  • never mind, i solved the problem

  • for some reason, mine only picks up some frequencies. you can rarely hear the vocals. wtf?

  • @kissfan747 that may be "out of phase" wireing

  • Can you connect it to your sterio???

  • I've recorded The Eagles - On The Border, and One of These Nights. Bad Company - Self-Titled, Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, Sha Na Na -The Golden Years of Rock 'N' Roll, and you know what? It sounds phenomenal. Also, it sounds excellent in my truck on my polk system... plus my dad's impressed with it as well seeing as they're his albums.

Just make sure you use a good discwasher (d4 is great) before you run your lp's, set your input level on the usb mic-setting to 5,and knock the gain down .3!

  • I just bought one, it's in transit. I thought about buying a vintage machine with anti-skate and tone arm balancing, but it could end up being more of a hassle than its worth. This unit is reminiscent of a TT I had in my early teen years and was fond of. Hey, it can play my old Star Wars Soundtrack LP through my Logitech speakers w/ stereo RCA input - that's all I need ! Nice review.

  • I'm thinking about buying this but I've read that the needle/cartridge is poor and will damage your records over time. Have you found this yet? I wouldn't be connecting it by usb and only to my stereo. I don't have a audio in socket but I've got video in sockets that are red and white. Will this work with that socket?

  • I'd hate to be a party pooper but nothing I've seen so far that's made by ION is a good idea if you want to look after your records. I'd advocate a serviced, vintage turntable (best to do some research), with either a decent stereo preamp or standalone, and that you clean your records both with a proper cleaning machine and with a hand brush prior to playing. That's just me, though.

  • $59!!! Here in Serbia it's about 130 € (more than 150$)...

  • how much this?

  • @Ybrain100 About $70 US

  • PINK FLOYD !!!! Dark side of the Moon 30th Anniversairy Edition !!!!! 1:17 xD

  • I have too !!

    I'm in Vietnam

  • you really need to clean up your desktop LOL have you ever heard of folders? its the easiest thing to do on a computer besides point + click :P

  • Cool just got one!

  • can i hear the music if i not plug to a stereo, it sound?(sorry for my english)

  • @giannni1995 The sound will come through your computer speakers when hooked up by USB.

  • song ;O?

  • can you scrach

  • @reachboy1 No

  • so i have this player, why can't i turn up volume or hear it loud. i can hear a very faint sound. how do i turn it up?

i use this record player just to listen to my old records

  • @californian878 How do you have it hooked up to your receiver? This turntable cannot be connected to Phone Inputs.

  • i got this like 3 monthes ago and whenever i go to swing the arm to play my record the arm jerkes and goes back to the resting position.

  • @AMAZINGJAMZ That certainly isn't right...so you can not get the needle on the record at all? If so, I would return it.

  • @yooper423 well it happenes like every once and a while and its basicallly like im pressing the stop button but im not. and i can get the needle on but not every single time. its weird

  • @AMAZINGJAMZ The turntable does auto-return at the end of the record, so, my guess would be that the sensor is malfunctioning intermittently...

  • I want to get this player just for listening to vinyls instead of converting them. Does it sound good? Will vinyls still sound good if this player is hooked up to a digital sound system?

  • @slideon For just playing vinyl is sounds good. Although, if you are just going to use it for playing records through a receiver, and you don't mind paying a little more, I would get a regular turntable. That would allow you to get a higher-quality cartridge.

  • @yooper423 Thanks. I think I will pay more for a better one.

  • I think it's a goodbye...

  • great!!!

  • thank you for this informative video. i am currently thinking of getting this. how is it doing now after 5 months? is it still working? i do not know much about this ION company. sound quality still decent? thanks again.

  • @MrYoda1972 The turntable is still working fine. Great to get some of my old vinyl on my iPad to listen to at work. ION is one of the few companies providing this type of product to the mainstream. And while it is not the highest quality, I believe it is a good deal for the price.

  • @yooper423 thank you. btw, what is your sound system set up? what receiver and speaker are you using?

  • @MrYoda1972 My setup is kind of a kluge. I have a older Sony AV receiver (no HDMI), a 10" Sony powered sub, Bose 201s on the side, and a Bose center. Need to upgrade my receiver soon...need HDMI

  • ahhh the cracking an popping, make me feel warm and fuzzy like a hot fireplace on a cold night, I haven't listened to an album in 20 years!

  • im not too good with technology so i was just wonderin, does it come set up out of the box ?

  • @markbhoward I plugged mine into the red and white audio jacks of the Video 1 input.

  • @markbhoward i agree

  • @markbhoward Got it, put it into the 'TV' input. I was worried about trial and error method as the instruction manual warns of damaging the receiver if connected to the 'phono' input, and there is no lesson on what a 'line input' is.

  • i can make beats with it!!! yeah...

  • @McRaims no shit sherlock

  • @AyePaul very much people dont know it!

beacause most of the turntable dont have the usb conection and you can't sample with original lp quality!

  • this machine is a mistake in itself; let alone buying one. these usb ones are all crappy as hell. very lowest quality in every sense. paying 180 for something far better, is better than paying 59 for something which is exponentially worse; and thus not worth it at ALL. just output a good phono turntable through an amplifier into a computer via line in, to record.

  • Is the needle ceramic... I cant find for the life of me find that info anywhere

  • @SpadesHeart most definitely. all those that have that same red cartridge, with no visible adjustment or screws to remove it to be upgraded, are crappy ceramic carts that put way more force, and thus wear on your records.

  • @null140 do you know anything about the memorex USB turntable? other than its difficult to import the music that is haha

  • @SpadesHeart i'm afraid all i've heard is that very fact. i just think that, if you're trying to get the most out of a vinyl-to-digital rip, it's probs. worth getting, or using a turntable designed to PLAY, not archive records; coz these new, cheaper ones just aren't as good. I think it's just as easy to run your amplifier into your computer and record from there; it's more expensive, but you pay for what you get; its better to get a few decent things, rather than lots of crappier things lol

  • @SpadesHeart in fact, before i bought my Pro-Ject Genie 3, i got through 3 or 4 different cheap turntables; took them all back for either being unsuitable for my phono amp, being generally shoddy and cheap, and playing at the wrong speed. i just can't believe they can sell things that play too fast or slow; it's unbelievable. either that or they have crappy tracking, and skip all over the place. it would have saved a lot of time and hassle to just buy the slightly more expensive thing first!

  • Im new to vinyl and turntables but can i just buy this turntable to listen to records on it?

  • i am thinking of buying this turntable :) can you tell me if the power supply is universal (110v-240v) or i have to buy a transformer - i live in europe (we use 220v here).thanks

  • Thanks for the Review

  • Hi, I really liked your video. I've been thinking of buying one, since I have a decent vinyl collection and I tought it would be nice to have all those records digitalized, so those wouln't have any damage or scratchs.

I'm currently watching reviews about this products and I see that Ion has released another turntable, with flash usb and sd card recording. Do you think one of those would be worthed? Or should I stick with this model?

    Thanks in advice

  • what about its sound quality? thats an important thing to add when talking about turntable.

  • @TheEnviroFriend Clearly this is not something that an audiophile would consider a high-quality piece of gear, but, I think it sounds every bit as good as my 10 year old Kenwood that I paid about $200 for. Considering how easy this makes it for the average person to digitize their vinyl, I would absolutely recommend it.
