@pronoobs3 - I don't care how old you are. That still makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever. And for someone who clearly has no idea what they're taking about, you really have no business calling anyone a retard.
@Dark1cometh He's right, I've used macs all through school and you can't. PCs are just better man, get used to the fact. Sorry you are losing sleep over this.
OK, seriously, Im only 12, get over with it. Stop hating on me, I posted this comment like 4 months ago. BTW, you misunderstanded me, first of all, whoever said Intel i7 is a graphics card, you are one fucking retard. Second of all, by multitask, I meant it can't have a app opened while another app is opened beside it. There is a function where you can switch apps, like the iPad, you have to scroll right or left, and you are on another app. Obvious. I did some research.

@saucyman666 'Secure'...if you're not kidding, you are seriously deluded. I'll tell you from PERSONAL experience (on my Macs, since the 80's), I've NEVER - E-V-E-R had a virus, trojan, etc - and, I'm not a 'saint' when it comes to downloading.
On the flip-side, someone I know who's 'Win-doze' (and goes o some places I do) has TONS of that. Even those 'anti-virus' things in MSLand are more than likely going to give you something.
@aaronhanak Macintosh has never tried to pass off a stolen product as original. They may say new feature for Mac OS, but they don't just take from everywhere and say it's 100% original. Because they always execute it in their own way, with their own code written from the ground up. And the advantage to having it on a Mac is better support, consistent environment, and some others that don't fit in this comment.
@rifall Steve Jobs bought FreeBSD from NeXT in 1999; he bought the kernel, he bought their ideas, he bought their software, but not their philosophy. In other words, nothing Mac puts out is original. That's weird because they say that they are the leaders in new tech and software, when in fact they just buy smaller companies and take whatever they have.
@aaronhanak Uh, dude, Jobs ran NeXT. They didn't claim anything to the kernel. They claim the way they use the kernel. They claim what they put over the kernel. They claim the environment that they build. FUCKING DUMBASS.
Macintosh was out before NeXT even existed. It had its own Kernel until Mac OSX which openly admits to using Darwin UNIX. They didn't claim to make it. NeXT brought in the great GUI ideas, not claiming any rights to BSD or kernel.
I only use windows, but bill gates has made his fortune riding on the back of other peoples work and ideas. Sure he might've have been one of the original guys and first to capitalize on it...but when it mattered, he started using other peoples ideas and work. I mean hell, all his shits built on a modded lock down and bloated version of linux anyways
Both operating systems are great! It just depends on what you want to use them for, END OF DISCUSSION. God why do people have to drag out an argument when they know that Apple and Microsoft's target audience slowly became more and more different as they progressed...
Hah! Bill is avoiding to comment on OS X Tiger's Spotlight search and Dashboard widgets which were both released in 2005 as part of Mac OS X Tiger. Spotlight is much better than Windows Search which is built in to the start menu, whereby Spotlight can even use your default browser's search engine, like Bing, to search anything you key in to it.
As for my sister who's a complete moron, the same cannot be said therefore she got a Mac which is much more suited for people who don't know how to avoid getting a shit load of viruses, corruptions, toolbars etc...
Yeah, one day I was just like her and used to buy into all of Mac ads and stupid claims.
Now that I've grown up and learnt computer programming, how to build a PC, how to maintain a PC, how to run software etc... I realised that Apple is 99% advertising and nothing special but simply an overpriced PC (uses Intel's PowerPC x86/x64 processors with PC graphics) with a bunch of ridiculous claims that people gladly buy into.
I'd prefer to buy a flexible solution rather than spend on a standard iMac... and Instead of investing many thousands into a top spec iMac pro (which is fairly flexible), I could spend half as much and build an even higher spec PC. Then I could go into bios and overclock the tits off it. I gotta admit that I like the style and originality of Macs, but I'm more conscientious of performance and flexibility than mere aesthetics.
@nxchannel Thanks, but you don't need luck. Just a good knowledge of your CPU's specs and safe voltage and temp ranges. A good cooling solution also helps.
I'm running a constant 3.8GHz on my i7 950 (3.07 GHz stock) with virtually standard VCORE and CPU PLL voltages. Plus, it runs only 4 deg hotter than the stock config (which is still 62 deg under the rated TJ Max). Results of burn in prove that it is stable as a rock!.. even more stable than before I overclocked it.
@scrfce123 You certainly deserved giant hardwares like you described but nobody here talks about hardwares, nor about voltages. All here is just about software. You know what the software is and how important its roll could be? Just for instance, go on and install Linux yourself to find out the differences between how a proper software can run better with any hardware in comparison to a MS crap that runs with 99.98THz on a i999 CPU...
@nxchannel I run Fedora on a Virtual machine - so I am familiar with Linux's low overhead... but a well maintained Win 7 installation can run just as sweetly as OS-X and Linux. Either way, any performance degradation that Win 7 may attribute is virtually a non-issue for a current PC.
I like Linux, but it doesn't have anywhere near the quality/quantity of applications that Windows does - since most of the apps are either open source or freeware. Plus, it doesn't support Direct X!
