the whole game is so epic. the only bad thing is the game lenght. at my first try i needed 25 hours on the normal mode. everything about the game is good. the music, the graphic, the characters, the story really everything! i can only recommend the game
The biggest problem with this game IMO is the fact that it REQUIRES either patience/stubbornness, or a guide =P There are too many parts that just make you go insane lol. It's a VERY rewarding game, and I am LOVING the hell out of it, but starting up I had to quit for a while, because I got stuck on a part for two weeks with no hints on how to get past... My friend told me how and I beat it in 5 minutes =P From there, of course, it just got better, and better, and better :D
Can you either change your guys looks like diff outfit, play as a different party member (like that other cooler lookin guy with the sword) etc. I am gunna rent magna carta 2 from gamefly but after seein this i dont know if i should change my order...

I escaped the castle jail at the beginning and ended up outside eventually only to find wolves or wild dogs chasing me and I just die there every time I play the game. The girl that was to protect me just stayed with the creatures healing herself and died. Also being unable to use my inventory items because of no pause combat with this game I can't heal myself. Action rpgs are fun but not when you can't easily use items that are needed.
that nighttime forest scene is a pain but if you get past it, it opens up, there is an option using the direction pad to change your team party's actions.. I'm not sure if that option is available at the start also if you want her to heal do NOT be CONNECTed to each other... but it's been a long time since I last played with this so I can't remember much
@DeViLzzz2006 Make her us more Mp, and what not, then she'll heal you when you need it. That's what I usually do. You have to have her action list on though, by holding Rb or R1 depending on what counsole you use, so her command list will pop up. So when you are hurt, she'll heal you, it always works for me.
honestly, a lot of people around brantford have never even heard of this game and i bought it for 10$ thinking it was gonna keep me busy for a couple hours, but man was I wrong, this game has kept me busy for days, it is amazing, and it's pretty challenging too, if a game can piss you off from being hard, then it's good :D

FFXI is online only and you have to pay extra for it every month, I have this game, and I have spent many many many hours on it. I say get Infinite Undiscovery, you won't be dissapointed, the game is great, the story is great, and the battle system is great as well. I promise if you get this game, you would spend hundreds of hours on it, I know I did =D
yea as long as you don't let it hit the ground on 2nd bounce.. but there are 2 other combo's ground and down.. down is the hardest to do especially the achievement.. but it's doable

non story tellers are games like fallout and Oblivion were u are not tied to play the story line. Story tellers like FF are games which you mainly play due to the storyline.
im not saying that story tellers are bad games but most people i know buy these games, beat them and then sell them right away, since the second time experience is pretty much the same except that you know how where everything is and how everything goes.
that's how most Japanese RPGs are, few games escape this reality.

Another story teller. a Good game if your looking for a great storyline. if ur into gameplay, then save ur money. Story Tellers has almost no replay value.
The Zelda TP was shallow (as every game after ocarina) and easy as hell (the roll-goal mini game was tougher to beat than the game) Tales of Symphonia 2 had the lamest, most emo protagonist ive seen in a while. PS3 has too many Story Tellers, 360 has more games that keep me playing them again and again. Story tellers makes my wallet bleed

Yea lost odyssey is good but the four discs are misleading. I thought it would be long but it turns out that the extra detail in characters and cutscenes makes the game alot bigger giving you 4 discs. It takes me longer to play FFX's base story with no extras than to play Lost Odyssey. I was disappointed with turn base though, they made it so you had to select your entire party's move before seeing what going to happen and wouldnt allow you to take into account your own moves in the same turn
for instance, you can revive a character but you must wait until the next turn to heal them even if you have several other characters that could do so in the same turn. Or like you cast a magic spell with several people only the enemy then casts reflect before your party attacks and every gets their attacks reflected back. The battle system was fun but some of it was poorly constructed

no FFX is on the PS2, I was just making a comparison. dont get oblivion. Maybe its just me, but that game is terrible. I bought a broken 360 cheap so I could fix it and play Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, and the Last Remnant. I might check out Magna Carta 2 which comes out next month I think, but I just really dont like the 360 and Im gonna sell it when Im finished playing the games I wanted to. Its not really a keeper system. There are some good RPG's on Wii. like Zelda and Tales of Symphonia come to mind first. Im excited about mario galaxy 2.

