There are many great writers and many great rock and roll artists out there who do not tell you about how they were speachless for years until they they were moved to write their next masterpiece. He told the interviewer,"none" The Beatles to him were just elevator muzak. Doesn't that seem a little self important for a guy whose biggest hit in almost 30 years was "Losing my Religion" which came in at only number 4?

And in all honesty, Kurt brought the punk scene to the mainstream and fucked it all up. He and Billy Joel Armstrong. Kurt realized this, and martyred himself for the sake of the music that was his religion. However, that was only the threshold of that mans problems.