@scrfce123 I'm a sound engineer and I record a lot as well as in studio. During the time I ran Win (XP, Vista to 7) I never satisfied because of constant errors, blue screen, crash downs, hangings etc. I lost my works so many times, even though I had great hardwares running with Win. Since I'm on Mac I still haven't experienced any of what I had before. I use a lots of preamps and other hardwares synched to Mac and I must admit that it really works! Same thing never worked on Win though.
@nxchannel In that case, I can certainly understand why you hate Windows. That said, BSOD usually has a lot to do with improper hardware configs. My rig was fairly unstable when I first built it too and I had to really tweak the RAM profile to get it running consistently. It hasn't crashed on me since. Who built your Win PC's?
As for the preamps, we're talking about analog, standalone devices, yes? How did they connect to your machine? Stereo, RCA or SPDIF?
@scrfce123 I'm working at the university. There I'm not allowed to build any PCs because they only take care of this matter. As with preamps, some are connected via SPDIF but most stereo. It's actually different because there are lots of PCs and preamps there. In recording studios we're still running XP because of Pro Tools old version (they probably haven't enough money to upgrade) but in some production studios we use Macs with Logic. At home I only have Mac connected via stereo.
Listen everyone this is very important.A person was killed in 1996.Now last week this dead man haunted and killed two people in their homes. The dead man can kill you too in your home;however if you download files from my videos you can save yourself.Few people downloaded my files and they were not haunted or killed. They saved themselves by downloading my files. So better download the file from my video or you can be haunted and killed by the dead man.Download software from my Youtube channel
Apple is nice, but Windows still is dominant and has a over 90% of market share simply because it's easier to use and it's much cheaper. You can find a Laptop running Windows 7 for $300! The cheapest Apple Mac is at least $1500.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Mac isn't as good as Windows, yes it is more reliable, but windows can run more programs, multi task, and have more features. Mac cannot Multi task, only one application can be opened at a time. Whereas Windows can open over 50. Windows uses Intel i7 while Mac uses OS X. Intel i7 can support nVidia Geforce graphics, whereas Mac cannot. Apple does release things in very good quality, not to mention a very nice build, but that's not the point. It's not about what it looks like, it's what it can do
@pronoobs3 Wake up kid. Even MacBook Air has i7 these days. Any application in Windows or Linux can be run on any intel Macs. The days of platform dependence has pretty much gone away. You can install Windows/Linux on a Mac as a second or even 3rd OS. Or run with VMs and have all 3 major platforms co-exist under OS X. It's just software. Anyways, do a little search and read. If too lazy to read, search on youtube. Time to update yourself.
@Dark1cometh Surely you're being sarcastic, right? Nobody could possibly be so much of a tool to buy a computer at 3 times the price of a better running computer just because it looks shiny, right?
@Dark1cometh the Reporter stopped talking when he realised that bill gates knows really wat computer is..! the other side steve job is just a business man who doesnt have any of his own idea, even """mac is PRODUCT of STEVE WOZNIAk Not STEVE JOB""" for your kind information..!
@Dark1cometh Everyone that replied to me... Eh... over 20 lol What I meant of Mac cannot multitask, I meant, you cant have 2 things open on the same screen at the same time. Windows You can have a Internet for example minimized, and then a Half screen game on the other side minimized. Mac cannot do that, you must switch between the screens. Also, Intel i7 cannot support nVidia on Mac operating systems unless it is factory modified. Unlike the ones you buy at like futureshop or something.
@pronoobs3 mac has a simple program called bootcamp that alows you to run multiple operating systems including windows then it can support all that other stuff
@pronoobs3 Okay, I stand corrected. Maybe you really ARE as clueless as you sound. Just keep breathing in and out, stop licking them windows and stay away from discussions about computers, and you'll be fine. Good luck kid.
@pronoobs3 lol how old are you?? because you must be too old or too young to know NOTHING about computers so... if my calculations are current you must be under 5 or over 70 years old :)
@pronoobs3 1. The iPad and iPhone and iPodTouch cant multi task, the MacBooks can, i had 1000 text edit documents open at one time! (TextEdit is just Windows Notepad!)
@pronoobs3 you make me laugh... comparing i7 to mac os :P... windows is as good your computer is... and yes mac can multi task.. you are severely confused
@pronoobs3 K windows and osx both have their pros and cons.. and i dont mind u having ur own opinion on which is better but ur arguments are fucking dumb and make no fucking sence
@pronoobs3 What are you talking about intel i7 is not an operating system, mac os x is. Intel i7 is the cpu and as you know Macs also have intel chips including the intel i7 cpu. Macs support both nvidia and ATI Graphics cards. Macs have Intel i3,i5, and i7 cpus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@pronoobs3 dude mac OSX isn't a proccesor plus, macs are built to work hard on and not play around and wasting time. last, you can multitask on mac. HAVE you ever used one??? I can have all my apps running and it still runs fast.
@pronoobs3 Mac also uses Intel i5 & i7. Sooooo, your point is..? And on my Intel Quad core i5 iMac with 8GB of RAM I can practically all apps on my machine with no lag. Again, your full of shit, and the only point your making is how retarded you truly are.
@pronoobs3 my mac can multi task many times over.....i can listen to music, while burning cd's, while editing movies while wanking all at the same time.....open 2 windows on a pc and you get spam alerts !!
