  • LOL have u seen the age of the video and how many views it has?

  • You should really replace your CPU fan, coz that's showing that it's either not drawing enough power or your CPU is overheating.

  • Well i'm still not ditching the thing though it seems that due to the uncertainty at this point of what is wrong, I would save money by just buying a new one.

  • Well as an update if anyone cares for this (LOL it's old and random) I tried replacing the controller bus fuse and that didn't work. So I guess I'll try the whole bus next.

Also watching this now is weird cause since I'm 16 now (being 12 and the making of the video) hearing my voice I'm like WTF?

  • im the 2000th viewer :P and also did you get it fixed?

  • If you still have your broken Dreamcast, you can send it to Sega Parts and repair it for $55. Just google ''Sega Parts'' or ''West Coast Games''.

  • I think if you jam your finger into the outlet that its plugged into it should fix it :D

  • mine wont turn on im soooo mad

  • mine wont read the disk

  • adjust the speed of the disk spinning, look up mn12bird dreamcast fix and he has a tutorial

  • the problem is either the frontside bus (controller port chip) or the ribbon cable. The same thing happened to mine because i was doing the same things and i just replaced the bus and it worked fine.

  • I do remember touching the ribbon cable kind of roughly so I try and see if that the problem. Hope I can find a replacement.

  • just call sega

  • I don't think sega supports it anymore and my warranty is long gone.

  • open the dreamcast look for dirt and bugs might be causing the short

    worked for me

  • lol that reminds me of something funny that happend 2 my dreamcast.

one day, my dreamcast would not start.

    so i stopped playing it.

1 year later, i took a screwdriver and found out there was a cheeto inside of it. yay me.

  • @mariosegafreak lol right before i read your comment i saw a cheeto commercial on tv

  • @MarioSegaFreak how did a cheeto get into your dreamcast !?

  • i think i know maybe just maybe the switch is stuck and it thinks it is reading a disk but no disk is in there so it reads nothing and nothing shows up so try and mess with the switch see if that helps.

  • my fan wont spin anymore i put a blow dryer next to the fan on the right side (facing the front). and it started working. i only started playing again to play burned games on cd-rs they work

  • Well the cost a considerable amount of money and for an old system its not worth it (though maybe if i find it cheaper)

  • I see the DVD for Sunshine in the background. I have that movie too. My dreamcast broke with my fucking little cousin removing the lid.

  • That Sucks

  • I know he left and i never saw him again.

  • i have a problem with my dreamcast as well. when i start mine up there is a blue cloudy scene with the a very old date setting and time. how do i fix it

  • (reply to astonishanthony21)i think on that screen you have to set the time and date

  • could someone help me out i had a sega dreamcast and it broke ages ago.

then i got a new one and it worked great then wen i put my old controller in the port it fully fuked the console up and it doesent read controllers anymore, how can i fix this.

  • your controller could have been damaged in some way from the old console or water of something, and when you plugged it in it shorted out the controller ports. Either get a new part or new dreamcast.

  • I have a sega dreamcast system and i have 2 of them the problem seems that is the system fan working if not the dreamcast will cut off after the logo with out the fan or the fan is defective i know how to solve this problem you can look on ebay to find a new fan for the system

  • i try i guess

  • one more thing,,(im thinking as im watching your vid btw) try swithching your tv through pal ntsc secam,,and also try a direct aux input useing a scart (if yours works? cos you said somthing about the RF?)

  • also replace the internal battery,:-)

  • make shure that the ribbon cable is replaced the right way up? if you are not sure? pull it out and replace it the other way round,,its an easy error as the cable will go back in both ways up , try it and see?

  • can you write it?:S

  • and i have 2 wires

  • i cant even get tht to come up on my sega drem cast what channel do u have to have it on and how many wires are there i seem to not get mine to work :( ive had it for years tho and i stopped playing with it ever sinic i was nout 6 or 7

  • hey mine has the same problem any help
