Set up your legs flat on the ground and push back with your quads. Keep your back straight and dig into the bench with your traps. A stabler base allows you to have a stronger bench.
That was the ugliest bench I have ever seen...beside the fact that you bounced it off your chest you were using you legs which helps you lift that weight...i give it an F
This was at the end of my pyramid workout. You're right, it's not pretty. However, I have control of that weight... I must have, otherwise I wouldn't have been bale to press it up...

a good rep is when you have full control of the weight you are lifting on both eccentric and concentric... alot of momentum and recoil of the bar