@pronoobs3 Yes, you're right! Actually MS is exactly looking for people like you to keep copying and not even being able to improve that copy a little bit! Just keep your crap...
@pronoobs3 you are so stupid windows should die if you open 50 programs. And mac os x (with the same hardware) can run more than 50 programs.I have opened 400 folders in 10 seconds this is how good mac os x are and your windows shold became a blue screen if you do that. And yes my mac book pro have a intel i7 processor. You are a stupid nerd go to wikipedia ;) mac os x is the best operating system and were it all times. The oldest mac os x version is much better and faster than the new windows 7.
@pronoobs3 You can multitask on OS X, OS X is not a processor, it is an operating system, and all of the graphics card and processor features you mentioned ARE available with a Mac. You can also run Windows on a Mac, sometimes faster than on a Windows machine.
@pronoobs3 LOL you have no idea what your talking about, do you? get your basic facts right... Mac has been running on intel sinve 06 i believe. And..yes. It can multitask........whens the last time you saw a mac? Even the FIRST version in 1984 could
Why do people think Vista is bad? They upgraded when it was completly new and switched back to XP, after six months there were no problem at all. Dont blame Microsoft, its the third party software developers that were lazy, not MSFT. And Second, some people thinks its cool to flame products over the Internet.
@MrTorrHumor It's also the fact that it made some fundamental changes that took some adapting, like the changes to user profiles, UAC and more significantly the loss of 16bit application support. It would take time for developers to adapt to these changes and inevitably lead to some instability on older applications. But by the time they do adapt people had already dismissed Vista. Thankfully 7 wasn't such a great leap and developers had caught up with the concepts of Vista by then.
i like going to the apple site and pricing the mac pro's (€2:500) and then sourcing pc parts for the same price and seeing what an utter monster of a pc i could build for the same amount of money.
Actually , Once make benchmarks and run apps , u will see which is better.
Second things is , macs are more reliable .
Each major OS upgrade costs only $30 (where u get more features than "ultimate" edition of windows) .
Build Quality is very nice . other pc batteries need to be replaced after 330 complete charge cycles or so where mac batteries need 1000 charges to drain out . ($100 spent on each battery placement on both).
So when at the end u may find difference of $100 vs mac
@cdnml ok, firstly most applications benchmark higher on Win 7 than OSX 10.6, particularly in 3D rendering benchmarks, OSX doesn't support a lot of proprietary API's from video card manufacturers. As for build quality, not even the Mac pro chassis comes close to my Cooler Master HAF, or Lian Li X2000 or Corsair Obsidian and especially not a Thermaltake Level 10. To name just a few. And i wont even begin with the cheap component inside, needless to say the SSD's they use are hardly OCZ Vertex3's
@RedCatalyst Im sending this comment on a Mac but I have more pc's and I use bootcamp loads on my mac and also i use virtual box a lot is that ok? Thought so peace bruv.... Yep dats rite im on coke =D=D=D!!!!!
"We have twice as many applications because of how we reach out to other software companies.." Mmm I like that, no mention of the bullying of other software companies to have things 'Windows Ready' or sink into oblivion, or the paranoid refusal to allow licensing for Direct X. Gates is a tool and a liar.
i have an alienware with 32gb of ram and over 5.00 ghz with overclocking! i have a 1080p 18 inch sceen! its the alienware m18x! it poos all over any mac! and it is proven to be the best gaming computer there is! im runnign windows 7! better than any mac out there...
@86123maxxi Pixar doesn't use as many Mac's as you think. The propitiatory software they developed, RenderMan Server, runs on Linux clusters. Most of the workstations might be Macs but surprisingly most of their production work is done in Avid MC and Autodesk rather than Final Cut.
@IanBply1 clearly you don't know much about computer or the history of them so I won't make you look to bad. Microsoft started in 1974 creating the first computer language program written for a personal computer and was shipped out 1975. Apple didn't get started till about 1977 and their "first computer" you are referring to was the Apple 1 witch had Microsoft code written into it, not to mention apple completely stole the idea of the mouse from Xerox.
@deecheezy Microsoft made BASIC work on the Altair in 1975. Technically, BASIC was created in 1964 at Dartmouth College. Microsoft ported floating point BASIC to work on home computers like the Apple 1 and later Apple II. The mouse was licensed by Apple from Doug Engelbart who invented it before Xerox PARC started using the mouse.
The first "computer" was built back in the Roman days. You might want to look up the definition of what a "computer" is, because it doesn't need to include electricity.
What you are talking about is the first user-oriented computer. There is a complete difference there. It was, essentially, what Apple does to this day. Dumb down something so morons can use it.
hell I can point out at least 6 graphical changes that Linux has been using for10 years that windows is introducing in Windows 7,. Microsoft and bill gates have always been, and always will be,. thieves
@996Ramirez what he's saying is actually true. i'm a Mac and Windows user and i love both OSs. but from past experience, such as asking my school friends and teachers "would you upgrade to a Mac if you had the chance?", 9/10 of them replied "yes". and i've asked alot of people. it's just because Macs are so expensive that people rip on them, just because they can't afford a Mac for themselves. it's just the truth. if Macs were free, everyone would love them, that's a fact.
