If you listen to films like Saving Private Ryan E.T. Flight Plan and many, many more that have sound in the mix that is placed on one of the left and right fronts as well as the split surrounds more or less at the same time with a slight differences, in each, but theres more or less the same sound that can be stripped away and sent to the middle.

I like many others thou I was using centre back surround as early as 1998 nearly full year before Star Wars episode 1 was selling the idea in selected cinemas with Dolbys modified Dolby CP45 into the SA10 Surround-EX. The matrix concept can be used to do a few different things with mix providing you know what to listen for in the first place.

If I wanted to trick the Dolby stereo 4.0 discrete mix into an overhead surround with Grand Canyon of the opening its not all that hard to do. I re-plug the centre front with the surround monaural as its 4.0 and I can get the helicopter to literally pass right overhead and then onto the rear surrounds!

I dont know whether to burst out laughing or what!? I thought it was complex wiring connection of matrix decoders active crossovers multiple amplifiers speakers. Well its not big deal my home has 17 direct JBL 5 JBL control 5 12 JBL control 1 and one JBL 4645 with one Eltax A-12R But it doesnt make me have 17.2 now does it!

you dont have a 11,2 system pecause you have 13 speakers you have a 2,1 system probebly . you can get a 11,2 system if you get 13 different signals fron you pc or whatever so you just have a stoneage 2.1 system DUMASS

honestly the only people impressed must be inbred degenerates. This is a 5.1 system at BEST and you've just wired in more speakers.

Surround sound deals wth CHANNELS. It's more involved than just running some fucking speakers behind you.

You've obviously never dealt with a true surround setup if you thing stereo sound with a couple extra speakers wired in is "11.3 surround" and currently the only thing on the market for less than 4 or 5 digits is 7.1 surround.

It's not "11.3" 

That would mean that you have 14 CHANNELS. You maybe have that many speakers but that does not make it an 11.3 surround system.

Currently I think the highest systems are 7.1 or 7.2

sounds stupid but scrapyards are full of speakers that careless people have chucked out as part of a system cos the CD bit broke so they chuck it all.. ive seen some brilliant stuff that still works..

its great to build speakers, to begin with i did the same, sticking shitty drivers from cheep low end hifi systems from argos in a random size box, i agree some of the drivers do look like they are from clock radios, and the subs are kinda tiny, for best results place in a location where the half wavelength of 30hz is equivelent to the distance bewteen 2 paralal walls

its more like a giant speaker box with multi channel output

dude i install high end audio systems for a living everything you did makes no sense save your money and start with one good piece and build from there or you can wire 12 clock radios together and call it an 11.1 system which of course theres no such format and post a video on youtube like its something your proud of..lol

Actually its because the refresh rate of the cell phone camera cant capture every movement in time, just like when you are filming on a cell phone camera and you suddenly move and it comes out in waves.
