Well....do you really think over 40 years ago they had the technology to sound EXACTLY like the record? I have never hear anyone do it. This is one of my favorite songs-it sounds just like the record. Don't get me wrong-I love seeing the video. Totally live it isn't. It is excellent to see the footage, however they did it. When I was a teenager in the 90's, I preferred the oldies over the modern music. The station I listened to played this song as well as The Letter and Cry like a baby!. Didn't know who sang it though. fiddling around here, I came across this video. I had pretty much forgotten about the song, its how alex sings at the beginning "Honey I don't know much" that made my memories come back!! I was pleased to know its a box tops song! but now the oldies don't play this one. they play the other 2 alot!

I still have those clothes like Alex is wearing. I packed them away thinking that they'd look really funny 45 years later. Low rise bell bottom pants, 2 ring braided leather belt, muslim shirt. pretty funny. Cord jacket when it got cold. Song still sounds great.