@ryanbinrichard not true at all. macs are extremely limited on how you can use them. Most all macs operating system are based on and built off of pc operating systems. Microsoft has even assisted Apple on certain programs they have
@BeauIXI Every windows person i know likes Windows, Mac isn't even a big OS, I mean i know hundreds of people with computers, nobody uses Macs, big companies do not use Macs.
@BeauIXI Upgrade to what? A Mac? That's a downgrade...a downgrade you have to pay for...That's like selling your car and topping up cash to what you got for the car and buying a tricycle that has a Mercedes sticker on it...
@BeauIXI Honestly I doubt it cause I was gifted a mac from parents couldnt use it. 90% of games crashed and school and work used different file types. Anyways since macs are so high in demand it only took 6 months to sell for 1/4 of the original price. As for the comment about people not having cash to upgrade no people dont want to pay 200% retail on items it dumb. But fact is pcs are compatible and cheaper why pay more for less.
@BeauIXI Yes the people whom are aware of upgrading capabilitiyes are most likely using a Windows OS. The same people are not missing enything and love theyr PC. They have the money ( for the parts ), time ( to select the parts) and knowledge (to build the PC or just Upgrade its parts ).
Your speaking of Upgrades, yes?
Nice to read positive comments on youtube every once a while
@Andrrtaker It's a little bit of a myth that you can't upgrade a mac. On a MacBook, for example, you CAN upgrade memory and hard drive yourself... What is the percentage of people upgrading something else on their laptop? And, it's so much pain to move your data to a new hard drive on Windows you will hardly ever dare to do that unless it becomes unbearably tight. On the Mac it takes about 5 minutes of interaction with the user.
@86rrz touche, but Its a myth that you CANT get viruses etc on a mac in a same way.
Sorry I´m not trying to troll, but are you speaking of a normal home computer or a laptop, when you sayed "move your data to a new hard drive on Windows "... I can do that in 5minutes on my PC O.o.
I have bought after using my PC a new 1tb hard drive that I installed in my PC
If you spoked about upgrading a 3party windows laptop then google please and you will see that it is posible and surely more than app...
@BeauIXI really? what should we do pay 3 times for same quality?
for the example with 200 euro you can buy a decent laptop with a 250 GB hard, with 250 euro you can buy a decent 32GB ipod touch
Hmmm, am i missing something?
Let me point, if u wanna buy the same laptop but as a macbook, you will pay something like 700-800 euro, money with which you would buy a far better laptop (and i mean way much better 1)
PC-Laptop buyers know the difference between DELL and Sony Vaio: PRICE (but same shit)
@brodlum so you're just going to judge two operating systems simply by the boot time? My kernel panics running OS X 10.6: 2, kernel panics while I was running Windows 7: 1 (and fixed after upgrading a driver). Cost of a typical gaming PC: $1,200. Cost of the mac equivalent: $1,800 And besides, Windows would kick OS X's ass any day of the week. I tried OS X, and it's a piece of crap. I'm going to play a few of my Sims games and some of my trucker games and FPS... But not on my Crapple Assintosh.
security? AHAHA, billie , billie billie, how easy is to lie to people that dont know... there are TONS of vulns more (and exploits) for windows that for mac.
@MrSaggat actually, Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2 and Windows 7 are much more secure than OS X, and there are common security updates made available every week, and new malware definitions made every few days for their security client Microsoft Security Essentials. The only reason you don't see malware on a Mac very often is because OS X has less than 10% of the marketshare so noy many people make stuff for it. And besides, security and stability fixes are made like every 6 months on OS X.
@MrSaggat No it doesn't. I've run Windows 7 on my PC for 2 years without ever reinstalling it. It still runs like a charm. There was only one BSOD I've had, and it was thanks to ATI's video driver. I updated my driver and yet to have a problem. I tried a Mac. not only are there no good applications for it, it's more of a vertical screen hog by default. Not to mention it, even being more lightweight, manages to chew up more battery and the battery quickley decalibrates itself while running OS X.
@benjamina222 I dont use Mac, im not a mac lover. But Mac IS faster if you dont have a expensive computer, im a huge unix fan and i can say to you that Windows 7 is also great for gamers and users that dont really know anything about computers. Also remember that most of exploits and security problems still on w7 cause everyone uses it, and hackers are always one step ahead.
Yes it does, W7 has memory leaking but you cant note it(ctrl+alt+supr and check ram) BSSOD? still a problem with hd cards.
@Amdixer Ive never had a virus on my pc. almost all viruses are obtained by being a dumbass and clicking on something you should not be clicking on when you are online.
@zipper978 Same for me ;) I've got a mac for about a year now. But before I had a mac, i had a pc, i did have security installed (norman) but it hardly ever gave me a message... Some people just don't know how to handle the internet or something... I can live without it, I have made my mistakes over the years, and I have learned to recognise links I can trust, and links i can't.
@Amdixer My $900 laptop is 10x faster than that $1999 Macbook. Of course, if you go online looking for viruses that's not how security works... you don't see the banks vaults opened to the public now do you?
@Amdixer most speed and security issues is user failure. i havent had a virus on my pc in years. years.... and my computer is also twice as fast as any current apple out on the market today, for half the price.

