  • there is this hawk that lives near my house. i hear him screaming every day and when i look out he is soaring in a circle for a long time.

  • its so cool...so beutifulllll

    thank's (belgium-brussel)

  • Was that the 1972 gas powered, or the famous 1968 coal fire powered video camera you have there. Sounds sheet.

  • @chriskeenan1 LOL. It was a fuji finepix S5700 digital camera. Not a camcorder. I wanted pics but as the bird seemed to soar higher and higher i thought i'd experiment with the video mode. Considering that, i thought the result was ok! Ive got a Nikon D500 now. Thats a quality camera which gives far better results.

  • @taffwall Sorry mate, I was just having a wee mickey take. Your hawk looks in great condition, as for the camera work, it's absolutely fine. I'm just jealous coz you've got hawks and I don't lol. I would love a harris hawk, but I wouldn't have the time to look after it. I live in Cumbernauld near the falconary centre, so at least I can pop in there from time to time. Keep up the good work.

  • @chriskeenan1 No worries. Cheers for reply. Hope 1 day you will have time for a hawk. Its a wonderfull experience. The feeling you get when you release it free for the first time and it comes back is really special.

  • Nice to see! I`ve had a previous hawk soar to the point of almost specking out. Just need to train him to stoop!

  • Hold on this is Jason ???

  • @crosshawk58 He was with us. Its his permission, but its Dave's hawk.

  • Mine did the same thing the other day. Went over a mile away over 1000ft up out of sight, but worked his way back to me and had reward on the fist a few mins later after loosing sight of him. but thats imprints for you. Perfect weather conditions for it. great to see

  • Oh, this birds want some baggie under it, or at least lure.

  • @hex0bite Absolutely. Unfortunately we had no lure with us :(

  • how do you train her to soar my female hawk dont seem to do it she is about 5 months old now

  • Get on the 'international falconry forum' there is loads of advice on there for you. Conditions have to be right and it helps to start on a hill/mountain with a good breeze or thermal. Good luck

  • now thats how its done, great vid 5* from me, stay lucky big john.

  • Cheers John.

  • Hughyboy. The hawk belongs to a friend. It was not found, he bought it from a breeder as a young bird.

    Hope your uncle finds his.

  • if u did find it did u find it in wales plz tell the truth because i would do enything to get that bird back

  • hi my uncle lost his bird a month ago is that your bird or did u find it

  • did he come back?

  • We found him a short distance away sitting on a rooftop. He came back to the glove then. Dave didnt have a lure/dummy bunny with him that day otherwise i think he would have stooped for it.
