The irony of global warming is that there are natural causes. However if we are really concerned about it we would not restrict manufacturing to the point it is exported to third world nations, or China, that do not have the regulations we have. Most stuff we buy is imported from these nations that pollute without worry (starting to change with global restrictions), but they still have little to no rights for workers and we prop them up with consumption, & they prop us up purchasing our T-bonds.

I see business people propping up the DOW based on the falling dollar & others recognizing a falling dollar & the impact if the dollar looses reserve status, so they are investing in other currencies. Too many people are worried about how many dollars they have, and not what the dollar is worth.

International law is good provided it does not interfere with national sovereignty. Even the UN requires (UN is corrupt and ignores it's laws) that a nation follows it's own laws. Take going to war for example, but we rush to war without regard to our Constitution and that is against both national and international law. We have not had a formal declaration since WW2.
Business like the value of these nations currency relative to ours, but our currency is falling and we do not export enough.

Although obama gave us a tiny income tax cut, he is compensating by increasing countless less noticeable taxes, such as energy and service taxes.

I am not a Republican or Democrat, but this country is on the wrong road. I'm not saying it was on the right one with Bush by the way! But I see whats coming down and I don't like it, our freedom and our right to protest and free speech are becoming harder to use. They say we need a permit or we can't say that because some one was offended. I agree that our fine government has lost the trust of the people and do not put the peoples interest before money and power.

I'm sorry but there is nothing to compare between Obama and Bush's "free speech zones". But I do agree with you. Permits aren't so good either. Still, they have been around for decades, what is different about the path ahead that isn't behind? Course the path behind wasn't that good either. But harder to use? We have the Internet now and we can still march. Fight for freedom of speech at every turn. Course it always seems to be the libs that get hit when police come around. Just saying.

Conservatives will ask anyone who walks and talks and acts like an intellectual, hip democrat to speak their ideology for them. I have a liberal friend who's been asked to speak at conservative conferences - because of his line of work (minister) they think he's a conservative. He has always declined. I think it's time for liberals to start infiltrating the conservative ranks. They need talent. We have it. Just hold that message until you see the whites of their eyes ....

Like I said before, we do not disagree on anything completely and decisively, except abortion. If America is not restored, it will be because of the innocent blood of the unborn, everything else conservatives can live with - but not abortion. It is not about stopping abortions or allowing abortions anymore.
We have an epidemic of poverty in this country that is comparable to third world countries.Abortion is about limiting the procedure. We cannot force a woman not to have an abortion. We all assume it is wealthy people who have the means to carry a child to term, it is not the case, it is poor minorities in slums who get raped, or have no money for contraceptives,if we adrees povert we all win because abortions would be limited
