  • Bulter Didit... need I say more?

  • I'd like a little blue wine :O)

  • I can't watch this properly after seeing Madanonymous Cluedodoo series.

  • @MrEpicake Thats how I got here :~)

  • By far one of the best games of all time - though, like most people, I watched it as a movie more than as a game (it was always so hard to get people together long enough to learn the game and then play it). The acting and the script is absolutely hysterically funny. CLUE II - MURDER IN DISGUISE was also hillariously brilliant with the cast acting even more lunatic than the first one. I love watching Mrs White talking English on the phone attempting to order chop suey in Asia. I'd love a Clue 3!

  • @hmghosthost Yeah I remember just watching the movie instead of playing Lol!! I'm a fan of the board game and recently bought the DVD version/board game though and had no idea there was a Clue 2!!

  • 4:19 Didit says, "Im never a victim or a murderer."

yeah, thats what they all say.

  • My dad produced this game when he was working for Parker Brothers in the 80s. He has an album of behind the scenes photos from the set and we still have the dagger and poison bottle used for the movie in our house.

  • @daveyagravey Awesome!! any stories behind the scenes (bloopers, etc.)

  • My siblings and I used to play this when we were kids. We still quote these games to this day! "There's no clock in here!" "I was never in Borneo". "Nobody ate soup, and nobody ate salad", "Happy to oblige", "French Food!", "My business card, what kind of business are you in? None of your business!", "I can feel the vibrations".

  • @joshmas

I'm LMAO reading your post because I can totally picture what you're talking about. I did that once on a road trip with a friend. He said, "There's a hottie in the car behind us". So I flipped down the visor mirror to look but my head blocked the view behind us, and I suddenly said, "I can't see, Flo!" (from Finding Nemo... if you saw it you'll know what I mean). My friend laughed so hard that I seriously thought we were going to crash.

  • @joshmas

My favorite lines to use from the video is when Mdm. Rose says "Run away, Teddy, the man's a lunatic!" and "You put that nasty thing away!", and when Mrs. Peacock says, "I like to steal things, they supliment my income" and "I don't seem to have anything on me that's mine." At Christmas, when the family is together, I love to quote Monseiur Brown, "I assume everyone here knows each other - no strangers...?"

The writers should have won an Oscar.

  • Omg. I totally remember this game!!!! I loved it!!!

  • "The black suspect cards"

  • Knife Prty

  • Never did quite understand this as a kid and all I did was watch it :-/

  • @EminemFan202 same hahaha.

  • Good shit. I don't care what anyone says.

Given that this tape is supposed to be goofy, the acting really isn't that bad.

  • The most confusing game ever. All i did was watch the tape

  • Had this game as kid in the 80s.......just could never understand it

  • @cpress75 Yeah, I had this game too as a kid but just couldn't understand it.

  • Butler Didit? I c wht u did thar game.

  • how did these VCR games work I mean wouldn't ya just get the same results every time with this VCR game or any VCR game

  • @odog65

The VIDEO is the same each time, but the game you are playing with the video is different each time. You only use the video to get clues from each scene to identify the cards held by other players. I think there are 36 combinations presented in the secret decoder book in the game. You not only have to figure out the murderer, weapon and room, but you also have to figure out each player's character identity - which you figure out by watching video scenes.

  • I was never IN Mozambique!!

I love just watching the video. So hilarious! Thanks much for posting!

  • OMG loved this video as a kid. thank you for uploading!

  • Oh, and .. "Quit winking at me, you oversexed Frenchman! " " I was not winking, I was ... blinking!" Ahhh, good times ....

  • Hated playing the game, but loved the movie! To this day, I remember "GYPSIES ... GYPSIES CAME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND STOLE MY BAAABY!"

  • I used to have this game as a kid. . . in Beta! Never played the game much but I loved the video. Thanks for posting this!

  • This isn't the first time that Brunette, Grey, Peach and Rose have appeared in a Cluedo game. That would be the Master Detective version of the board game.

  • @betterwatchit

I've been playing CLUE since 5th grade (back in the late 70's) and I'd NEVER heard of "Cluedo" until just recently... and that was only because I saw an image of an old Cluedo poster on the Clue PC game. What the hell is a cluedo.

  • @hmghosthost It's called Clue in North America and Cluedo everywhere else.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have to be honest, I love that these were made in the first place. I played every mystery in both games in just one day. it's also nice to be able to sit back and watch the characters personalities because I'm trying to write a Clue murder mystery dinner party game. (trying being the key term here)

  • Malcolm Fraser as the butler, wearing the pants.

  • Plum denied the White Wine because it's not Purple.

  • It was the butler

    TAN TAN TAN!!!

    lol JK !!!

  • I have this game, and the second one in the set! both are great fun!

  • god this brings back so many good childhood memories, had the whole game set, and i use to just watch this tape over and over instead of playing the game cause i love the whole setting of the movie, and cheesiness of it. so addicting and funny lol. cheers to the uploader!

  • I still have this VCR game! I remember playing this on several occasions! Would love to do a Real-Life version of it.

  • My family and I were obsessed with the movie! We never even played the game, lol, we just watched the movie

  • LOL I always used to watch this and the sequel just for fun! I wonder where these actors are now?

  • Lol Everybody has a weapon. :)

  • Wow...this brings back memories. It's been at least 15, if not 20 years since I've seen this, and it's amazing how much I remembered. And like most other people on this thread, the rules were way too complicated, so I just liked watching the movie, as bad as it is.

  • I never had this! This is awesome! Thanks!