Time Based? idk what that is but its sort of a mix of real time and turn based. Its not real time like FFXII or .Hack. but its not really turn based like FFX, its sort of a mix. Kinda hard to explain. I dont particularly like it but its ok.

ye, i played IU first about more than half a year ago then about 3 months after star ocean 4 came out, i watched the vids f it and thought it was amazing and i got completley obsessed with it! got it 4 days ago and got onto 3rd disc in 3 days, both very good games
Yeah, Eternal Sonata is made by Tri-crescendo, a "fraction" of Tri-Ace(who did this), and the relativity in design creativity and music(which is what Tri-crescendo is known for) are noticeable. If you like any game made by Tri-ace for it's design, story, and music, you'll probably like Eternal Sonata.
It just has zero replay value because the battle system gets old fast, and leveling up is mostly what you do in that game when not doing something storyline related.
yup only the weapons change on your character. the armour even though you equip different stuff it wont change the way your character looks. a lot of them you will have to make.

It's not a bad game. It has some good ideas, they were just incorporated poorly. It's not going to win any awards but it's an enjoyable game none the less.

So, how does the skill amount work, what I mean is, is there like tech points, skill points, or any other measure of how much you can use a special? Because it looked to me they could use whatever whenever they wanted.
you don't assign any skill points. the magic and battle skills you learn is kinda old fashioned way ie just level up. there are some final/ultimate skills but you have to unlock them from the Seraphic gate which im currently trying to do but I'm sidetracked by new games now..

Godness gracious! 826 hit combo. I dont even need to say pwned, thats a given. This game (or atleast this vid) reminds me of Star Ocean 2:Second Story (which is one of the greatest RPG's of all time). This vid clearly makes me wanna buy this game, and the price on it is now $39.99 new. I especially loved how it looked like the party could sit and rest (like you did at the end of the vid), I was actually blown away at that small detail. Realistic and a sence of interaction with eachother. I want!
speaking of star ocean. Did you know the 4th one is coming out first half of next year. I haven't been a big rpg player, but I have lost odyssey and just got fable 2 and love them both. I am hoping to get Infinite Undiscovery, the Last Remnant and the new Star Ocean.

Time Based? idk what that is but its sort of a mix of real time and turn based. Its not real time like FFXII or .Hack. but its not really turn based like FFX, its sort of a mix. Kinda hard to explain. I dont particularly like it but its ok.

ye, i played IU first about more than half a year ago then about 3 months after star ocean 4 came out, i watched the vids f it and thought it was amazing and i got completley obsessed with it! got it 4 days ago and got onto 3rd disc in 3 days, both very good games

Yeah, Eternal Sonata is made by Tri-crescendo, a "fraction" of Tri-Ace(who did this), and the relativity in design creativity and music(which is what Tri-crescendo is known for) are noticeable. If you like any game made by Tri-ace for it's design, story, and music, you'll probably like Eternal Sonata.

It just has zero replay value because the battle system gets old fast, and leveling up is mostly what you do in that game when not doing something storyline related.

yup only the weapons change on your character. the armour even though you equip different stuff it wont change the way your character looks. a lot of them you will have to make.

i cant believe some of u actually like this game? this is literally the worst game ive ever played in my whole life. barely any voice acting in all of the cutscenes, u expect me to read fucking subtitles with lip animations wtf? button mashing gameplay, cliche storyline, same old generic characters. I can't believe some people still buy this hit. i give this game a 0/10. some of u are going to go ahead and dismiss me, go ahead and try this game and see for urself. ur gonna waste ur money watch.

this looks fun and cool, ready for me to list a game that this reminds me of that no one has said yet... star ocean till the end of time... just the battle system does except instead of accully going in to a battle scene showing off the enemy to make it seem badass, the second u see a enemy u fight it... thats what i like... nvr tried the newer FF's but i intend to and never played kingdom hearts, renetd it but it was scratched and ruined =[

So, how does the skill amount work, what I mean is, is there like tech points, skill points, or any other measure of how much you can use a special? Because it looked to me they could use whatever whenever they wanted.

you don't assign any skill points. the magic and battle skills you learn is kinda old fashioned way ie just level up. there are some final/ultimate skills but you have to unlock them from the Seraphic gate which im currently trying to do but I'm sidetracked by new games now..

only control capell. you can decide who goes in your main party except for secondary characters.

Godness gracious! 826 hit combo. I dont even need to say pwned, thats a given. This game (or atleast this vid) reminds me of Star Ocean 2:Second Story (which is one of the greatest RPG's of all time). This vid clearly makes me wanna buy this game, and the price on it is now $39.99 new. I especially loved how it looked like the party could sit and rest (like you did at the end of the vid), I was actually blown away at that small detail. Realistic and a sence of interaction with eachother. I want!

speaking of star ocean. Did you know the 4th one is coming out first half of next year. I haven't been a big rpg player, but I have lost odyssey and just got fable 2 and love them both. I am hoping to get Infinite Undiscovery, the Last Remnant and the new Star Ocean.