Yeah, one day I was just like her and used to buy into all of Mac ads and stupid claims.
Now that I've grown up and learnt computer programming, how to build a PC, how to maintain a PC, how to run software etc... I realised that Apple is 99% advertising and nothing special but simply an overpriced PC (uses Intel's PowerPC x86/x64 processors with PC graphics) with a bunch of ridiculous claims that people gladly buy into.
xRaIDeNx69 4 months ago
I'd prefer to buy a flexible solution rather than spend on a standard iMac... and Instead of investing many thousands into a top spec iMac pro (which is fairly flexible), I could spend half as much and build an even higher spec PC. Then I could go into bios and overclock the tits off it. I gotta admit that I like the style and originality of Macs, but I'm more conscientious of performance and flexibility than mere aesthetics.

@scrfce123 Good luck dude
nxchannel 4 months ago

Plus, it doesn't support Direct X!
scrfce123 4 months ago
@scrfce123 I'm a sound engineer and I record a lot as well as in studio. During the time I ran Win (XP, Vista to 7) I never satisfied because of constant errors, blue screen, crash downs, hangings etc. I lost my works so many times, even though I had great hardwares running with Win. Since I'm on Mac I still haven't experienced any of what I had before. I use a lots of preamps and other hardwares synched to Mac and I must admit that it really works! Same thing never worked on Win though.
nxchannel 4 months ago
@nxchannel In that case, I can certainly understand why you hate Windows. That said, BSOD usually has a lot to do with improper hardware configs. My rig was fairly unstable when I first built it too and I had to really tweak the RAM profile to get it running consistently. It hasn't crashed on me since. Who built your Win PC's?
As for the preamps, we're talking about analog, standalone devices, yes? How did they connect to your machine? Stereo, RCA or SPDIF?
scrfce123 4 months ago
@scrfce123 I'm working at the university. There I'm not allowed to build any PCs because they only take care of this matter. As with preamps, some are connected via SPDIF but most stereo. It's actually different because there are lots of PCs and preamps there. In recording studios we're still running XP because of Pro Tools old version (they probably haven't enough money to upgrade) but in some production studios we use Macs with Logic. At home I only have Mac connected via stereo.

