of his best songs. :]

  • This song always makes me mad and sad when I think of all the people of this world who have died because of the murderous bankers and religions, the Vatican more precisely. who want a one world entity of control. Damn them to eternal waste. Thx for vid

  • @ripnrobert . The Vatican = The house of Lucifer

  • blasphemy

  • go fuck a chicken

  • @swatchit101 Please give us a tutorial on how, exactly, to fuck a chicken. I'm not clear on bird anatomy and would appreciate the heads up on that one. Thanks.

  • @ripnrobert the total number of people who died due to religious strife couldnt hold a candle to the 100's of millions who died under darwin-inspired, athiest communism and atheist nazism. With their Godless mindset they killed more people in under a century than all religious wars in history combined.

  • @autocrat111 double plus good autocrat

  • sorry but atheism is just lack of belief in a god. Nazism and communism has a LOT more, and a lot of the nazis were apparently religious anyway. No one has killed lots of people (infact I doubt anyone has ever killed anyone) because they don't believe in a god. Yet it's happened uncountable times vice versa.

  • it is the subsequent belief that humans are just evolved animals that enables them enforce the most inhumane practices as law.. such as forced labor camps, tossing Jews in ovens, creating famine for population control, and killing entire families because one didnt agree

"just a lack of belief in God" as a westerner, means you are reversing 6000 years of ancestry, common values and genetic dispositions in favor of what... 60 years a belief in nothing and whos only belief is that you dont believe

  • hmm.Firstly atheism does not necessarily cause belief in evolution. For example there are religious people who believe in evo and their are atheists who don't (for example beleive this earth is some sort of experiment created by far superior aliens. Think matrix maybe. Also I have seen no evidence that evolution has inspired this 'population control' this generally just happens because one group of people hates another group of people. Quite often for territorial or religious/ cultural reasons.

  • If people are using evolution as an excuse to kill people then they are completely misunderstanding evolution. Firstly evo is a natural process. It does not involve a concious decision making process of who or what is fit to survive and reproduce. People who think evolution could be used as an excuse for 'ethnic cleansing' simple do not understand evo. If nothing else this illustrates the importance of educating people.

  • One of the main reasons for killing Jews was a religious reason, they were hated because they were believed responsible for Jesus' death, and also because they were stereotyped as money hording misers (it wouldn't have been to hard for the nazis to exagerate these factors and inspire hatred in people who didn't know better). Religion is hardly blame free, the bible itself condones the killing of various people and can be quite barbaric.

  • Also your last paragraph makes very little sense. Even if my ancestors for 6000 years believed in a god I fail to see why this means I should believe. During the greek times lighting was believed to have been created by zeus to punish people, should I still believe that now? Should I beleive that disease is cause by demons like they did in biblical times? No. So why should I believe in the god of my ancestors (besides for all you know my ancestors might have been pagan)

  • Also a lack of belief in something does not equal belief in nothing. You are implying that either I must beleive in god or nothing. How absurd. I 'believe' in a lot of things, like love, kindness, helping people etc

Finally I hope you don't think that by blaming belief in evo for attrocities like the holocaust you are hoping to disprove it. Unfortunately for you whether or not something exists has absolutely nothing to do with how pleasant it is or what it inspires in people.

  • Even if evolution WAS the sole cause of all genocides etc that have ever happened this would not and could not disprove evolution. There are plenty of unpleasant things in life and they will exist whether we like them or not. For me evolution is wonderful. I love it that all life on earth is related. If nothing else it increases our connection to nature and inspires me to care for the world around us and for both my human and non-human relations. :)

  • @dadeskr there is a difference between a person who sees another human as a creation of a loving God and one who sees another as animals that have evolved due to conflict (or anything else you mentioned)

athiesm removes the vital safety mechanism on how humans deal with eachother. a clear example being abortion. believers in God see the most innocent and vulnerable humans in existance, while athiests see an inconvenient heap of flesh with a heartbeat that hinders women from independence.

  • Even if there were a difference (I treat people with as much compassion as I can, the same as most other atheists and most religious people. I have come to see that kindness and caring for others has very little to do with religion) it wouldn't make evolution untrue. So what if evolution and atheism made people selfish gits and religion made them moral heroes, that would neither disprove evo or prove the existance of god.

  • You have a very poor understanding of evolution. Things don't evolve due to conflict. This implies everything is fighting everything else and it is only the winners who survive. If you look at nature you will see that most fights have a definate reason, animals rarely fight for the sake of fighting (unless in play). Evolution works simply by the organisms that are best suited to their environment being more likely to survive and pass those characteristics to the next generation and so on.

  • There are no animals going out and deliberately wiping out other animals, there are no battles to the death between species.

As for your final point even if atheism 'removes a vital safety mechanism' (with born humans I see NO evidence of this) it would not disprove atheism. Like I said before things can't be disproven by your dislike of them. Even if atheism turned us all into murderers and rapists that wouldn't prove the existance of god

  • Sure it would prove that its better for humanity if people believed in a god but that DOES NOT prove that god exists.

As for abortion views vary widely across religious and non religious people. It all comes down to when you think like begins. Personally I think that life begins once the fetus is aware (ie. can detect the world around it (the womb etc) and respond to what it can detect of the outside world. Or the point at which it could feel pain.

