  • wow, so much debate over a simple answer. I have Cystic Fibrosis and my case is severe. Do I wish that I didn't have it? Absolutely, but is it my parent's fault? No. It's genetics fault. Now, it depends on the severity of the case...you won't always be in excruciating pain so you need to recheck the facts. However, we are living breathing proof that miracles do happen. Gosh, just be appreciative of your breath and stop wasting on petty arguments please.

  • Some people just need to think about what they say to some people. I am a mother of a child with CF. I have three kids and my middle child is the one with CF. My youngest was already born before we found out that she had CF. We had no family history. I love this commercial..

  • I feel it some times!!!!

  • Awesome video. truly remarkable.

  • im going to cry. i have this disease and that is how i feel. like im drowning slowly.

  • Wow, this commercial is the best that I've seen telling how it feels to live with cf. What a great commercial.

  • I think this video is very informative. Anyone dealing with cf can definately relate to it. If you don't have cf it gives you a little bit of an idea of what it is like.

  • thats cool how it was firmed underwater , im guessingh it was jsut here underwater ? not all the other stuff and not the doctor ?

  • Wonderful video! I have CF and I think it's very accurate. It's awesome how you filmed it!

  • these kind of adverts will make ppl wiv CF or family membeers of ppl with it worry far 2 much !! My 1 month old sister has just been diagnosed with this condition and i dnt feel its rite 2 advertise it like this 4 ppl 2 worry a lot...yes its life threatenin but so is asthma witch i hav gt and epilepsy witch my mum has and ppl dat no daii hav those illnesssz dnt want 2 worry daii wnt 2 lk on da bright side of fingsz...agreed ???

  • @baby0love100 well first i would like you to know that it was very hard to read this response but luckily i managed to. but once your 1 month old sister gets older, you will find out that it's really a terrible disease, i have cystic fibrosis and i am 15, i am in the hospital right now for the third time his year already, i usually stay for about a month or so each visit, it is a huge deal and shouldn't be taken lightly. most people with cf are lucky to live to 30 years old with a moderate to

  • @baby0love100 severe case, it is nothing like asthma and the fact that you compared it to that shows how little you know. take your ignorant, misspelled comments somewhere else thank you :)

  • @theprivateer83 With respect that is a very naiive response

  • @1katiesam If you bring a child into the world knowing full well that they're going to live a life of excruciation pain and suffering, does that make you self-serving or just plain heartless?

  • @Delosian I think if you judge people without first having walked in their shoes, THAT makes you both self-serving AND heartless

  • @Delosian

but you don't know, yes there are prenatal tests that you can do, but even still they only give you a probability. i was born with CF, and my parents had no idea what it was. my baby cousin was also given a 50% chance of having it (since the gene was on both sides of the family) and she doesn't have it, so before you assume people do this to their children on purpose, learn more about it.

  • @Delosian my daughter has C.F and neither my husband or I knew we were carriers of this horrible disease until she was diagnosed. Prenatal screening doesnt always work because C.F can hide and they cant always find the defects. I did have my tubes tied afterward so we did not do this to another child. However your post is a very un-educated one. Most people who have children with C.F never know until its too late, and they get to watch their children die slowly...............

  • @Delosian There's no way for you to know a child has CF until they are actually born... And I have CF it's definitely enough pain and suffering but life's what you make of it and there's a lot of laughter and happiness in between the bad times...

  • @bmcguire7 You can't know the child will have CF, but you can be tested for certain types of mutations. However, this is not 100% because there are so many types of mutations you can never know for sure. I have CF too and I understand what you mean.

  • @theprivateer83 That isn';t a very well thought out comment, you are suggesting prenatal screening but how would that PREVENT CF. What would you do with children who were found to have CF in prenatal scans, abort them?? That is not a cure, nor is it ethical.

  • @theprivateer83 I can't believe you even just said that. So you are basically saying if my parents had known about it and chose not to conceived I'd not have CF...but then I'd also not be here. Try again...

  • @theprivateer83 I am having a very heated debate on Facebook about just this topic. I agree with you that knowingly playing the genetic odds with CF is tantamount to child abuse and neglect. That being said those that are arguing with me say that it is ok to bring a child into this world with CF, and seem to suggest that just allowing this child into the world is doing them a favor and is a blessing. I call bull shit. You wouldn't believe the nasty things I have been called.

  • @theprivateer83 . Hmmmm, so pre-screening and if the child has CF then what?? Abort the child because the parents decided not to screen themselves to see if they were carriers?? But wait, what if the parents knew they were carriers but desperately wanted a child of there own. Let me guess, your response would be to have them adopt and get over not having one of "their own".. And bye the way, do you yourself personally have CF or is it you KNOW someone with it??

  • @drewphilip777 Drew, you have no idea what you are talking about. Do you have a genetic disease? People who deliberately bear children with a high probability of untreatable genetic disease are child abusers.

  • @theprivateer83 This is false.

  • WOW!

  • Ok, so the clothing they all wore, plus the sheets on the bed etc all had ball bearings in them to keep them down, the papers were simply allowed to 'settle' and maximum care was taken not to create ripples in the water. The tree you see outside the window was a branch cut from a tree outside and anchored with bricks!! The young lady you see spent an hour in the water at a time and we were only constrained by how cold she got!

  • hahahha they must have! it still confuses me! :D

  • this is incredible(: i have CF and this commercial really affects me. I love it. Awesome job. I can't believe it was really filmed underwater. how was everything not floating around and like wet. The papers i mean.

  • @lauramarieeeex3 they must have like glued everything ddown.. or nailed it

  • @lauramarieeeex3 it really affected me too. i like it. and it is true too..

  • Thank you. We were lucky enough to have assistance from Lowe Worldwide to make this amazing video. We sank a 'hospital room' into a local school pool for the filming. Our major issue is getting free air time for it!

  • very, VERY GOOD!
