Does anyone know who made the retracts and wheels ?
Im going to buy the Equinox 1/4 scale kit this winter but before I do I need to make sure I can get all the essential gear... the video was great, the plane looked, flew and sounded great... good job guys.
This thing is badass. That 3W really sounds good, second IMO to a Moki perhaps. I like those low passes, thats where a jug belongs. I can see the quarter scale British farmers shaking their fists!
Very very nice plane. Would be great if someone could let me know if there is a build thread for this beauty. Also would like to modify my 26cc P47 1.8m for cooling cowl flaps connected to a servo ?? Any ideas? Manny keep on flying ans some more clips would be splendid
There some visually wonderful rc warbirds around and your plane certainly has all of that, but what sets it apart is that sound, - as real as can get! Perhaps you might be thinking of building a P 51 or a Spitfire around another of those engines??? I'll watch this space. Thanks for posting
I saw it fly several times this weekend. It is a 2-stroke flat 4, and is actually very quiet. Surprisingly quiet actually. Saw him have a bad landing and tear out one of the gear on Sunday, I think. He beat it back in shape on a truck bumper, and was back flying! The vids and pics do this plane no justice, it's unreal.
By the way, the 'new' Airfix kit is the old PM kit.. not too bad, but if you want the proper stuff, spend a bit more money and buy the Trumpeter kit.. :)
Bad azz warbird, beautiful day, sweet airfield, it doesn't get any beter than that!

I have to say very fast, I like your taste in war birds. all though true scale is
126" 1/4 scale not 128"........ and a radial would of been nice.
But all that being said VERY NICE PLANE......

Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Just curious to why you took off and landed on the grass and didn't use the runway next to it? great job!
avalanchewholesaleco 2 years ago
its easier to keep the plane straight on grass
for take off and landing plus the paved runway is not long enough for landing
it takes to long to slow down
70 ponds and no brakes
and thank you for your comment

This totally awesome. I love your plane how long is your flight time with that Beast motor?
merlinengines 3 years ago
flight time is about 10 min then you start thinking about landing
you dont want 2 get 2 low on gas
its not that unusual to make more than one landing attempt
in other words, go around again
it holds about half gallon of gas

holy crap that thing is movin!!!!
