I hope someday a Mario RPG album or perhaps Paper Mario album is done. Truly awesome songs in those games. Especially the intro theme of Mario RPG and the Koopa Bros. battle from Paper Mario as well as the other throwback tunes from SMB3 they used in there.

Just downloaded this, it really kicks ass. I don't think there was a single song I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Although Pickin' the Fleas Out and Bramble Reprise are my personal favorites.

I also can't get over how awesome it is that David Wise, Grant Kirkhope, and Robin Beanland all fucking remixed a song. THAT is kickass.

DKC 2 was one of the best games I ever played on the Snes along Terranigma,Secret of Mana/Evermore, Illusion of Gaia,Prince of Persia,Metroid and Yoshi's Island.

The protagonists, the dark piratish theme, and especially the orchestrated music made me really enjoying this piece of epicness,no matter it was terribly hard.

I can't thank you enough for reviving my memories to times when games were made out of fun and less out getting so much money as far as possible(Ubisoft). Hope to see more soon.

I e-mailed David to let him know we were doing this project, and asked if he would honor us by contributing a track himself. His initial response was something along the lines of "perhaps, if I have time." I sent him a followup e-mail a few weeks later, to which his response was "I've got a pretty solid work-in-progress going. Oh, and it's going to feature live guitars by Grant Kirkhope and Robin Beanland."