  • Aww man, this was an awesome game! I still have it somewhere. Just have to talk my wife into playing it. My sisters and I growing up would rather watch it like a movie. They need to re-do this on DVD!

  • wow. i was in 3rd grade when we played this. thanks for posting!

  • Yes!!!! I'm not the only one who only watched the video!!!

  • This brings back so many good memories. Its funny how most people say just watching the video is the best part.. lol. It is quite funny :D

  • This is never been release in the Philippines back in the mid 80's

  • I had this game. I just ended watching the tape cuz I had no clue what the fuck was going on

  • @ehalofan I was the same way. I never played the game. I just watched the tape, lol.

  • If you are looking to buy this game, Goodwill is a great place to find used copies! I have purchased several copies of this game there. I love this game and especially the movie! Been playing it since I was a child and it never gets old.

  • Man, I kinda wish I had those cards. |D

  • Oooohhh, I use to love watching this! Thank you for the upload <3

  • Does anyone else agree this is the most amazing video ever.

  • For people who've seen this check out the 4-part series of YouTube Poops called 'cluedodoo', by madanonymous :)

  • @WeaselKing1000 That actually why I'm watching the original. XD

  • @ZetaNeubourn *Mrs. Peacock voice* I didn't know that! Me toOoO! :D

  • me and my friend found this game at goodwill today for a dollar along with the movie...worst piece of shit ever.

  • timing a roast ha ha ... ba boom ..

  • My theater professor is Sargent Grey

  • @mikeymill That's amazing. Does he have crazy stories about making this?

  • Thank you thank you thank you thank you for giving me back a little piece of my childhood! I REGRET letting my parents talk me into selling these at a yard sale! "Now I have to remake BREAKFAST!"

  • Mrs. White can teleport. Be afraid.

  • we've tried playing the game a couple of times but the video is so funny we can never concentrate on the evidence

  • Until youtube, I had long forgotten this ever existed or that I had watched this... thank goodness someone uploaded things like this!! :D

  • 6:49

"Kids ... I have no .. literally NO fuckin' idea how to play this. Sorry".

  • I still have this tape somewhere. It's worth watching every once in awhile for the comedy. Between the bad writting, cheesy acting, and synth music, what's not to love?

My favorite part is actually the intro where Didit explains the rules of the game. Watching an actor get visibly confused is priceless.

  • I don't know about everyone else, but wow, that is a lot of rules to remember. I never thought he would ever stop. I already lost interest.

  • O.M.G. I remember this game! It used to belong to my older brothers. I remember when I was little me and my younger brother would ditch the game to watch the video :-) I was always Miss Scarlet. Good times!! Thanks for posting =]

  • time to play clue on the ol sega genesis

  • Haha! It's nice to know that my siblings and I weren't the only ones that ignored the game and only watched the movie. Thank you so much for posting these videos! XD

  • Us too!!!! :)

  • yeah we have clue 1 and 2 and we are missing cards so we just ignore the game and watch the videos

  • :-)amen! us too

  • My younger brother and I ignored the game too and just watched the video. :-) so your not alone on this!! =]

  • +1 to that. I never owned it but it was at the beach many years ago and i watched the movie but cant really remember it now. Thanks for posting!! I had to go on wikipedia to find out what it was called again lol.

  • You may not have noticed it but the liquids in the glasses were the same colour of the people's names.

  • I noticed it way back when the game came out. It's pretty obvious =]

  • Ok, so after a lot of anticipation and set up, my kids and I just sat down to play his game (can you believe I still have it from my childhood?!?)....but-horror of all horrors, we discovered my video tape is broken (go figure!!!). So what a miracle that you had this video on here-I just plugged the computer in to the tv and we were good to go. My kids loved it and it was as fun as I remember...

  • I was like 12 when this came out... i loved it... man I was a geek back then! ha ha

  • Miss Scarlett just passed the butler some cards.

  • I used to LOOOOOOOVE this game!!

  • I loved this game...."I was never in Sumatra".......it was awsome

  • This game was awesome. I loved this video. I wish they'd come out with a new DVD version.

  • Man, I used to watch this thing like it was a movie. I'm sure you've all noticed this, but there is one scene later in the video where, in the upper-right window (in red) you can see the silhouette of someone making a stabbing motion. I can't remember how far into the video it is. I always thought it was Miss Scarlet. "I was never in Borneo."

  • Well I hava good clue of who it was personally I think everyone is guility.

  • my jealous sister stole my tape and hid it! i'm so happy 2 see it after all this time...i still know all the words!

  • Im a film maker in Rhode Island, I would like to do a documentary on the game. Does anyone know how to contact any of the original actors?

  • thanks for posting

A lot of these actors are still living in the Massachusetts area, where it was filmed.

  • thank you so much for posting this! my sisters and I never actually played the game but we watched this movie over and over again!

  • THANKS so much for posting this. I loved that game! It was funnier than a lot of movies.

  • I'm also a fan of the VCR game of CLUE.I agree

with the others who have posted comments. The

VCR version of CLUE was great...and I would also love it on DVD.

  • I loved this game! Think of how much easier it would be now in a DVD format. We killed our Clue 2 tape from rewinding so much. I guess this is why you don't play a marathon of this during the summer.

Just hearing that opening again with the crash of the thunder was so nice. I used to love that little delay until the mansion popped up and the music started.

  • Thanks for posting I loved this game as a kid for the movie alone! Do you have part 2 Murder In Disguise as I'd love to see that also?

    Thanks Again!

  • @jadeblatz Oh my gosh!! I was just telling my friend that I used to watch the movie alone!! It was so cool. Clue is my favorite board game, and I loved the VCR mystery game :)
