How about no more foreign aid until unemployment is under 5% America First!! As for those blaming the unemployed for the situation, you really are as dumb as the powers that be believe you are and in fact they count on your stupidity you haven't let them down
@dale22rb Yeah, because I'd rather work my ass off for longer hours than I did before my layoff looking for work and advocating and not getting paid a dime for it than work a real job. Because the videos I put together aren't hard work at all, nah... I spend all my time sleeping on the sofa and watching TV.
Realize those with a job do not believe there is a problem. Unemployment surveys are not counting the 99ers. If UI was extended the truth would be unvailed and who ever is benifiting from saying the economy is getting better would then lose. This is a class war. Wake up.
Novi Michigan, Man shoots himself but not before killing his wife and two sons. Reasons was man and wife unemployed (middle class) nice house, nice car, business, and then RUBBLE.
Both the DEMS and the GOP are beholden to corporate America and the banks. No matter who controls congress and the presidency, until they stop outsourcing jobs, this will only get worse either way. The banks could have EASILY converted all those ARM loans to conventional fixed rate mortgages with a lower APR, but they chose to foreclose and ruin the housing market instead. DEMS or GOP, makes no difference if the wealthiest 2%, the bankers, and the large corporations keep screwing us.
Every time a democrat gets in this is the result! Before you berate my statement I am unemployed as well, part of the Obama change. Clinton put me out of work as well as Carter. I hate liberal mentality!
@stetsonwalker Hey man, if there was a Republican speaking out for the unemployed rather than calling them lazy drug addicts, they'd be in my shout outs as well.
@concernedinKY Here is the difference, when a conservative is in he opens the market for me to get a decent job. When the liberals are in they shut down the jobs and give me a $350.00 a week handout. I do not want liberal handouts. I want no more spending or bailouts. Go ahead take the handout you give me every week as well! I want to go to work. I want to get a job, quit tying the hands of business and get out of the way so I can get back to work!
@stetsonwalker Well, they have control of the House now, let's see what they'll do about job creation. But until that happens, people need help right now, it's too late already for too many and their first order of business was to be repealing something that doesn't even go into effect for a few more years. That doesn't bode well from where I'm sitting.
@stetsonwalker Oh, and another accomplishment under Clinton,
"President Clinton signed into law the largest deficit reduction plan in history, resulting in over $600 billion in deficit reduction. The deficit went down for 3 years in a row for the first time since Harry Truman was president."
UI is not a handout stetson. We're taxed while we work, and we're also taxed by the IRS and State on the weekly stipend we received! When we spend that little money, we pay more taxes to live..
"Under President Clinton's leadership, almost 6 million new jobs were created in the first two years of his Administration -- an average of 250,000 new jobs every month.
In 1994, the economy had the lowest combination of unemployment and inflation in 25 years.
As part of the 1993 Economic Plan, President Clinton cut taxes on 15 million low-income families and made tax cuts available to 90 percent of small businesses, while raising taxes on just 1.2 percent of the wealthiest taxpayers..."
