When your tapering yourself you should go with the grain(normal brushing pattern) to create a blend in your taper trust me it works i learned it from "da bartist" i cut my hair my self too and my tapers look sexy when i do that method and girls love it with 360 waves deadass

Not bad, bro. I've been cutting my own hair for like 8 or 9 years now, and I have some advice: I actually use a 3 way mirror to get a best angle on my sides. Also, on your tapers on the sides and the back, make sure to make levels your guards and just bump out the lines. I started out just doing it by eye the way you did, but thats how you get really inconsistent tapers - There is a barber on youtube called Cakenisrandy. He explains it really well. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work.

i line myself up wit a straight razor i mean its hard to do wit the back but it can be done also use the holder with that blade cuz u can easily cut yourself without it....also on the back u dnt have to go to high u can go low n fade from the bottom of your hair....i dnt even own n edger i just use the razor cuz its cleaner straight up dominican style.....but i did get some tips here aswell not a bad video

Hey NiceJob, Great video, tip: Left hand for Leftside & Right hand for Rightside... you were doing some kind of hand dance while cutting your hair. Look like you had to think really hard to make the right move. :0 Luv U anyway :)

@Duranone LMFAO!!! Both of my hands dont have the same coordination, lol. SO i use my strong hand when i cut the back of my head, lol. Im trying to practice using right for right & left for left, but its hard, lol.

@Edmundocast3 what do you mean "top" & "Bottom" of hair? To cut my hair into a even all around hair cut, i used a "00". I used the same level to tape up my hair. but your hair maybe different & you might have to use a higher number than i use.

Very good video and technique. A small critique...next time show the viewers where exactly your guards are or on what level you have your clippers in certain areas. of course we know know that the clippers are full (or heavy) up top and lower on the sides. General public may not know that though!
