the reason the engine is in the front is because the designers of the origional 6r4 couldnt fit the engine in the front and make it work, surely the builder deserves recognition for the achievment of fitting the 3 litre v6 in the front and fitting a full 4 wheel drive system. it may not be every ones taste but just think aboult the skill and time and effort that has gone into building this amazing car, also regarding the ' body kit' comments, all pannels on the car are genuine 6r4 items.
truely a master feet of engineering getting a lump that big and then wedging it into a tiny engine bay.. Looked cool (just like the orginal obviously) but i think maybe go a different way and tub arches abit so the body kit doesnt stand out as much........that way it would look abit more subtle for when you pull up next to those 'big boy cars' and wipe the floor with them :D

being one of the people heavily involved in the build of this replica, i can assure you that the quality, fit, and finish of this car is something that Austin Rover could only have dreamed about.

the wheelbase is the same as a metro but the complete floorpan is a modified sierra cosworth, which has been made narrower and shorter, then the ford cosworth 2.9 v6 24valve engine was fitted and the power is transfered through a limited slip diff both front and back and the result it a mini metro, that goes like the clappers
