  • raag yaman combinated with taal bhajani...very nice..i like it very much...if someone has any raag home also yaman please tell me thanks very much

  • Very soothing music. Bansuri has no equal in simplicity and also in rythm. But it is very difficult to get good Bansuri which has this wonderful sound in it. The Artist is talented.

  • I listen to this all through out the day over and over. It is so transcendental it keeps me balanced. I play the Bansuri, just got a brand new 31'' in the mail. Keep up the good work, hope to see more. Hare Krishna.

  • What is the difference between a bhajan and a dhun? is it in the tabla rythm? Both can be based on ragas, right?

  • Dhun is a hindi word for folk tune. Bhajan is a devotional song in prayer of God. This one is a rather famous prayer in Marathi language (the language of the Western Indian state of Maharashtra) in praise of Lord Ganesh.

  • Thanks. So many of the terms used in classical indian music overlap to some degree. I still can't quite grasp what a raga truly is. I may be looking too deep into it. No matter how much I read or listen, it seems there is a grey area in my understanding.

  • a raga is a series of notes arranged in an ascending and descending order. Some notes are ommitted in either ascent or descent. Some notes are played with more strength than others. As long as you follow the order of the notes and the strength of the notes you are playing the raga.

  • "Tuja maagato mee ata", nicely played.

  • Excellent bhajan rendered very well...

  • Wonderful. It is so soothing and melodious.

  • This is lovely and superb! Really enjoyed. I enjoy dhuns and bhajans. Would love to see and hear more!

    Cheers!