Apple is nice, but Windows still is dominant and has a over 90% of market share simply because it's easier to use and it's much cheaper. You can find a Laptop running Windows 7 for $300! The cheapest Apple Mac is at least $1500.

It's not about what it looks like, it's what it can do
pronoobs3 5 months ago
@pronoobs3 Wake up kid. Even MacBook Air has i7 these days. Any application in Windows or Linux can be run on any intel Macs. The days of platform dependence has pretty much gone away. You can install Windows/Linux on a Mac as a second or even 3rd OS. Or run with VMs and have all 3 major platforms co-exist under OS X. It's just software. Anyways, do a little search and read. If too lazy to read, search on youtube. Time to update yourself.

Why do people think Vista is bad? They upgraded when it was completly new and switched back to XP, after six months there were no problem at all. Dont blame Microsoft, its the third party software developers that were lazy, not MSFT. And Second, some people thinks its cool to flame products over the Internet.
MrTorrHumor 5 months ago
@MrTorrHumor It's also the fact that it made some fundamental changes that took some adapting, like the changes to user profiles, UAC and more significantly the loss of 16bit application support. It would take time for developers to adapt to these changes and inevitably lead to some instability on older applications. But by the time they do adapt people had already dismissed Vista. Thankfully 7 wasn't such a great leap and developers had caught up with the concepts of Vista by then.

@okee9 Yep well the thing is is that a mac pro is the most flawless computer in the world, even bill gates agreed so yea.
FrenzyMountain 5 months ago
@okee9
So when at the end u may find difference of $100 vs mac
cdnml 5 months ago
@cdnml ok, firstly most applications benchmark higher on Win 7 than OSX 10.6, particularly in 3D rendering benchmarks, OSX doesn't support a lot of proprietary API's from video card manufacturers. As for build quality, not even the Mac pro chassis comes close to my Cooler Master HAF, or Lian Li X2000 or Corsair Obsidian and especially not a Thermaltake Level 10. To name just a few. And i wont even begin with the cheap component inside, needless to say the SSD's they use are hardly OCZ Vertex3's

IanBply1 6 months ago
@IanBply1 clearly you don't know much about computer or the history of them so I won't make you look to bad. Microsoft started in 1974 creating the first computer language program written for a personal computer and was shipped out 1975. Apple didn't get started till about 1977 and their "first computer" you are referring to was the Apple 1 witch had Microsoft code written into it, not to mention apple completely stole the idea of the mouse from Xerox.
deecheezy 6 months ago

Andrrtaker 5 months ago
@Andrrtaker It's a little bit of a myth that you can't upgrade a mac. On a MacBook, for example, you CAN upgrade memory and hard drive yourself... What is the percentage of people upgrading something else on their laptop? And, it's so much pain to move your data to a new hard drive on Windows you will hardly ever dare to do that unless it becomes unbearably tight. On the Mac it takes about 5 minutes of interaction with the user.
86rrz 4 months ago

Cost of the mac equivalent: $1,800 And besides, Windows would kick OS X's ass any day of the week. I tried OS X, and it's a piece of crap. MrSaggat 8 months ago
And besides, security and stability fixes are made like every 6 months on OS X.
benjamina222 8 months ago
@benjamina222 Thats bullshit. Windows XP SP3 is fully explotanle *read port 445 issues* same goes for Vista SP2 even with metasplot.
Windows 7 is another thing, is much secure yes, but you can still remote crack the PC with just some easy reverse enginnering.
Microsoft Security Essentials cant even detect a simple coded payload and you think you are protected over that?.
I dont care if it has more or less marketshare, in my case i prefer my custom Linux or Backtrack5.

@benjamina222 plus, that gadgets / expensive UI completely destroys your PC. BSOD stills.
MrSaggat 8 months ago

@Amdixer
Just ask Charlie Miller how secure Windows is. "Mr. Miller says hacking Macs is easier and more fun than hacking PCs."