  • I am neither set for or against abortion, I think a lot depends on individual circumstances. I for one would never bring a child into the world if I though it would suffer. For people who have abortions this is often a very difficult choice. Its not like getting rid of an 'inconvinience' as you put it. Of course it should be the womans decision whether she want to have a baby, if pregnancy was 'forced upon' her then she has every right to terminate it.

  • Comment removed

  • At that point you are either denying the foetus life or completely ruining the mothers. As the foetus is not aware of anything it may as well have never existed so it will not suffer in anyway when it dies. The mother however will have her life ruined by actions that were beyond her control. Sure she could put it up for adoption but what if the child ends up with someone who abuses it, plus there are enough unwanted kids in the world already :(

  • yes i know everyone considers themselves compassionate. (i very rarely hear a person sitting around saying yea im a pretty worthless backstabbin sob). the issue is having a moral standard that is fixed and codified to endure the erosions of time as compared to having millions of personal moral standards all slightly or largely different from one another, but with only one absolute truth, which is that there is no absolute truth. Which would you consider better for the fabric of society?

  • It is irrelevant which is better really. I have never seen any evidence that religion or 'following a fixed moral standard' creates better people. The morals that are used in religion are invented by people, and many these days we would not consider moral. For example the bible advocates stoning children to death if they speak against their elders, nowadays we would consider that as child abuse. The morals of religion where written by the people who 'created' that religion.

  • Comment removed

  • And then of course even if beleif in a fixed moral code was best then what fixed code would you choose? There is no reason why the christian one is better than any other. Actually most religions have similar ideas in their moral code which would indicate that religion is in part built on standards of morality rather than vice versa (ie. most religions regardless of their beliefs regard murder as evil)

  • which shows that this idea was prevalent before the invention of that religion.

As for christianity it has only been around for about 6000 years, whereas humans have been around for 10s possible 100s of thousands of years. Even when we were most primitive we knew about living in a group and how to help each other, morality stems from there and as such is FAR older than religion.

  • Finally you seem to be implying that we should be encouraging beleif in something simply because it would be better for soceity if we beleived. That we should lie to ourselves and each other. This strikes me as absurd. First there is NO evidence that beleif in a god/ religion makes people more moral or benefits society, secondly it is just ridiculous to force belief in some thing that there is no evidence for (a sad day for logic, reasoning and science that would be).

  • Maybe the world will be a better place if I beleive in unicorns. But without any evidence of the existance of unicorns how can I possibly beleive in them? I don't believe in anything. I KNOW certain things exists (it's different) belief implies faith which implies lack of evidence.

  • As so they are just as likely to be at fault as any one elses morals. There is no evidence that any religious moraluties are the absolute truth nor that they can completely withstand the errosions of time. Morality changes. Often this is a good think. It is this evolution of morality that means we treat each other with more equality than we did 50-100 years ago. Religion whilst it can encourage morality can just as easily encourage immorality. 11 minutes ago

  • above comment should come after first comment, youtube posted it here for some reason. So the penultimate comment (not including this one) is the last.

  • Comment removed

  • i will continue to reply to only one of your comments and blissfully ignore the rest as they fade into unread obscurity

Their are only twelve true laws directly decreed by God himself... the 10 commandments in which cannot be found any fault.. and the commandments of Jesus, the simplest of commandments... treat others as yourself and love God with all your heart, in which there can be found no fault or harm. those Christians of the past whom you demonize did not follow these.

  • If so then I see very little point in debating with you. In order to have a proper debate you need to give a response to all points that are brought up. If you cannot do this I am not going to waste my time on you. The 10 commandments were thought up by people and if I wanted to I could think up faults in them as could other people. Also most of the10Cs ideas had been around before 10Cs. Jesus did not invent the idea of loving each other etc that idea was around for aeons before christianity.

  • There are examples of Jesus advocating things that are immoral. As for the 'golden' rule, Confuscious though up the same thing. It was NOT an idea unique to Jesus. Religious morals are invented by humans who then pretend they are sent from Gods in order to make them seem perfect and infallable.

I am not demonizing any Christians so I fail to see your point here.

Ok lets see if you can give me a proper reply. If not I shall bring this discussion to a close. I have better things to do than

  • debate with someone doesn't understand even the basic rules of debate. As for whether you read this or not, I don't really care, other people will read this and they will see that I gave a proper response to each of your comments. Whereas you seem to say the first thing that pops into your head.

  • yea cause you were there and you know or cause you read some horse-hockey on the internet or saw some tv show. you athiests have it so easy. having nothing to defend, so all you do is attack. so go right ahead, you have 6000 years of prominent history to pick apart monotheism...and id happily point out the flaws in your athiesm..but you have nothing..you have no ancestry you have no history.. you have no absolute values, you have no extra-existance on earth other than to spread disbelief in God

  • See now your just getting silly and defensive... Um its pretty obvious that the bible was written by people, there so were the 10cs the bible is full of errors that no all knowing god would make. Atheists don't need a reason to exist :) we exist simply because as of yet there is no proven evidence for any gods/ other dieties. As for no ancestory or history: as long as their have been believers there have been non beleivers. As for

  • having no absolute values,it is not the point of atheism to have absolutevalues. You can no more criticise lack of beleif in a god for not creating set moralvalues than you can lack of beleif in fairies. The very idea is absurd. 6000 years of history does NOT make something right. For many many years it was beleived that the earth was flat and that it was the centre of the universe. We now know that this is wrong.Just because people have beleived in God for 6000 years doesn't make them right.
