This is an incredible arrangement. I too have completed the games countless times on my Genesis, but that doesn't mean this isn't one badass rendition. I've never completed several of the games I cover music from, and that doesn't make the music any less awesome. Well done ElectricPopTart.

O_o Well, I've played the game a couple times before... I'm a casual Sonic fan really, dabbling in a handful of Sonic games but playing the old classics the most (even then, not ever beating a game). Part of the reason is that I never owned any SEGA systems growing up.

Well I want to try and buy Sonic games at some point, probably the classic collection(s) they have released for Gamecube since I have that system. Anyway, I was just trying to point out that even not having beaten Sonic 3, it is not like I therefore cannot know how the song sounds. Obviously I've had to hear the song somewhere before to know it exists and to try and make an arrangement of it, and I used YouTube for that.

If you get it for Gamecube it still doesn't count. A true Sonic fan would get it for Genesis, it isn't liek Genesis's are expensive or hard to find. Also you have to experience the boss fight to understand the emotions and feelings of the compisition to properly make an arrangement.

You do not need to experience a video game song straight from its original source in order to know how it really goes. All you need is ears. It makes no sense to think that I will only be able to hear certain things I couldn't hear before if I listen to the song in-game...

what exactly does beating sonic 3 have to do with you judging how the song sounds like, really? the songs from the original and from the gamecube collection sounds the same, what i find whats slightly different from the two are the sound effects when you attack some enemies on the gamecube version. but anyway, why does electricpop have to buy the genesis and sonic 3? and from the looks of it, he has shown it.

2. Use Download Helper to download this video

3. Go to Winamp preferences, go to Plug-ins, go to Output, select Disk Writer and configure it to output to where you can find a .wav file

4. Use iTunes to convert this .wav to .mp3

You can do this for every Youtube video.

Also, you can download the real music file from Sonic 3 and listen to it using Winamp and Chipamp.
